I was looking for a portable powerbank that I could use to charge a laptop, and I stumbled upon the Mophie Powerstation Ultra at Best Buy. This product generally retails for $99.99, but it was on sale for $40.99. Most portable powerbanks only deliver something like 10W - 20W, which is enough to charge any mobile phone, but is unable to charge a laptop battery. The Powerstation Ultra actually delivers up to 140W from one of the ports and up to 100W from each other other two ports, which far exceeds the 65W necessary to charge my MSI Prestige laptop. The 140W port has its own dedicated power rail to consistently deliver up to 140W. The other two ports share a 130W power rail that dynamically splits the power delivery based on what each device asks for via USB-C PD negotiation, but each alone will deliver 100W. I was able to charge my laptop from ~10% to 100% in about 1.75H with the lid closed. It's not superfast compared to an actual power brick plugged into an outlet, but it gets the job done so you don't have to worry if you're not near an outlet for an extended period of time. The device is quite heavy. The specs say 1.38 lb, and that feels about right. Basically, you're going to notice the weight when you put this in your bag or purse. It feels very sturdy, and at 25,000 mAh, it falls just under the TSA limit of 27,000 mAh, so you shouldn't have any problems taking this on a plane. One complaint that I have so far is the fact that the battery indicator lights appear to make zero sense. On a full charge, after about 30 minutes charging my laptop, the indicator only showed 2 solid lights out of 4, with a 3rd blinking, implying that it had already delivered at least 25% of its capacity. When I checked again after about an hour, it showed 3 solid lights with the 4th light blinking, indicating that it somehow magically refilled its capacity while discharging. The other complaint is the product registration process. Mophie uses Zagg to handle their warranties. I visited the Zagg website to register the product, and it keeps telling me that the serial number is not valid. I have tried multiple browsers, desktop and mobile, and the number has no letters or spaces, so it's not a formatting issue. It's after hours, so I can't use their chat feature, and it took me forever to find an email address. After this experience, I will probably try to avoid any products that use Zagg for warranty claims, based on this experience and the countless negative reviews I have found online concerning their customer support. At $40, it was a no-brainer, but if the price goes back up to $99, I would look around for another option with better warranty support and customer service.

Refuses to charge from a simple USB-C supply. Will charge very slowly from some low-powered chargers, sometimes. Opaque user interface. Website mum about how to use this hideously expensive, faulty design. Run Away!

This was to heavy. Was afraid I was going to drop and break. Took back and traded for a UGREEN 200W. Happy now!
