This router is awesome. Super easy to setup. Full speed on the cat6's running from my router located downstairs into my room upstairs. The speed on the 5GHz wifi band is good and the range on the 2.4GHz band is exceptional. I can connect to my wifi from my neighbor's house across the street.....Only downside would be the price as it is fairly high but if u want something that's reliable and fast, bite the bullet and get this. I haven't played around with any other networking settings so I can't attest to how well it can handle those things if you are an advanced user but for speed, range, and connecting many devices wirelessly this router is great.

I have used Arris Surfboard routers, the ever crappy Spectrum provided "anything electronic" and finally returned to this router. Living in a 1950's built home and old wiring, there were many connectivity issues form the start using the above mentioned manufacturers.
After installing this router, with due diligence in researching a unit for our particular needs, we have found one that exceeds our son's need for gaming, three Samsung app related tv's and two computers running 24/7.
As recommended by our A/V installer, get it as high up as possible for whole house utilization. The picture attached has it 6+ feet high on my wardrobe. That has worked better than any router I have ever owned. And the signal strength is exceptional. Very little issues that actually emanate from Spectrum, not this unit!

Bought this router after upgrading my service to 250mbps. My house is one floor but always had issues reaching that farthest parts of the house. I normally use a TP link extender ( signal booster).
Installation was very easy. 30 minutes total for installation time including the wait time for my cable company (Atlantic Broadband) to finalize changes on their end.
I don't need the signal booster anymore since the router now reaches out to that end.
If I want to upgrade my service again my router satisfies those requirements for 1 gigabit speeds.
This model worked for my COAX connection
Doesnt need a whole lot of space and lightweight like the weight of a laptop.

Fast, reliable, and has not dropped any connections so far. I’m absolutely pleased with this router so far! Expensive and large but hoping to use it for many years.

I give this a full 5 stars because of how great it is. The only turn off was the price. But it is totally justified.
Before I purchased this I had to have a range extender in my house to carry the signal through the whole house. I live in a 2 story fairly spread out large house. My kids never had signal in the opposite side of the house upstairs in their rooms. Even with the extender they still would drop often.
We decided to give this a try and wow. The range is awesome. It fully covers their rooms now and even extends outside to my back porch where we hang out often.
If I had it to do over again I would absolutely purchase this again. Everyone is much happier with our range and speed now. Setup is super easy except for like most ISPs you have to call to have them add the new MAC address. This is always a pain but not the fault of Netgear, it just is what it is.
Do yourself a favor and get this if you need a great modem/router for larger areas.
I attacked a screenshot of my Speedtest on WiFi with the router.

I bought the Netgear Nighthawk AC 3200 to replace the router/modem supplied by Comcast. I was renting the Comcast unit ($14/month, $168/year) and was only getting WiFi speeds of 25 to 40 when I was paying for 100. The Netgear unit gives me consistent speeds of 115 to 120, and the purchase price will be recouped in two years. Set up was fairly simple. Which is good since I am a novice. I only hit a glitch when it came to the final part of connecting with Comcast. After trying to get a Comcast agent on the phone for about 45 minutes, I repeated the final step of connecting to Comcast and it worked immediately (wish I had tried that earlier haha). I kept the Comcast unit for a few days to make sure everything worked and then returned it and now my bill is looking much better. The one thing to remember is that when you do this switch over all of your connected devices, and there are many, need to be reset to the new network. I highly recommend this unit, although the price could be a little lower. Good luck.

One of the best Modem/Router that you can buy, having a modem and a router in the same equipment without the need for extra accessories is worth it. NETGEAR brand has always offered me very good products and this is no exception,
High speed internet thanks to DOCSIS 3.1 technology, four 1Gb Ethernet ports along with 2.4 and 5GHz high speed Wi-Fi make this product a very good option. The only bad thing that I find is the absence of the new WIFI 6 standard, which I think is a shame considering the price of the equipment and the prestige of the brand.

I should have done this a long long time ago. This modem/router combo is completely customizable. It provides a perfectly consistent connection for my work at home purposes and I can keep that NAT type open for gaming purposes. The coverage is outrageously good for my smaller home, but I'm quite sure it would cover a home twice this size. I still get a great connection and great speeds at the back of my property if I ever needed to do any work while sitting on my back fence and my neighbors in all directions, if they could figure out my password, would get great and consistent speeds. This really is a remarkable upgrade over the company provided equipment. I really should have done this a long time ago. I'm finally consistently getting the internet I pay for.

