This is such a great take on the Max Fleischer style Superman. The colors and cloth cape are very nice. Decent head sculpt to capture the animation style.

This is one of the VERY rare decent to actually attractive Superman head sculpts that McFarlane has produced in the entire time it has had the DC action figure license. As one of the later figures in the line, it also doesn't suffer from some of the problems early DCMV, but still has the same issues any McFarlane toys have. Recommended for the adult collector and Superman fan as a good approximation for a Fleischer Superman but this is not a strong or solid recommendation. The belt and boots should be better matched, among other issues.

This is one of the coolest action figures in my collection. Best Buy doesn’t have anything to do with its creation, but i can certainly credit the store for its pleasant staff and how easy it was for me to retrieve the item.

I have a lot of McFarlane figures, many of Superman, and this without a doubt is on of the best or maybe the best so far. the details, range of motion and possability are better than expected. Many Superman figures of this brand have a light disproportion, but this figure is similar to the comics, and compared to the others you can tell is way better. the cape is wired so that gives you a plus.

This, overall, is a really good figure! It is a fun representation of the 1941-43 Fleischer/Famous Studios animated Superman shorts that helped define the Man of Steel. The paint job on the figure is nicely done (with the exception of his wrists), and the articulation is just fine as well. In fact, I give Mcfarlane extra credit for the creative solution of giving Supes soft trunks (thus hiding his crotch articulation). One thing to note: This body has been recycled several times now with new heads added to refresh each design; however, it is no less effective. It has been used for the Silver Age Superman and Kingdom Come among others, but it works well. His fabric wired cape is a good choice here and adds dynamic posing options. Unfortunately I do have to knock off one star for two reasons. One, his wrist joints have been painted blue below the point where his sleeve stops onto his wrist for some reason (this happens on some versions of Superman they make, but not all — no consistency here). Secondly, he really should come with a flight stand in order to pose him effectively like some other figures as opposed to a simple flat peg stand. Come on, he’s Superman!! He is quite a nice figure though!

Great figure, highly articulated, just awesome!! If you are a Superman fan, you will love this figure and it will be a great addition to any Superman fans collection.

This figure hews as close as possible to the Fleischer version. I prefer the proportions to this figure compared to the animated version. The wired cape is also a plus.

I discovered the class Flesicher Superman shorts in my early twenties and thought they still looked great and modern. The animation was fluid and action was good even though from its time in the 1940's. I love this figure and the packaging and they knocked it out the park with the likeness to the cartoon character.

This Superman is based on the 40s cartoon done by mcfarlane toys the colors are on point , with a fabric cape , great articulation, movable joints comes with a stand, along with a Card with a small bio behind the card explaining details of the figure. It’s a great buy

A perfect representation of the Superman from the 1940’s cartoons shorts; even the “S” symbol is perfect. Fully articulated (including the cape), and also includes additional hands. A must for any comic book, DC, or Superman fan.

It's spot on as a representation of the classic cartoon. The squinty eyes and the S shield logo really looks the part.
