    Bluetooth works good

The bluetooth functions works as advertised. However; this is the second one that I've purchased and this one (purchased Jan 28, 2015), the ear peice hook broke on Feb 24th 2015. The quality of the hooks are poor and cannot be purchased seperately. I notified the manufacturer on the 24th (Motorola 1-800-331-6456) spoke with someone named Hector, he gave me Ref #150225003812. When he asked me the model of my earpeice and I stated M165, he informed me that they didn't have no such model number. So I had to get a magnifying glass and read a mini label placed above the UPC Code. Hector stated that he would be sending me an email to send a copy of my receipt to him and then he would send me an replacement ear hook. During our conversation he lacked customer service skills. Today is Feb 28th, still no email. However; there are other ear hook/inserts included but they are too large for my ears.

I've been through at least a dozen different BT headsets since the first ones were available and I had BT on my phone. Nine of those have been Motorola. I have tried most all of them, but the last few were the higher-end versions with dual mics and background noise suppression. My last favorites were the H12, H780, and the CommandOne. This new "Boom" is great. It's TINY, LOUD, has great battery life, and will handle two phones at once. It's also very easy to use, especially with the NFC pairing. There are only a couple drawbacks worth mentioning. The first is that once the battery says "One hour remaining," that hour seems to go quickly because the headset will tell you "low battery" at just under the half-hour mark. I guess it's not so bad, since it does give you a clear indication that you need to charge it. The other thing that bothered me at first was that the ear hook is only designed to be used with the earpiece that just sits on top of your ear. The earpiece that sits into your ear (for best fit) won't work with the ear hook. It seems like it would fall out easily. I found that the earpiece that sits in your ear is best for me, and it actually stays put unless I bump it enough to dislodge it.

This is my second Boom -- lost original the other day removing a lanyard from around my neck -- I liked this model when I had a Casio phone that didn't pair well -- It would not hang up when the button was pushed -- with my Motorola 4g everything works perfect -- the volume is more than ample -- it fits well against my face -- easy to forget it's on my ear -- using google maps with this is much less confusing than having a separate in car gps which competes with the radio and passengers -- never had a complaint from anyone that they couldn't hear me well -- I talk to 20 people a day that use a wide variety of phones -- I couldn't get to a Best Buy fast enough to get my lost one replaced -- battery always lasts a full day with heavy use -- range can sometimes extend to the 2nd floor of my office -- minimum of 30' before getting static -- reconnects automatically if I wander too far and I come back into range -- always get voice prompt disconnecting and reconnecting -- Under $50.00 -- works better than others I talk to -- nuff said

Great for office setting or at home

Was given one of these as a gift. Perfect Bluetooth for use at home or in an office setting, great sound, long battery life, quick recharge, decent price. Not so much if you're outside or constantly active. The earpiece is somewhat uncomfortable after a couple of hours of wear. I had one of these for less than three months when the boom switch snapped off. Motorola replaced it with no problem, but after only one month, the boom snapped off of the replacement as well. Motorola replaced that one too, but it's somewhat of a hassle having to keep making a warranty claim and paying to send them back. My next Bluetooth will be a one piece with no boom to break off. Kudos to Motorola however for standing behind their product and replacing it without question.

unit connects quickly, is relatively simple to use and has great range. it also is light enough you hardly notice you are wearing it. some of the people I call tell me I sound like I am in a tunnel. It also does not cancel outside sounds very well. also the ear hook is a little awkward to put on and breaks relatively easily and should come with many extra hooks. the other silicon fastening device works ok but seems to dampen the sound to some degree

Made better than the previous model

Loved my previous Motorola headset, but it wasn't made well and after a year or so wouldn't open and close properly. Bought this one as a replacement. It's one of the few left that doesn't need to go in your ear. It rests on top of the ear and I prefer this. The sound is good and the charge lasts quite a while. I do get complaints at times that the person on the other end can't hear me well, but I think that's my carrier's (Verizon) problem. I can hear the other person perfectly. The "flip" part of this new headset works perfectly and is made much better than the previous models. I don't think it will break down like the last one. There is one small issue, Motorola used to give you different sized pieces that fit over the ear. They still do, but they're all too large for me. Luckily, I had saved the one from my original headset. If I lose it, it will be a big problem. I wish they would put the small size back in the set.

