I love my new Maytag washer. I can only hope it gives me the long standing use that my previous Maytag gave me. It is a little tricky learning the right setting that gives the right amount of water into the tub. Now that I have it is so much better. It cleans the clothes very well. I am very satisfied with this Maytag washer. It costs more than most others but well worth the price.

Having used the washer for about a month, I am very satisfied with this washer. One thing that has not happened is an unbalanced load. It happened quite often with our previous washer when washing bulky items. The washer is not the largest available but is large enough for our family. The clothes come out clean with no rips (noticed complaints in other reviews). It also contains enough cycles to satisfy our needs. For the price it can't be beat.

As expected, an excellent installation job by the Geek Squad. The Maytag washer performs perfectly and I highly recommend it—mid-priced but with the features and performance of much more expensive brands we considered, including or previous Samsung, which was more expensive and only lasted 4 years with just moderate usage. Highly recommend Maytag and, of course, Best Buy.

I bought this top loader to replace an LG front loader which was very expensive but did not hold up. I wanted a top loader and did a bit of research before chosing this Maytag. Unfortunately, I am old school and like to see water in my wash. No top loader today has the old style agitator and choice of water level. I am trying to get use to this machine. It does clean the wash but sometimes the water level is up to the clothes and other times it doesn't look like there is enough water??? There is no good explanation in the manual that comes with the machine. I do think I will get used to it. The body style is ok. It does not look as appealing as my old LG but then again it was half the price of what I paid for the LG. I don't need a complicated machine so I think this one suits my needs. My kids are grown and it is only my husband & I so it is just fine for me.

My high-end 11-year old washer gave out...will likely sell/move within next 5 years, so just needed a basic washer to replace mine. This is REALLY basic. I totally miss some of the advanced settings of my high-end washer. But...I got both washer AND dryer for same price as a high-end washer, so it’ll be fine to leave with house when we sell. It is rather noisy...makes a clanky noise when it kicks off. But runs quiet after that but there is no alarm that sounds when the cycle is done. Does run a pretty full tub of water for “bulky/sheets” mode, even if the load of sheets is small (twin). So, the sensor doesn’t adjust for load size, which is disappointing considering water waste. And the tub is pretty big, which is a plus for larger loads. Overall, for the price, I got what I paid for, so this is a great washer for very basic needs.

What I like is the fact that there is no agitator stick in the middle of the tub to grab your clothes during the wash. It holds a lot of clothing, is easy to figure out how to use, and saves water. It has so many choices for so many things that end up in a washer, that sometimes you really have to decide between the two best ways of doing it. Maybe that's a negative for some people, but I happen to like the many choices.

This was my first high-efficiency washing machine so I was kind of apprehensive about how well it would clean clothes without an agitator given that some of the clothes sit above the water line. Well I am glad to said that the washer does an admirable job cleaning clothes. This is a mid-budget HE top loader and does not have all the bells and whistles and wash cycles that higher end models have but do I really need literally bells and whistles to tell me my clothes have completed the wash cycle or that it spins 30% to 40% faster? Not in my opinion. So thumbs up to this machine which I gladly recommend.

I looked for a top load washer after being advised by a repairman that my 2nd front load washer in 15 years was "dead". He said that top load machines are more reliable than front load washers. I researched several top load washers online before looking at them in the store. This Maytag washer is versatile because you can decide how much water to use. The drum is huge and unlike other top loaders I can reach the bottom easily. Some other brands had drums that were way too deep and I would need a gripper to reach the clothes on the bottom. This machine was reasonably priced and does a great job. If you follow the simple directions to layer the items around the drum without covering the center, everything is clean. Great machine!

I have always had Maytag washers, so I was looking for a new one. I liked this one because the tub is very big around, and I can reach the bottom. I am short, so that was very important. Once the washer was home, I discovered it was very very noisy as it washed. I solved this by closing the laundry room door. The only other thing I dislike is the fact that the top is not level. It slopes toward the front. As someone who has always folded clothes on top of the washer I don’t like this as things tend to slide off. The washer cleans well though. Hopefully when Maytag makes another model, they will not slope the top, although they last so long that probably won’t help me.

This is a great washer, I looked online and in stores at a lot of places and I could not find one that had all these features and was the right size for my space. Washer is easy to use, quiet and a good price. Plus you can't beat free delivery and installation! The washer does not have an agitator which is great when trying to wash comforters or other large items.

Our old (really old) washer died. It was a sad day. We decided to get an HE washer since we are on a community well and septic tank. This washer’s size and load capacity more than fits the need for this family of 4. It has more than enough options for our laundry needs. I love having the deep water option but most of all not having to select a water level is great! A lot of times with our old washer the same level was kept selected when not necessary. I have not used the clean cycle yet since I’ve had the washer less than a month, but I will use it. So far even with the hard water I don’t see any stains showing in the washer. I’m pleased with the purchase and have no complaints.

