Customers are saying

Customers highly value the MAG321UPXQDOLED monitor's display quality and high refresh rate, with many praising the impressive picture quality and smooth 240Hz performance at 4K resolution. The competitive price point is also frequently cited as a significant advantage. However, a recurring concern among customers is the lack of firmware updates, which is considered a significant drawback for a monitor at this price.

    Great moniter

This moniter is crispy with its glossy coating and fast response times. Perfect for console gaming. I upgraded from a 1440p moniter and wanted to see if it was a huge jump in quality. And despite what ive heard from almost everywhere, its way better. yeah technically the resolution is a small bump but the big jump in pixel density is what makes it really shine. like i said crispy. Also i want to add, some of these reviews states this moniter can't do firmware updates. thats not true https://us.msi.com/Monitor/MAG-321UPX-QD-OLED/support#firmware this is where the firmware can be found.

Came from a 1440p display. I first had the aw3225qf but will be returning it since receiving this monitor. Apart from the firmware updates being the only negative this thing checks all the boxes.

I enjoy this monitor more than I originally thought. 32 inches really is a good size to do content creation work on and the color accuracy of this monitor is amazing for video editing. I love its sleek understated look, because I really do hate monitors that scream gaming. It has excellent brightness and perfect viewing angles since it is oled. I also really enjoy that it is not matte so it doesn’t affect the content being displayed or cause any sort of image degradation. The stand has great adjustability and really is sleek being all black without lights and large branding. You cannot go wrong with this monitor as it is the cheapest of the new 4k qd-oled monitors.

Best value QD-OLED with some caveats

This is the best value 4K QD-OLED monitor there is! If the firmware was able to be updated like the slightly more expensive MPG321URX model then it would be perfect. The minor issues that the MAG model currently has that would easily be resolved with a firmware update are that the color profiles are not separate between SDR and HDR, and the monitor powers off after performing a panel refresh rather than returning to standby mode. Other than those two minor issues, this monitor offers the superb performance that is on par with more expensive QD-OLED offerings without breaking the bank.

    Simply Stunning Picture Quality

Absolutely phenomenal image quality. Having had a high end IPS monitor the last couple of years, I'm still shocked at how much of an improvement a QD-OLED panel is compared to that, namely in color reproduction and those inky blacks. HDR games look incredible at "Peak 1000" setting, though "HDR400" gives you more consistent brightness. The glossy coating on the panel also helps keep blacks dark if you can properly manage light sources behind you. If you have a GPU that can support it, 4K@240Hz is unbelievable with its motion clarity. It really feels like a major step up from my old 144Hz panel. Definitely an endgame monitor here!

MSI monitor came from factory with top left corner warped bend. I called customer service overseas the day i opened it when my PC came in and asked for a store manager in Concord NH to call me as the closest store is an hour away. Nobody called. Worst customer service ever.

I am aware of the no firmware updates. Monitor is really nice so far looks good, no problems as far as i can tell. Ya, the firmware decision by MSI is dumb but we have heard that before and it turned out to be a lie anyway, talking to you AW3423DW. I do believe that MSI, if they wanted to, could easily push updates out if push back is great enough but thats why I buy from bestbuy. If the firmware turnsout to be a massive issue geeksquad is the best overall investment. Pretty sure MSI wont care if I or another consumer complains but if bestbuy complains because there are so many returns/warranty claims/instore RMA’s and what not then tou will see things change. That all said the monitor is pretty great and doesnt have all the useless nonsense like RGB or the KVM switch that woupdnt auto switch via display input anyway so who cares

Incredible! Doesn't need firmware out of box!

I would love to have the MPG model but more for the cosmetic aluminum chin and the AI features, and the firmware is a bonus, of course, but to be honest, this monitor doesnt need a firmware update. It works percect out of the box like 99% of monitors should. It's bright, its rich, its colorful and looks absolutely stunning. Im coming from an ultrawide oled, and this is replacing it. Im so happy qith my purchase. The DSC issue is fornsure a problem with DP1.4, but i used the extra tv plugged in trick i leaked from others with the alienware 32-inch model to get around it. You can set your custom resolutions on the tv secondary and it will save and you can select those resolutions on the msi and disconnect the tv. They save and you dont have to do this again. I was able to set up a 3840x1600 ultrawide resolutions as well as the custom 27inch and 24 inch that the asus oled feature has giving me the aspect control mode for a 1300 monitor but at $850. This thing is just incredible!