At first I tried the AC1900 and I didn’t like it. The goal was to try to manage some of the cables and try to hide all the cluttered wires. Unfortunately I ended up hurting my wifi range, so I returned it and got this AC3200. This model has way better range. I can now walk out to the back of the apartment or walk across the street and I’m still connected to wifi I couldn’t even do that with my old setup. Ascetic wise this one looks cooler. Only con is the price.

Solved The Problem !!

I have owned 4 Nest outdoor cameras for almost 2 years, three outdoor and one in the living room. The outdoor cameras have helped in the arrest of 3 individuals, many thieves chased off and stolen property recovered.
The main outdoor Nest camera(most important) has been causing havoc with this
"Your camera is offline" dark screen, since last June. I've researched the problem, read the treads here and still no solution. the cameras are all within 20 feet of the Comcast modem. I even returned the modem to Comcast and got another, supposedly stronger modem. WiFi boosters did not help at all; they were returned to the store.
The kick in the butt here is; that one of my cameras is only 1 foot from the problem camera and rarely goes offline. Swapping equipment made no difference, so the unit(camera) was not the problem.
I got tired & threw money into an Arlo System Pro 2 just to replace the problem camera. The Arlo stayed offline 60% of the day, unacceptable when the thieves regularly come by. The Arlo was not the better camera BTW, when each is online working. When working, the Nest wins hands down; I just needed eyes on the parking lot ASAP.
When I explained the setup on my four Nest cameras to numerous people who would listen, not all agreed that it was a WiFi issue.
Today I took the Arlo back for a refund and was out of options, standing in the isle at Best Buy. One of the employees asked me about the problem and had me explain in detail my setup.
He was convinced that it was a WiFi issue regardless of the distance from camera to modem. he did not have anything good to say about the Comcast modem I was using. The employee even pulled up my Comcast modem on his cell and showed me what I was using and the weakness of that particular modem.
He recommended the Netgear NightHawk X4S AC3200, I was not happy with the sticker price on the NetGear, very expensive. But,,, I need an answer to this OffLine madness.
I took the NetGear home, installed it, called Comcast and had them add my new modem and remove their modem from my system.
Plugged in the problem camera and still a no-go !! The other 3 Nest cameras jumped online, working beautifully.
Now, I'm exhausted,,,, Then a thought hit me,,,,,,my NetGear has booth 2G and 5G networks. I went online to my NetGear WiFi control panel. The 3 working cameras were on the 2G network and the problem camera was on the 5G network. I went to my problem camera on my iPhone and scrolled down to WiFi connection to update the WiFi on that camera. I put the camera on the 2G network and the camera WORKS Great !! This camera would not perform on the 5G network. According to what I have read, the Nest should perform on both 2G and 5G. Not so with my cameras.
All day and NO drops !! Love It !!
**Note**
My problem camera was only 1 foot away from the other camera, but was attached to a metal balcony rail. The employee did mention that 2G penetrates better than 5G; was the rail an issue with the WiFi on 5G,, I don't know.
My Nest camera videos are slightly sharper with the new modem.
Sorry for the long post, but hopefully something I said will help to keep your cameras online.

So far real good and maybe its cause im in a 2 bedroom apt not a house like where i read most complaints about this router but its good for me and gives me my speed i pay for 1000dl and 50upload. The pic is from laptop running on ethernet on top of my xbox series XS is also connected with ethernet at the moment along with my girlfriend on her laptop on wifi remotely working at home so 3 connections sametime, no lag no issues. The only thing i dislike is i cant update the firmware on it like i use to be able to on my nighthawk ac1900 so i have to rely on my ISP to do that and 95 percent of the time i have better luck winning the lotto

Paid a premium for this bad boy and do not regret it. Very fast, looks sleek, and has all the bells and whistles a typical consumer needs.
Only con in my book is the size, it takes a fair amount of space and looking for a way to hide it.

What's well for Xfinity gig speed but if you have Xfinity home it will take another wireless router that Xfinity will give for no charge. And this does not work for Xfinity Voice. But please note. I went into the system interface to make some adjustments to squeeze out the maximum speed. But it works fine when it comes right out the box.

I was tired of “their” router/modem even though it was free but it never even came close to the download speed I was paying for plus the lag! I am so happy with all my WiFi connected devices since I bought this router/modem combo. Their piece of junk kept dropping my connections from my WiFi Ring Security Cameras and WiFi Nest Thermostat so I finally did some research and found out that this brand and model was by far the best bang for the buck.