I was a bit hesitant at first after reading reviews stating that it was cheaply made and falls apart. I've been using the headset daily for about a month now as a ridesharing partner, for about 8 hours a day, being careful when I turn it on by unfolding the arm and placing it on my ear. I have had absolutely no problems whatsoever. The battery life is excellent. The quality of the sound is excellent, both transmitting and receiving, and the ease of use is wonderful. I would highly recommend this product.

Read the reviews. Does what it's supposed to do. I use it when I'm not in my car. Small, light and comfortable over the ear. I forget it's there sometimes. I would buy another if need be. One of the better inexpensive Bluetooth's I've had. Don't need fancy and expensive to talk on the phone around the house or store. Sound is good with no echo on either end. My wife said the same thing.

I'm not "tech-savvy" but this item was highly recommended by the sales rep in store, and so I did a bit of research. For the price, this product has a great battery life, very clear calls, and easy to use. I can connect to my personal and my work cell, as well as play my music from my phone to the headset through Bluetooth, which I found out accidentally. I would recommend this to anyone looking for something small and easy on the go.

I've had a number of Bluetooth headsets over the years and I can honestly say this is the one that I'm most satisfied with. The Bluetooth connection has an amazing range. I leave my phone upstairs and I can walk all over the main floor of the house with no issue. The sound quality is great - top volume is REALLY. LOUD. No one I've been speaking with has ever indicated they had trouble hearing me - amazing mic for such a tiny unit. Battery life says 6 hours, but I've had a couple 7-8 hour marathon call days and it held out for me. I like it because it's small and unobtrusive. As with any over-the-ear hook it does get a little painful behind my ear if I leave it on all day long, so I simply take it off when I don't think I'll need it. Putting it back on only takes a second anyway. The hook is reversible, so it can be used on either ear. Highly recommend it.

This product works wonderful. No static or problems during calls. Very clear calls. No dropped calls. It is rechargable and lasts 6 or more hours. I like how it tells me how many hours of talk time i have when i turn it on. It does work throughout my whole house without having the phone with me. It has been a wonderful product for me.

I am currently on my 4th Motorola BOOM Bluetooth headset, and I am happy as always with its functionality. People calling me claim the sound is crystal clear, as are their voices when they tell me. The unit has a very good range. I can get out of my car and go into the convenience store whilst carrying on a conversation. Finally, it can be borderline miraculous. Once I misplaced one for a week and already bought a new replacement. When emptying my dryer after a load of laundry, I found the miscreant! I almost tossed it in the trash, but then I just had to know. Yup. Turned it on and worked like a charm even after being washed and dried with the laundry! It does an awesome job with a dictation program as well. Once I did not know it was recording when I was talking to myself about some topic or another, trying to think my way through a problem. When I noticed the iPhone was "typing," I was amazed at how accurate was the program, which means the sound had to be pretty darn good! Two drawbacks: (1) Be careful just tossing it into your key pocket and walking around. There's a reason this is my 4th. The little flip-out mic piece that turns the unit on is not made to withstand assaults! (2) It is small! I've lost a couple, only to find them long after I bought replacements! On the other hand, the "small" has obvious benefits. It is super-light in the ear. You have the option of hanging it over the lobe or using a little insertable earbud. I never thought I'd like the latter, but it works great and I often forget the earpiece is in there!

lots of features, and it tells you about them all the time LOL, the headset is clear unless connected in the middle of a call and it has good range. it will tell you when it connects and/or disconnects and it will give you remaining talk time on the headset how many devices it is connected to, or not connected to, in fact, it is quite chatty for a piece of technology :P you can actually connect this device to more than one thing at a time, so, I'm waiting to try it out with the phone and the PS3 together.

This is my second Motorola Boom. I had the first one for quite a while until I lost it. I loved it so much that I replaced it with another one. It is easy to use, fits in your ear (has different ear pieces) easily, and no one ever complains that it sounds funny or that they can't hear me. I love it.

It's volume is clear. I love that I can hear my music thru the device as well. I will buy again if need be and recommend this device. Its light weight and comes with many different ear attachments. My husband has the old Motorola bluetooth and loves that one too. The Boom is just a smaller version.