This screen and OLED panel is undoubtedly the best I have seen in awhile, however I will say the no firmware updates are a little upsetting. Havent had an issue with the monitor yet. 240Hz and 4K are the best of the best, I would definitely recommend this monitor IF you can get it on a sale. I would recommend paying the $50 extra to get firmware updates.

I purchased the PG32UCDM originally, but was able to pick this one up for $500 less after tax. After using both monitors, I returned the PG32UCDM. This monitor for the price is a fantastic deal, and does 90% of what the competition does for a fraction of the price. Giving 4 stars because no firmware updates is a joke for a company to market at this price, but oh well. Grab the warranty to give yourself peace of mind in case issues were to occur in the future.

Phenomenal monitor. I have a 32" 4k ips next to it and crushes it in every way. I own multiple oled monitors and tvs and have never had a problem with burn in. Also comes at a great price compared to other similar monitors. I can only think of 2 negatives. one is that you have to manually switch the color space settings every time you switch between hdr and sdr. the other is that this model is not capable of firmware updates, so theres no chance of the previous issue being fixed. not the biggest deal in the world, but can be annoying which is why it loses one star.

As you probably know, this monitor is $50 less than the MPG321URX and lacks a USB port. While I'm not too concerned about software updates, since the base firmware is pretty good, I wish there was a USB port so that I could use software to control the brightness, rather than the onerous OSD. Otherwise, beautiful panel, and the cheapest version of it on sale (if you can snag the extremely limited stock within a couple seconds of the infrequent drops). Get the MPG321URX if that is available at the time of your purchasing.

This is the best monitor I’ve ever owned! A lot of people bad talk this monitor since it doesn’t get firmware updates, but I have never updated a monitor’s firmware once in my life, and there are no major issues I’d want to fix. My previous monitor was a Sony inzone M9, which was a 4k hdr monitor with almost 100 local dimming zones, and this monitor is superior in every way. This monitor does everything I need it to and that is all I can ask, plus it’s hundreds of dollars cheaper than other monitors with the exact same panel

Ok, so yes. No firmware update option on this particular model. But I can't recall when (If ever) I updated firmware on all monitors I ever owned. This is being made a bigger deal than I should be. Apart from that, this monitor is a HUGE upgrade over my IPS 4k monitor. Wow. Colors are richer, blacks are deeper. Feel so smooth. HDR looks great vs my other MSI ips 4k I have. The stand is sturdy. Glad MSI uses these smaller square bases. Takes less table space as opposed to the legs sticking out like Asus uses. PS: I have a feeling MSI is holding off the MPG model and will raise the price when they bring them back. Been over 2 months since it released and still no new stock.

As of this review currently the cheapest 32 in 240hz QD Oled on the market. I enjoy the picture quality and HDR. It was a huge upgrade from an IPS display at 1440p. Two reasons why I gave it 4 stars is I believe there should just be one model with all the features to avoid confusion and split the difference on price at $925 and the cable management tray doesn't hide the cables. Overall, I'm having a great time playing games on this display. I recommend watching TFT Central on Youtube for instructions on how to access the OSD features and user mode calibration.

I am very impressed and happy with this monitor! 32", 4k, OLED, text quality, color, 240Hz is everything I've been waiting for, and it looks amazing. And in my office, with a North-facing window behind me, I'm not seeing any purple in the blacks like some other monitors and bright situations report, so for me, this monitor is perfect!

Fantastic monitor for the price. It has genuinely amazing contrast and the black levels are as cool as everyone says. Oled panels are something special and this one punches above its price tag. Color fringing on text was much less noticeable than I expected.

There are tons of versions of this monitor out there, but this by far is the most affordable out of all of them. Same panels and glossy, so the color really pops. You can't update the firmware of this monitor, but it's a non-issue for me as I never really bother to update unless there is a major bug that makes the monitor unuseable. This monitor does not have any issues like that so MSI nailed it.
