I tried different locations in my house for the wireless extender, my house is 4,500 sq ft so I really needed this device...I had to relocate closer to my wireless router on the first floor instead of the second floor. Speed throughput is good. I would think that removable antennas with longer cables would cure that problem.

Comcast standard cable wireless modem's signal wasn't able to reach downstairs to be able to stream NFL Sunday ticket. The AC1900 easily solved this problem. Coverage / signal stronger everywhere in the house.

I bought this in addition to my current router (which is an ASUS). I live in a fairly large apt in and older building so there's a lot of interference causing one router not being able to cover the whole apartment. The nether extender was quick and easy to setup and works really well.

The unit was easy to program and works well. We can log onto whichever has the stronger signal.

I bought this for my shop, it is 300 feet from my main router in the house. I buried cat6 cable to the shop and plugged this in and it just worked. I had never had a range extender work right out of the box. My shop is 2700 sq feet and no dead spots, not even in the office.

After trying two weaker routers, this one finally did the job. We have an old house with thick walls, so wireless Internet did not do well, but this router does get the signal almost everywhere on both floors.

I'm situated at the opposite end of a large house from the wifi router, where there's usually no connectivity. In the room with our router, download time is around 55mbps. With my previous wifi extender, download time in my room was about 7mbps. With the Nighthawk, it's about 35mbps. Much better! Now I can do Zoom calls and Discord hangouts. It's also nice that the Nighthawk can be set up from your computer remotely - it doesn't need to be attached to your computer by a LAN cable. The one problem I had was during the first set-up. I couldn't get it to connect to my router using the WPS button, or by connecting my computer to the wifi signal the Nighthawk emits for set-up. The directions that come with the Nighthawk give you third option: a URL to put into your browser to access the Nighthawk's controls. Mine took me to a webpage that appeared functional, but no connection to my wifi could be made. When I went to Netgear's website to troubleshoot, the set-up steps there gave a different URL - this one worked smoothly and quickly. I guess they've updated that bit since manufacturing and packaging these devices? Anyway, PRO-TIP: get the URL to set your Nighthawk up off of Netgear's website.

We needed a longer range extender to our rv in the back yard as the older cheaper one kept dropping signal and netflix kept cutting out or buffering frequently. This one here fit the bill and has an additional benefit of being able to stream on several devices at the same time without issues. The rv with the extender is about 100 ft from the router in the house with nothing blocking anything in-between the house and RV.

I am not a person who knows much about these kind of things, so not a technical review. I bought to help improve signal to a ring doorbell. I had decent WiFi already through most of the house. This makes it great inside and out (except for the doorbell- but I’m guessing that’s more of an issue w it rather than the signal). Set up was fine. After firmware update, it was able to act like a mesh extender (as far as I can tell- you can use the same network name from the router to the extender and devices can connect to either fluidly). It does what I need it to do

Purchased this extender because my AT&T wifi set up was located on the far south side of my house, and I needed to improve the signal to the Northside end of my home. This worked well for a time, but ultimately I've decided to return this item. Based on my research, this seemed easy to use and reliable. Set up was in fact easy, and its mesh capability made it so it automatically registered with the same name and password as my AT&T wifi, so I didn't have to reconnect any devices to a separate signal like the instructions stated I would. Not only did it boost the signal to full strength on the Northside, it even improved internet speeds throughout the household to hit our max speed of 50mbps (average speed on any wifi device was 20-30 previously). I did not take the chance to test performance via direct connection through Ethernet port. Over a two week period, we had to reset and resync the extender several times. The connection for the 2.4GH signal was consistent, but after a week it would loose the 5GHZ signal in a matter of minutes. We also started to have problems with our ISP around this point, so we can't say for sure if that signal loss was a defect of the extender or not. Ultimately chose to return the extender after switching my ISP that allowed me to use my own, stronger router that made the extender unnecessary. I would only recommend if you can't use your own router or find one strong enough to cover the whole household. Even then,I would warn you to watch out for disconnects and problems with staying synced with your wifi.

I couldn't get wifi though out my house. So I checked this out and thought I'd try it. Works like a charm. I now get a strong signal from the activity room to the back of the house where my guys man cave is and upstairs where my office is. PERFECT!!! Problem solved! NETGEAR - Nighthawk AC1900 Dual-Band Gigabit Wi-Fi Range Extender
