this watch ended up being way better than i could have hoped for. I'm someone who has always worn a watch anyways, so this wasn't that difficult of a transition for me. I dont like pulling my phone out everytime i want to tell the time or to check a notification that ended up not being important anyways. Having this watch was the perfect solution for me to keep doing whatever i was doing without stopping too much. at first i was worried about the battery life that everybody was complaining about. However since i've gotten the watch, they've done several updates to the firmware and the battery now lasts a full day for me. Usually putting it on my wrist from 8am and putting it back on it's charger around 2-3am with about 60% battery left. Of course the first 2 days i got it, i was playing with this watch nonstop and the firmware hadn't updated yet, so after a couple of hours my battery drained about 30%. no battery issues now anymore. The Watch itself feels great on the wrist. it's incredibly comfortable and light but feels incredibly high quality. i wouldn't say i have thin wrists, but i dont have tree trunks either, and it looks natural to wear compared to other smart watches out there. Don't expect to use this watch as a phone replacement, that wasn't the point of me wanting a smart watch to begin with. However, i work a lot with my hands and they never seem to be free when i get a notification on my phone, having something on your watch to quickly glance at is such a life saver, especially when your phone (samsung galaxy s5 ) is tucked away somewhere and you need two hands to get it out and open the case and do the security code and...the watch is much easier. The voice recognition is a little off at times, but overall, for my lifestyle, i'd say that this watch has made my life slightly easier.

Got my watch yesterday and I simply could not be more happy with it. I had a few problems along the way, but certainly nothing that can't be worked out. First let me start with some tips! Tip one - When you get it, no matter how much you want to get it up and running don't! Let it charge. It charges pretty fast so it won't take long. The reason is two fold - If it has any juice in it at all out of the box it won't be much and more than likely you'll be getting an update. The update was slow. Very slow so you won't be able to use right away. I'm guessing lots of people updating. Mine, for some reason, was not able to connect using WiFi so I had to use my carrier's cell network to do everything. I'll tackle WiFi tonight, but it might be an issue, The watch looks beautiful. I've already downloaded so many watch faces and a ton of apps! The notifications are awesome and the "Okay Google" feature for sending emails and text messages is super cool. Still learning a lot about it but I'm loving it! I've been using the crud out of it and showing everyone how it works and I'm still at half batter 5 hours later. Once I get it set and get into a normal routine I'm not going to have any battery issues. It's a must have device for Android.

Introduction: The Smartwatch market is about to get very interesting 2015. With the impending release of the Apple Watch, and CES kicking off within days of this review, the Smartwatch market will see many companies trying their hand at good Smartwatch design. The Moto 360 managed to not only be one of the first Smartwatches available, but also the best looking, by a long shot. Without further ado here are the points that stood out. Build: Currently, most Smartwatch manufacturers are sticking with plastic as the go-to material. Motorola on the other hand has decided to go with the ideal material, metal. The body of the Moto 360 is absolutely beautiful; polished aluminum, and glass. It doesn't get much better than that. In addition to the high end materials directly on the watch, Motorola also included a very comfy and high end Horween leather strap. This altogether gives the Moto 360 a premium look and feel. Nothing on the market can match it at this point. Display: The display leaves much to be desired. It is a good starting point, but pixels are easily discernible. Consumers are accustomed to today's Retina HD and Quad HD displays, so seeing the Moto 360's display for the first time can be a bit jarring to pixel sensitive eyes. If pixel count is an after-thought for you, then ignore the criticisms.  Software: The Moto 360 in it's current state features a pretty stable Android Wear 5.0 which also includes the almost perfect Google Now, custom watch faces, apps, Google Fit, Motorola's fitness software, and notifications. It is meant to be more in sync with Android 5.0 Lollipop, and at the same time give the user more options when customizing the look and feel.  Battery Life:  The Moto 360 has never been a champion of battery life. The luxury of having a beautiful time piece around the wrist comes at the cost of battery life. Even with the display off a majority of the day, you would be lucky to get more than a day and a half of use per charge. This may be ok for some, and a deal breaker for others, but it depends on your expectations. Comparably, the Pebble Smartwatch is advertised to last five to seven days on one charge which is great.  Extras:  In the box, the Moto 360 includes a nifty inductive charging base station, power adapter, and some literature. Inductive charging makes charging the Moto 360 a cinch! You simply lay the watch in the cradle and it begins to charge (a nice aside, while charging, the watch can double as a night stand clock).  The Moto 360, and it's companion app from Motorola include a suite of fitness applications to take advantage of the included pedometer and heart rate monitor. The software is designed to analyze your movements and heart rate periodically to give you a overview of your general activity. The software is relatively easy to use, and helpful.  Conclusion:  The Moto 360 is easily the most beautiful Smartwatch available today, by a long shot. Considering most Smartwatches today run some variant of Android Wear, the only decision left to the consumer is what form factor they prefer. Considering this is the only Smartwatch suitable for a professional environment, this will probably be the go-to for most prospective Smartwatch shoppers. The design, material choice, price, and software make the Moto 360 a no brainer when considering the competition. But for the general population, Smartwatches remain a gadget for only the truest of tech enthusiasts. 

