You have to buy this to play online, which leads you a very streamlined experience, but also one which is not free! In the past, it used to be that game companies had free online, but not anymore, so make sure and figure this into the cost!

Being able to play online with others opens up another aspect of gaming. The discount offers are a plus. It was an easy decision to tune a Best Buy Gift Card into an Xbox Live Gold Membership.

We like choosing to pay for membership with the gift card. That way we don't get hit with reoccurring charges when the account is not being used.