I am happy with the washer so far. I had read the reviews and followed some of the suggestions. One suggestion was to bunch clothing around the sides to prevent tangling. I don't seem to have any trouble with the clothes being tangled. Another suggestion was to use the deep water wash setting if you feel that there isn't enough water in the tub to wash the cloths adequately. The deep water wash setting just puts in a little more water in the tub, but it still is a lot less than with our old top-loading washer. This should help this our water bill. I mostly use the light soil level setting. The time the washer takes to wash the cloths is acceptable. The cloths come out clean and smelling good. There is a lot more room in the tub without the agitator. The Best Buy salesman was very courteous & knowledgeable and helped my husband and I select the washer that was just right for us. The delivery people took away our old washer & delivered/hooked up the new washer efficiently. I don't know if I will continue to be happy with the washer, but for right now I am.

The high efficiency washer has just been great. It has no agitator to take up space hence more room for clothes. Love the glass lid, very entertaing to see the clothes in action. We've had this washer for over a month now and I still can't get over how good it smells when it's not being used and the lid is up. Very happy with the purchase.

    Lousy Service from BEST BUY

On September 6, 2016 we purchased a Maytag 4.3 CF Top Load washer (Model MVWX655DW) and a Maytag 7.0 CF Electric Dryer (Model MEDX655DW) for what we thought a good arrangement at Best Buy. Best Buy delivery crew arrived on time on September 9,2016 and completed the installation of the Dryer to our satisfaction. However, we noticed that the washer was being delivered as an open box item. This became a more serious issue when the crew told us that they were unable to complete the installation because as an open box item a part missing (e.g. the hose for the evacuation of laundry water)! On closer inspection we also found out that the said washer was damaged as it carried several scratches on the sides and in the front that could be seen with naked eye. It was obvious that the delivery center had failed to send us a unit that met the requirements of what we had contracted for during our visit to the store. Indeed, when we were at the store shopping for the two items, we had noticed floor samples of the same model and make that were being discounted at 20% or even 30 % in some cases. We declined the option of buying any of these units and instead paid the price for the unit as advertised by Best Buy. Please note that this item was on sale in several stores of Houston at the same price and conditions but having been Best Buy customers for over 20 years in different US locations we decided to do our shopping at Best Buy. It seems we have made a mistake and our confidence in Best Buy has been badly shaken. We have been to the store and talked on line with several people of the customer service unit to understand what happened and why. Everybody at Best Buy has agreed with us that this was a deplorable incident and we were right in rejecting delivery. And yet as of now no one from Best Buy has contacted us to tell us when a replacement unit will be delivered to our house. Best Buy expands considerable effort, time and resources to maintain a certain image of itself in the public eye and makes claims that define its operations. I am afraid that these claims do not have any meaning any more for me because what has happened has seriously sapped my trust and confidence in Best Buy.

We went back to a top load machine after a terrible experience with the asko r front loader. SO glad to be back to a top loader. THE machine has been great so far. Only negative is the detergent cup stays full with water so I have to empty it out and leave to dry. The machine makes some weird noises but we quickly got used to it. Fit's an enormous amount of clothes. No problem for me to reach in to pull out all items i'm 5' 6". Using the normal wash cycle takes about an hour a little longer than I wanted but way better than my old front loader.

This was bought for my dad. He's 80+ years old, so the simpler the better. Definitely recommend for older generations who just want simple touch & go buttons. It's auto-sensing so it'll adjust the water with the weight of clothes so not only do you save water, you save money too. Recommend buying detergent pods to save even more time & not over-soaping your clothes. Makes it easier for the whole family. It's not super deep, which is good for manageable reach but definitely big enough to fit a thick king sized blanket in there. Like I said, my dad loves it because it's so easy-to-use, just adjust the wash settings, load size & go. No multiple button-pressing to confuse him with. And the see-through lid makes it easy to see what's being washed or needs to be taken out if you forgot something. 5/5 for people who want an easy, no fuss washer.

I've had a front load machine for the past 9 years and liked the way it cleaned but hated when my clothes would fall out when I'd open the door! It was time to replace it recently. I purchased the top load Maytag 4.3 Cu. Ft. 11-Cycle High-Efficiency washer and I absolutely LOVE it! At first I was skeptical and asked "did I make a mistake buying this"? I watched the entire first wash. It didn't seem like enough water was inside (The see through lid is amazing) but to my surprise, my clothes are brighter and my whites are whiter! It was a very smart and thrifty buy!! Absolutely thrilled with this machine!

This machine is quiet, powerful, water saving and you can load a lot of large items in at one time. It saves water and automatically senses the water level based on the amount of clothes. It spins dry the clothes to the point where they don't need much time in the dryer.

This high efficiency washer works very well. It is so much more effective than the old models in terms of loading, water usage & time needed in dryer afterward. The only thing you need to adjust to is the sounds that are so different from old school machines but all in all it's much quieter.