The watch itself is too thick snd the navigation is unintuitive. I'm hoping for UI improvements with the next version of the OS

I got this when it first came out. Review said it will last all day under normal use. Worse thing on a smart watch, battery life. I had it for a month and the battery drained every single day from 7 am and dies around 1pm. I barely used the darn thing. Until they fix batteries on all smart watches, I stay with Fitbit Charge 2 which still last me almost 5 days.

This watch was worth the wait. I have it paired with an HTC one max. At the end of my day, both devices were at 48% remaining. I haven't tweaked any settings on the watch. I have two email accounts, an active tapatalk account, hangouts, texts, etc all coming to this thing. Grey strap looks nice too.

better watches are out there so I would get those instead of thios

There needs to be diversity in development. The watch face is definitely made for a man's wrist. Women wear watches, too! I knew it would be too big, but I wanted to play with the technology (rather than wait until it dawns on the hardware developers that there are women interested in tech and willing to spend money). My son will get this once I am finished playing with it. It can only be paired to one device, which is a bummer. I wanted to be able to pair it with my Nexus 5 and my Nexus 7. I found a post with instructions on how to get the watch to be able to switch between devices, but I haven't tried it yet. Setting it up with my Nexus 5 was incredibly easy. It just worked. Charging it is simple, and I haven't noticed a problem with the battery (but I haven't had it that long). The heart rate monitor has worked just fine. It tracks my steps more accurately than my fitbit does (I knew that my fitbit was overestimating my steps). It is nice to be able to control my phone with the watch. And the e-mail notifications are really convenient. The screen is nice, though the blacked out section on the bottom part of the watch is a little distracting. But again, I knew that it was there when I ordered it. So there were no surprises. Overall, I am happy with the functionality of the product. I just wish it were smaller. But that doesn't affect the number of stars I am giving to the product…I knew what it was when I ordered it. And it is a really neat gadget. For people who want a more refined product, you might want to wait until the next iteration. I am glad that I purchased it, and will be sad when I pass it along to my son. But he will only get it when I find something better!

I purchased the Gray moto 360 the first day of release (i.e. - within the first 15 minutes and before it sold out.) I have been very pleased with the watch so far. I do not have a defective one - poor battery life, stuck pixels, etc. Mine functions as described. The battery life has been adequate for a full day use for me (7am to 11pm) almost without exception. Of course, if I navigate with it for several hours and interact with it most of the day, it would probably be only 11 hours or so. My typical usage includes vibrating notification, visual notifications, updated temperatures through 1weather, and a few google voice responses or searches throughout the day. Compared to the other android watches out there, this is the only one that I feel comfortable wearing with clients. It's a very attractive and surprisingly light and comfortable watch. The facer app allows me to apply several luxury watch faces, like Panerai Luminor, Rolex, etc. Though it isn't perfect, I'm highly satisfied and will enjoy this until the next generation of smart watch is ready. For today, there is no better option for me.

I absolutely love this watch, I have never spent a day without it! On the latest update the watch will last 16-18 hours a day with medium/heavy usage. If you use an always on app like Google Maps navigation it obviously will use more battery but that's a rarity for me. Normal texting, fitness tracking, and checking the weather throughout the day and I never have any issues, it's a great watch and to think it was released before the extremely overpriced apple watch was even announced!!!

I almost returned it after a few hours. Getting familiar with Android Wear was a problem. Different apps handle things differently. Some load most of the app on the phone, other just connect automatically. You should probably download an app to create a menu for your downloaded apps since getting to it through Wear is tedious. Battery life is fine (I don't use ambient mode)....it is actually better than the battery life on my phone, but it does require charging nightly. Do yourself a favor and buy an auxiliary charger for office or in case you lose the original. It will take a little adjustment to get used to but after a few hours you should have the hang of it. The hardest issue was making sure it was connected to the phone. Be sure to download the Android Wear app and click on the watch icon at the top. It will tell you whether it is connected to the phone. If it isn't, tap the watch icon and it should connect.

OK, so I have seen a lot of reviews on this watch claiming that the battery life is terrible. From my experience this is true/false depending on who you are. The watch should not be set to always on for the screen. I think it looks amazing with the screen off set to turn on when raised to your eye level. The watch simply put is AWESOME. I love this watch so much and have all the intentions of keeping it. The wireless charging is great and also fast! I was able to charge the watch at a rate of about 1% per minute. I took it off the charger the first night at 10 PM and it died the next night at 7 PM and that was with A LOT of playing with it and notifications coming in about 5-8 per hour sometimes more. The vibration was always on for notifications and the watch screen was set to automatic brightness. So yeah, the watch could have a better battery but ya know what? This is one of those situations where the watch's looks and functionality WAYYY outweigh the battery issue some people are complaining about. If you are on the fence about this watch and can get your hands on one, just try it out. Everyone has different preferences and experiences but don't let the negativity put you off about the Moto 360. This watch is sick!

