It works fine. Even at a remote campground, where there was no GPS, it was able to get the emergency weather channel and a few other channels. Sound is not smooth stereo, but reasonable. Sort of what we used to get from transistor radios decades ago. It is smaller than I expected, which is good for camping. I used it as a flashlight, too. The NY Times wirecutter site recommended the larger version, the Midland ER 321.

This product is easy to use. Multiple ways of charging. Very light. Emergency essential.

This is the fourth one I bought and probably wont be the last. I gave it as a gift. I have had my first one for years and it just keeps working. I used it as a school crossing guard for 13 years.

The coolest thing I've bought! It is multifunctional for different reasons! One can be brought anywhere. It can be solar, battery, or USB charged! Will catch radio stations like a standard radio. This is worth your money and time, in the case that there is no electricity in the future and you can use this gadget for music and news.

Great for storms and for camping! it was awesome that you could charge or equipment, solar powered and battery powered, and hand crank and the weather radio and sound was super quality and the hand crank was awesome add on!

We were looking for a weather radio. A rep at Best Buy suggested this one. It was small and easy to use.

I like having a multi system little radio.. Gas both AM and The Weather Channel available. An excellent item on a camping trip, in the car, or just to have a good little portable radio at home.. I like the flashlight system too.

Very good reception, even without the antenna up. Simple to use. Would like a dedicated on/off button. Is is well made, but all surfaces are hard plastic, so it could use some softer surfaces/padding to absorb bumps. The handle works well with two fingers through it for winding.

Has AM, FM, Weather, Flashlight, ability to charge your phone and will alert you with a tone if there is a weather alert.

Pros: Gets good signal reception. Digital display very readable, especially with the customizable backlight. Small size and the grip is ideal for clipping onto bags with a carabiner. Severe weather alert is very loud. And very easy to turn off or on. Cons: Battery never keeps a charge for long. Solar and dynamo crank seem to be better than nothing but not a substitute for direct input via wall plug. Attempted to charge a light with this radio and it worked for about two hours after which it suddenly seems to have drained the light and restored its own internal battery. That would’ve been very inconvenient in an actual power outage.

Love it. Works great! It's small and portable so it doesn't take up much space. It holds a long lasting charge. Having the emergency light on it is an added bonus! Can't go wrong with this little beauty!!

Great weather radio, purchased it for my son so he could complete his emergency preparedness merit badge. I like the solar and manual recharging capabilities, flashlight and he’s able to recharge his phone as well.

Great sound, love that you can crank the radio as a power supply if the need arises. Bought it for my husband to use when he is camping.

I purchased this because we go camping a lot. It had really good reception and it's small enough to put in a backpack. I feel so much more secure with it so I can hear if a storm is coming.

This is the perfect radio for an emergency. My boyfriend got it for me as a gift and it couldn’t be a better one. We all need to have communication in this radio is perfect for that. You do not need electricity. It also charges cell phones in case of emergency.This belongs in everybody’s earthquake emergency kit. It’s not expensive and light weight. I feel safer having this in my home.

Purchased this for the weather radio feature, however, only one of the seven weather bands worked in my location, and only just barely. The radio is sturdy and well made, has a rechargeable lithium ion battery, a crank charger, and can be charged with your computer, too. Includes a built-in flashlight, with an SOS feature. Would highly recommend if your weather band reception is good.

The weather alert radio has all the features I want for an emergency. I had previously purchased a different brand on line, but wasn't able to read the features on it, so could not make it work. The hand crank is especially useful, and it makes everything else work. I have used it when our power was shut off last week. It allowed me to recharge my mobile phone, gave me light, and I listened to the radio news. I'm very pleased

Charges well the sun. Very convenient, lightweight and weather broadcasts are easily found. AM broadcasts of baseball games is also super! Great for camping and clamping.

This product is well-designed, small and light, and chargeable three ways. Especially wanted it for the solar-charging feature. I use it while gardening as well as having it stand by in an emergency.
