This card gives him access to online play, downloads, and in game purchases which makes his gaming experience much better. This is a great gift idea for the gamer in your house.

The good news is that membership cards are also available in 6-month and 12-month versions, with deeper discounts on the monthly rate. One of the other benefits of a Xbox Live Gold membership is that, in addition to online multiplayer access, your kids will get access to free games each month (up to $700 worth for a full year), making it a great investment.

I bought an Xbox year subscription because the Microsoft store stopped selling them so I don’t know how long it will be but third party sellers could run out eventually.
