This Mohu Sail gets great reception. I got this after having a smaller (60 mile range) antenna. This one picks up more channels and reception is clear on all of them. Setup is simple and takes very little time. Its indoor/outdoor. I tried it outside, but reception was the same as indoor, so I am keeping it indoors (protected from the elements). Great purchase.

Performed as advertised. When pointed in the right direction, I received 35 stations from about 45 miles away. I’m well satisfied.

Bought this for my parents who are looking to move away from cable. Installed it in the attic, great HD picture to 3 tv’s! Easy installation, just run coax to your TVs antenna input and scan! It’s that easy! You will need a cable signal splitter to run to multiple TVs. All local/network channels received!

While I was a little hesitant to spend more than $100 for an indoor antenna, it’s clear the choice was well worth the price. I’ve never had this many channels with those flat, paper thin antennas you can place on a window. I live fairly close to several broadcast towers, I didn’t have much luck getting a reliable signal until purchase this antenna. I installed it in a crawl space in my attic onto a wall frame beam underneath the roof. I was amazed to get around four dozen channels and all the local ones that matter for sports and what not. Easy to install and setup. I’d highly recommend purchasing this antenna if you have the space for it. However, it doesn’t seem sturdy enough to install outdoors, but I wasn’t looking for that option even though this can supposedly weather it. Maybe someplace that isn’t like the northeast with our winters, I’d feel more comfortable placing it outdoors.

Bought antenna for my sister on her birthday. Mounting hardware-bolts, coax wire, accessories all included with antenna. Simple straightforward instructions. Once mounted outside house and wired inside to living room. TV scan of channels produced 77 channels. Previously sister could only receive 3 english speaking channels and 2 spanish speaking channels. Very happy with purchasse.

We live in a dead zone in Florida. About 60 miles south of Tampa and 60 miles north of Ft. Myers. Consequently, the cheap window antennae doesn't get the job done. 2 maybe 3 stations. this one gets 21 just hating in my window. My guess it would get even more if I felt like putting it up on the roof, but frankly, I get everything I need now. All the majors, some goofy and fun little stations I never heard of and pbs. If you don't live right in the city, save the frustration of buying and returning the cheap flat things and just spend the money and get this. It's a one time purchase, and you can kiss cable goodbye! As an added note, I also bought the Amazon Fire re cast, and these 2 work great together. I can record, pause, rewind what ever I am watching on my antennae just like cable. I can even set entire series to record in advance and never worry about missing them again! You just need this antennae, fire re cast and a fire stick.

I must say I’m impressed. I set this thing up. (Very quick and easy) programmed tv and instantly had 13 local channels. BUT! Was a little fuzzing on the pic. So I took the time and moved it around a few times before the final mounting. Ended up in my garage. And WOW!! 55 local channels all crystal clear! I was not exspecting that at all. For the simple fact I live in the sticks and in between some rolling mountains. I would have been happy with the 13 channels I first got, but 55 very nice. (ABC-NBC-FOX and the list goes) Yes it cost $120 something But! How much does cable/dish cost per month? Huh... money saved!

We have tried 4 antennas. This one by far worked the best once we found its happy place in our living space. We get numerous channels and all three local channels. The only time we have a problem with a program interference is when we turn on the overhead lights, or bad weather.

Bought this to save money by being able to pull in local channels, as my service for satellite increased to almost 200 dollars a month. I decided that I could live without it and create my own streaming set-up. Picture is awesome. We have been able to link all 4 TVs in our house to it. If you are in Los Angles county area, this works great. I have had a few other indoor antennas and window antennas that could not pull in very many of the local channels. Installed on roof same location where my DirectTv previously resided.

The Mohu antenna I purchased was a decent price. Mounting is pretty easy and the antenna brings in a good number of channels. It would bring in better reception if mounted as high on a roof as possible. Does not work well in attics and in particular those with foil decked roofs.

After struggling with getting horrible cut-out pictures, now I have superb reception - crystal clear! Easy to set up- just use the mounting bracket in the box (set up in the strongest signal direction) (check strongest signal with a free app at http://www.antennasdirect.com/blog/antenna-point-app-everyone/ ) - the antenna did not even need the signal booster that came with the box. If you use a signal splitter however, make sure the booster is used before the splitter otherwise TV damage can occur.

I finally installed this Antenna in my Attic. I had to run power from my light and also add a switch to turn attic light on and off. This was something I had planned to do so buying this antenna finally made me do it. The actual antenna installation was a breeze after I installed the light switch and electrical outlet. I connected the antenna to the former cable splitter which fed three TVs. The receptions was fantastic. I now get over 70 channels on my TVs and some of the channels are better than what were on cable.

I haven't yet been able to put the antenna in my attic, as I'd planned, because it's consistently been 100 or more degrees up there, but I have it in the highest point of my second floor, or about 18 feet over ground level. The terrain near my house and most of the terrain between my house and local TV broadcast towers is fairly flat or slowly rolling -- I'd call it "central Midwest mildly glaciated." Columbus has two buildings over 500 feet tall and another 10 or 12 greater than 350 feet, and dozens, if not 100 or so, taller than 150 feet. There are several big structures like Ohio Stadium (seating for 110,000) between me and some of the towers. In central Ohio, we have about 40 subchannels broadcasting off about 12 primary channels. It took me two days to find the optimum place to get the majority of these channels, but the antenna will receive about 46 of the 52 stations that are offered, and it pulls in a weak signal on one main channel that has five subs on a channel I'd describe as "usually, but not always-watchable." One channel -- the PBS affiliate and its four subchannels broadcasting from about 20 miles away -- is often (I'm estimating half the time) usually not received at all. It's normally a normal-to-high-powered UHF station, so there may be some technical problem to explain why it's not being received, and not just by me, but by several friends who live between me and their tower. In general, the antenna was a little pricey for the improvements I've seen in channel reception. I may have a better idea of its abilities after I move it to the attic, but realistically, that move isn't going to greatly increase the height or minimize the distance or the obstructions that could detract from the reception I'm getting. In my case, the difference between this antenna (at about $99) and a more-affordable antenna (at $29 or so) is this: I can now receive about 1/3 of the channels available in my area that I wasn't receiving with a $29 antenna. That is, I was formerly unable to receive about 1/3 of the channels (or roughly 15-20 channels of 52) that broadcast in my area, but now, I'm getting a signal on most of those 15-20, which aren't available with a cheaper antenna. In addition, another 15-20% of the 52 available local channels have improved their signal from "unwatchable or unavailable half the time" to "usually watchable, and with a good picture." Some of the offerings I can now receive with my new antenna are a couple of old movie channels, in addition to GRIT TV, and another pretty good network that shows reruns of Law and Order franchises, including SVU, and a couple of similar stations. Also "new-to-me" are two more home shopping networks, which I care nothing about. Unfortunately, I haven't yet been able to check out one more reason I bought the antenna -- I plan to split the signal and, using a signal amplifier, run a second cable to the main TV in my second floor family room. I'm sure the usual $19 or $29 antennas that I often use wouldn't be strong enough to provide an adequate signal to TVs on two different floors. So in general, don't expect to pick up channels broadcasting from 100 miles away, but stations broadcasting from 50-60 miles away is a good possibility, if you can find some higher-than-normal ground to fix the antenna to.
