I had a Neato in the past....so went with another one when it was time to replace. His name is Data (I'm a Trekkie_)....so I just have to hit the Start button on my phone or tell Alexa to ask Data to start cleaning. He builds a map of my house ... which was very accurate, and does a very systematic cleaning. I do walk through the house and pick up cat toys before I start the cleaning cycle. In general, he hits every spot in the house, although there is one spot under the dining room table that he doesn't cover consistently.

The Neato D5 vacuum the floor nicely with precision of environmental scanning. Much better compare to my old Roomba that bump its way into every wall randomly. Neato also goes back to charging base automatically for next trip. However, I find it get stuck more frequently than Roomba because it has higher height clearance. It also stuck when vaccum over the floor blanket.

Come home from work, turn this on, do the dishes. As I finish the dishes, Neato is returning to base because he is done his work too! Allows me to keep my floors clean and keep the vacuum lines present at all times. Navigates like it says it does, in straight logical lines. It gets stuck sometimes, however, that is because of something that is an obstacle it can't overcome. You either use no-go lines to keep it out of that area or you relocate the obstacle.

My Neato is so handy. We have a Malinois that sheds like crazy so there is always dog hair! The Neato is synced to your cell phone, so you can be at work, push a button, and your little helper is hard at work. I love it!

This machine is amazing!! I have to empty it halfway through its clean... I have run it at least twice a week in my house since I got it and somehow its still filling twice in a run! Anyone that has pets needs this, my house is cleaner than its been in awhile... Im a techy guy though and have some wires laying around, from time to time it does get stuck but not the end of the world!! just un stick and rerun! also it works with my alexa through iffft!

After using this Neato d5 vacuum for several months, I can honestly say I’m very impressed. I have a dog that sheds quite a bit, and this unit picks up an unheard of amount of dog hair. I am continuously amazed every time I go to empty the receptacle how much it picks up! It’s very intelligent and knows where to go and how to get back to it’s base. I’m very happy with everything about it; from the ability to use a smartphone to get it going, to its battery life.

Not a vacuum, but GREAT for everyday sweeping...sand, dust, pet hair. And I can fire it up and still be free to do other things while it works! If you have kids, pets, and SAND....it's a real work saver!

Purchased a Neato to replace a broken Roomba. From what I can tell, the construction is nicer, shape is more practical, cleaning is more methodical, and more efficient. Each clean produces a map of what was covered and it is eerily accurate. Happy with my purchase and hopeful this will last much longer than the Roomba.

Very good robot vacuum. Upgraded from an old neato robot to this. Now it has wifi capability and will give you notifications if it has finished cleaning your house. Battery life on this one is better than the other models and can clean my house with one full charge. Again, satisfied with product and bestbuy for the convenience of acquiring this tech.

This was bought as a gift and it has helped out greatly in our home. We have 6 yo twins, which one has special needs with nursing in and out of the house and a dog on top of all of that. We obviously live a very busy full life and the daily vacuuming is now freeing up time to spend with the family. Plus it gets in places you wouldn't be able to vacuum daily (ie, under the bed) We are thrilled to have this in our home and love it!

The future is now, thanks to science! This piece of tech was a gift to the wife and it was worth every penny! Aggressively cleans as much of your hard and soft flooring surfaces as possible! It will get itsself in and out of some tricky spots. It's a fun little device that has almost taken on a pet like quality with it's crazy actions. You can tone it down in the settings by enabling "gentle navigation" but why, it's great as is.

This is still working great after several years of use and consistently picks up substantial amounts of dirt and hair. I'd recommend a Neato BotVac over any other robot vacuum based on cleaning performance alone. The fact that it's also good at traversing the house and cleaning up in an orderly manner makes it even better. A++ would buy again.

I had a Botvac D80 for about 2 and a half years. It finally broke for good after having to replace the battery every 6 months (nickle battery). The D5 was a massive upgrade in that department. The lithium ion is sooo much better and the unit now maps things out. I also love being able to access it via my smartphone instead of the tiny little menu on the botvac itself. Cleans 1000 square feet every 3 days and doesn't miss a beat.

I did a lot of research prior to choosing to purchase my Neato D5 and it exceeds all of my expectations. It is very smart and I am amazed at how well it cleans especially under my couch.

Cleaning pattern is like a human would do. Mapping feature confirms room layout. Easy to link to home Wi-Fi, but on second attempt. Like single room cleaning feature. Wish the docking command always worked, but seems to work only if neato left the docking station as part of scheduled cleaning.

Easy to use and clean out. Easy to program and it cleans well. Great for hard surfaces. If used for carpeted areas only, too small of a dust bin for carpeted areas in a large home. Bin would fill up too soon for one to use when not home. One would have to empty bin during recharging cycles if all carpeted. Otherwise, great product. I have 2 cats and a dog and it gets their hair well.

This wonderful device (Wall-e) now cleans my 1600 foot upper floor on a 2 times a week schedule and with no intervention on my part other than emptying the dust bin in the evening. It now does the entire floor on one charge and one dust bin. It took 5 complete passes to get the floor to this state. The first complete passes filled the dust bin and required emptying 2-3 times before the pass could finish. (I didn't think the house was that dirty) The process of getting Wall-e to make a pass without getting stuck was fun, I had to learn where it could get to cords (and how to place them so he would not), and how to put my shoe string out of the cleaning path. He also got places the Rumba could not. This process did not take long, He was very good at training me to clear his path. I only had to move one piece of furniture about 1/4" closer to the wall other wise it was just neatening cords that is should have done in the first place. I also like the NEATO much better than the RUMBA. The Scanning and much more orderly, and in my eyes complete, process appears to catch thing my Rumba missed. Wall-e had no issues with the down staircase and has not gone over the edge. The magnetic strip that is the boundary fence is also much easier and far less intrusive than the Rumba electronic fence. There is also the difference in price that makes it very hard to justify the additional cost of a Rumba. If you are looking into one of these machines, i would highly recommend the Neato D5 over the Rumba.

This BotVac was great at first I thought until I noticed it was having a hard time turning when it got into corners. Because of the repeated turning it actually removed paint from my trim in my brand new home. Customer service told me that I’m supposed to put strips all over in those areas, but that is ridiculous when it needs to clean along the walls. I even turned on the sensitive setting and it has damaged my trim. I noticed the BotVac left several long white scratches on my new hardwood floors which BotVac said they are not responsible for any damage and that it is stated in their manual, to me this is a disappointing product because I have to be home when it is in use to be sure that it doesn’t have anything stuck in it or damage my floors any further. I keep getting error messages that it’s path is blocked, or that it isn’t connecting even though I just updated the app and reset my connection. It also seems to constantly have trouble returning to the base because it runs out of batteries and gives me a message to return it to the base. So far, after having this a few short weeks, I am wondering if I should have just spent the extra money on a roomba.

This vacuum has changed our lives. It cleans almost everday and always does an amazing job. Gets up dog hair and tons of dust and dirt on all floor types.

I love this little robot- is a hard working little guy. Picks up stuff that you didn’t know was there. Only day one and am happy with my purchase so far.
