$60.00 is cheaper than $10-$15 a month that XBox wants you to pay. I do not play enough games to justify the extra cost of the monthly one. Overpriced for me. This takes care of what I need. Besides I like to live in and enjoy life, not live it all the time in a game.

Xbox live gold makes playing on my Xbox one S so much more fun. Can play online with friends and family.

Yes you need this card if you want to play against your friends while using xbox. the price for the yearly pass is cheaper than the 3 month that is also available. highly suggest looking for special sale prices during the hoilday months or joining the daily deals sent to your inbox through Best buy.
