Not obviously expecting a 50 mile range LOL but this radio definitely is an upgrade over a hand held version. Might be considered a costly upgrade, but as with everything else you pay for what you get.

The price is fair but not what I thought I was buying. I have always like shopping at Best Buy but this does not make me happy. I thought I was getting a deal and all this was the same thing everyone else has. It was a little misleading.
