Maytag service was awful because they don't allow the repair techs to bring parts prior to diagnosing the problem. End result - no working washer for 2 weeks so I returned them and got a Samsung set which I am very happy with.

It was placed to close the the cabinet next too it, and as it ran for the 1st time, there was an extremely loud vibrating sound. The sound was caused by the wall of the washer vibrating against the cabinet. It took 2 weeks to get it moved an inch to create a little gap. It's to soon to review the washer as I haven't been able to use it yet.

Great Solid Washing Machine

Really leaves clothes and towels clean and fresh smelling. Love the Sanitize, Allergen, and PwrWsh features. Very happy with this purchase. I will be even happier if this Maytag lives up to its reputation and lasts 12-15 years. My Samsung died after 5 years. Solid machine. Quiet when washing. Touch loud when drain cycle comes on. Overall well balanced and smooth machine and really gets clothes clean. Love it!

The controls were not as sensitive as other reviews have reported and the noise level was not objectional during wash or high-speed spin. My laundry room is small and has a tile floor which may contribute to this observation. The Maytag gets 5 stars so far (1 week) The Best Buy experience on the other hand, not so much. The salesman said that a new set of water supply hose must be purchased from Best Buy ($30.00) which was required to have Best Buy install and maintain any warranty. I bought a 5-year extended warranty but all they had was a flyer on the general coverage. I had to go home and go on line to determine what I had actually purchased. Having a copy of the warranty must be beyond their company goals. When the machine arrived, the installers did not level the machine, adjust the drain tube from the shipping position, or install the water hose. He replied the hose I had was good enough, (8 years old). After he left, I looked at the hose box and read the warranty, 90 days. Recommended hose replacement is 5 years. I went to Lowes and purchased the correct supply lines with a 7-year warranty (EASTMAN #0788151) and installed them myself. I returned to Best Buy and got a refund for supply lines they sold me. Naturally they apologized. (Using 3rd party contractors may be part of the problem.) Best Buy Experience gets 1 star.

I was skeptical of how well a HE washer would clean. This washer, set on stain removal, got ink stains that were set in by washing and drying an ink pen in my old machine, out of dark clothing. I like all the different settings and it saves a lot of water. My old machine used about 90 gallons with a double rinse, this machine uses ten gallons and cleans better. I like the delayed start for when I get home from work and the clothes are ready to go in the dryer. This is a washing machine, they make noise, but it is not excessive. I do not need a machine that looks like a sports car, just one that cleans well. I would buy this washer again and highly recommend it to anyone.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had the this washer and dryer combo for a couple of weeks. The washer is a good unit, not amazing. It's quite throughout all cycles, the loudest part is the drain pump, but it's not bad. I did see complaints about the noise of the drain pump and even videos of how loud they can be. My unit isn't near as loud as some out there, so if you get a unit that seems to be overly loud I would recommend to return it. One thing I'll point out is it will not make your close brighter or whiter than they already are. I did have hopes it could take some dingy white shirts and bring them back to a whiter shade. Not even with Tide w/bleach on the Powerwash cycle did this happen. That said, it still seems to clean the close very well. On a side note, BestBuy's geek squad delivery and install did a great job. They where friendly, quick, and I had no issues with the install.
