Easy to set up and cleans pretty well. Using it with Alexa, the only problem is it likes to go under the TV stand and get stuck there, other then that it's a great product.

This vacuum does an excellent job. Only draw back is you have to be around if it gets stuck

I didn't think I'd love this thing as much as I do. This thing is amazing, does a great job cleaning my entire house, gets around/over obstacles but hasn't sucked up it should not. Works in the dark and creates a map of your home for max efficiency.

If you find some decent third party replacement parts this is a great long term investment. Battery still holding up strong and suction still good.

I really love this product. If you are particular about crumbs in the corners not vacuumed or a piece of snack or two lying in the floor that the vacuum did not pick, this may not be for you, but generally I do not care much on those. It vacuums, finds the dock and continues to clean the entire house, while I am with my friends. Yes, there is maintenance required with regular emptying of the bin and other cleaning duties, but I think it is relatively less work compared to vacuuming. Keep in mind this vacuum is to augment your day-to-day vacuuming, not replace your upright completely. So do not throw away your upright :) The No-Go lines feature works as advertised and also goes over my Black patterned rug, which a Roomba did not. Ifs, buts and maybe apart, this is an excellent product and our household like it.

I love this robot vacuum. It’s a better value than most in my opinion. It can be mostly controlled from a smartphone and its schedules cleanings are great. I do wish I could control it with my phone like a remote control without having to pay hundred more for the model up.

I got an older model for my parents and myself a couple of years ago and I loved it. I loved it so much I gifted a Neato to my aunt this Christmas. Helping my uncle set it up and watching it in action made me want to upgrade my Neato. It cleans as well as, if not better, than my Neato - I thought my aunt's house was pretty clean and Neato still managed to fill it's reasonably large dust bin. It also navigates better than my Neato - my Neato will bump into things from time to time, but this model has a feature that allows it to navigate around things more carefully, as was demonstrated to me while it made its way under and around the kitchen stools without touching a single leg. Perfect for busy people to help maintain a house or apartment that isn't very dirty to begin with.

We had a Neato Botvac D80 (and still do)and after reading reviews of the new Rooba 980 we bought a 980. It ran fine. Just didn’t pickup dirt like the Neato. We ran the Neato right after the Roomba as a test and it was amazing how much better the Neato cleaned. And so we returned the Roomba and bought a D5 WiFi connected and are very pleased. We use both Neatos daily.

We are extremely pleased with the Neato vac. It was a great purchase.

I've owned two of these, the D80 and this one. I love being able to see the map of what was cleaned and knowing when I get off work if the unit is stuck or needs attention. I have a German Shedder and this helps keep me sane.

We upgraded from a botvac d and this vacuum seems to be smarter and gets stuck less, still does get stuck but we have lots of toys in its way. I don’t like that they got rid of the screen though.

Its hard to connect the robo once you change your wifi password. It almost took an hour and multiple resets of the system. It takes a lot of time to scan a new room and the algorithm keeps working at the places which it already been 5-6 times which is kind of losing the battery potential. But i figured that once the room setup is done it can finish cleaning quickly but you have to for sure add a room to make it efficient. Needs to be emptied regularly as its bin is too small.

Went thru 2 of the never models and returned them both. I have had this one for several months now and I love it. Rarely has a problem returning to its base and it's insane how much stuff it picks up on a daily basis.

Really loving this robot vac. In spite of this being my second one due to the previous one malfunctioning it does a great job. I love the fact that it’s able to go over my high pile carpets unlike other brands. Also the gridded direction it goes in As it cleans is super efficient. I will say some of the smaller things that you wouldn’t think should offset the vac trigger it which isn’t frustrating however it’s an extra step to have to go through Sometimes!! All in all dope robot vacuum and I’m happy with my purchase.

My first one I had for two months and the side brush stopped working. I took it back and they replaced the whole machine. I haven't had the second one for an entire month yet but it has issues cleaning the same areas as the first one. It will not send me notifications and sounds like a jet engine with issues. I loved how the first one cleaned but both machines have had issues. I am glad I bought the extended warranty.

Takes a while to get everywhere, but cleans everywhere!

I bought this with a good deal price. This device functions well for cleaning my wood floor. However, it kept losing the configurations. I need reconnect with my phone to this device every 3-4 weeks. Each time it took about 10 minutes the configure the connection. Hope it could be easy.

We've owned two other Neato (XV series and D80), and have been extremely happy with their performance, and learned to live with the quirks that come with them. About 7 months ago, our XV batteries were about to die (every 5 months like clockwork...one of those quirks) we decided it wouldn't take too long to pay for a new robot that had bigger battery capacity, and just retired our battery eating XV. So, we looked to the D5, as it had the longest battery capacity.and Alexa/smartphone interface. As experienced owners, we expected to plug it in and be extremely satisfied. Even after reading the mixed reviews that accompany all of these devices. That was unfortunately not the case! Compared to the older series, this robot handles obstacles like dining chairs significantly better, rarely getting stuck in them. (a quirk we had learned to live with), it cleans well, and the app is evolving, although a little sparse. Alexa works well with it too. However, this one has an annoying habit of getting stuck in seemingly wide open spaces, or things like the pool table legs. It boggled the mind how it could navigate chairs barely big enough for it to fit into, yet would get stuck on pool table legs? We even bought extra barrier tape, and blocked off the pool table legs. This helped, but again, would randomly get stuck in the middle of the carpet, where the others had NO problem cleaning. While a relatively small problem, we run our vacuums at night so we don't have to hear them, and like waking up to a clean floor every morning. So, we would find 3-5 days a week, we'd have to restart it when we got up in the morning. Finally one day, I realized that the issue is coming from the edge sensor that keeps it from falling off of stairs, as our carpet has large swaths of black stripes in it, and as it would transition from the brown to the black, it would think it was going to fall off. This makes sense for the randomness, as they aren't continuous, and it has to hit those in the right way to cover both sides of the unit and trigger the stoppage. I cleaned the sensors for the millionth time, and was still able to repeat this failure mode. Once i realized this, I resurrected the old XV for the room with that carpet, and utilize the barriers to wall of that room to the D5. For the past couple of months, it has performed almost perfectly. As other reviewers have said, on occasion, it gets "confused" which requires a power cycle, and then it's fine for a while. It's also somewhat intermittent with it's network connection. So, why 2 stars? Well, it works, but it doesn't work. Neato has obviously changed something (the stair sensor) as they introduced a problem that didn't exist with previous models. Yet they improved other parts in significant ways. I wish there was an option to turn off that sensor, as I have a one story house, and it's not an issue for me. If you are considering this unit, or are having random stuck, look at your flooring to see if a similar situation exists. It might save you some grief (if you are still in the return window)

This thing is great, and does what you'd expect it to do. It handles navigating the house pretty well, and cleans up well. The negatives are that it's a little finicky with Wi-Fi and so we haven't been able to use the scheduling function as much as we'd like. And since we haven't been able to schedule for when we're not home, we have to listen to it going and it is just as loud as a normal vacuum, except that it bumps into things and takes forever to finish,