Alright, this is my Updated Review after 2 weeks of using Moto 360. Do note that Moto 360 just received a New Firmware Update yesterday (9/24/2014): http://www.gottabemobile.com/2014/09/25/moto-360-update-brings-connection-and-battery-improvements/ What does this mean? - Connection drops don't happen anymore! It's been 2 days for me and I don't have a single connection drop at all. I used to get 2-4 drops each day prior to this update. - Battery life is significantly improved! I used to get between 12-16 hours before the update, but now I can easily get a full day (24 hours)! Do note that the battery drains faster for the first 5-10% (from 100% to 95 or 90%). I'm not sure why but this happens on my Galaxy S4 and S3 phones as well. As a side note, I turn off Ambient Mode and set the Brightness to Auto. And yes, the WOW factor of this watch is just one of the biggest plus points. People praise the coolness and sleekness of this watch, what it can do, etc. And there are more and more useful apps that Android Wear has. I keep checking for new apps once every few days so I can tell you what apps that can go well with Moto 360. These are just some Wear-specific apps that I have installed: http://goo.gl/bOJCJa. There are other apps that are not Wear-specific i.e. these apps can work both on your phone and Moto 360 e.g. Evernote, GroupMe, WhatsApp, and many more. Some of these apps work perfectly, some are not fully optimized yet for round Android Smartwatches (like Moto 360) but the developers have promised to work hard to make it fully compatible with Moto 360. I know Android Wear is new, v.1 but trust me, the apps are getting better and better each day and I know my decision to buy Moto 360 was right. I initially gave myself and Moto 360 two weeks to see if we "could get along well" with each other as I could always return it within 14 days. Now, I am not looking back and am completely happy with this. My only complain is the price. I personally feel $250 is still a steep price. $150 would be just perfect. A lot of my friends do think $250 is high too.

I love almost everything about it; the round design, battery life is fine, plenty smooth but I'm already on my 2nd one. I had to return the watch because some random cracks formed on the back of the watch with normal wear. A few others on the internet have mentioned this problem, also. Motorola customer service was a nightmare so I'm glad I got the Geek Squad protection. I'll chalk it up to first run issues, but if this happens again, I'll be waiting for the LG G Pro to come out.

First of all I have been waiting for this Moto 360 ever since it was announced. I am a gadget-head who loves technology. That said, I did see a lot of mixed reviews. Not sure why either... especially about the bad battery...I am a heavy user and I went through the whole day. Took off charger at 8:15am and used heavily all day...emails, texts, weather, heart rate, google cards, downloaded apps, played around trying different watch faces. By 8:15pm I still had 46% battery. I LOVE thing watch. I did swap out the leather band for the pebble steel band which fits perfectly and looks really classy. I would HIGHLY recommend for any gadget lover.

I have had the moto 360 for 3 days, before the moto 360 i had the lg g watch since the launch of android wear. this is the device for android wear. Best looking smartwatch out right now. the battery has got me through the day , thats with heavy use. your brightness settings will the number one factor that decides your battery results. Great device hands down

Setup took 24 hrs. One month later it's 100% dead.

I bought moto 360 purely based on looks. I love how it looks when it first came out. 3 months after I purchased the watch, I still enjoy wearing it on my wrist. I received many compliments from my friends and colleagues. It does have plenty of downside since it's the 1st gen of android wear but I can live with it. The main one is battery life, I prefer wearable have 7days (1 week) span of in between charge like most fitness wearable out there. For now 1-2 days isn't so bad for Moto 360, most people don't wear it to sleep anyways.

The watch is great, Would recommend to anyone. The watch has great battery, Idk what all these people are talking about, I used it alot the first day and yea it lasted around 16 hours, Used it like a watch the second day, getting notifications and checking incoming info, and at the end of the night, it had over 41% charge when I placed it on the charger. If you use it alot your first few days, cause you're playing around with it, of-course it wont last more then 20 hours. If you use it like you use your current watch it will last 4 days, moderate use, a day and a half. Just saying. Good luck on finding one to buy guys!

I was very excited to get my hands on this product and was looking forward to it for months. I used it for about a week and then ended up returning the device. Nothing against the watch, it had amazing looks and looked very classy. For me, it was the software that came up very short. I just did not see the need for a $250 watch to let me know how long it will take to get home from work or to show me how many steps I have taken. I understand it is only suppose to be an extension of your phone but it was just too bare bones for my liking. The bluetooth connection also ate at my battery life on my Note 3, after I returned it the other day my battery is back to normal. The terrible battery life rumors are just false. I used it for a solid week and never got "scared" of it dying on me. Unless you get constant notifications the watch will last you easily throughout the day, but you will for sure want to charge it at night. But when you do, charging the device is a breeze and extremely easy since it is wireless, just put the watch on the stand and boom it charges, and fast. I found it to charge almost 1% every minute or two. So if you are a heavy user just bring the small charger with you and you are good to go. The screen looked crisp for a watch and I can't get over the design. Motorola knocked it out of the park. But for me it just was not worth the money in the long run. Android Wear has a very long way to go and until then I recommend holding off on a smart watch. But if you really like the way it looks and want text messages on your wrist...go for it, you may or may not be disappointed.
