We upgraded our old gateway to this router paired with a modem from our ISP. My family is impressed by the faster speeds and increased range over our old model. This works well for our 1500sf home. Would recommend!

This router is way much better than my last (mesh type). Installation was easy, and it worked seamlessly. Not only did it meet my ISP’s projected gigabit internet but exceeded the expectations. Strong signal anywhere in my 2-bedroom condo. Look no further and get this router.

This router is my second nighthawk. My first lasted for a long time and when it was time to replace, I knew that I would buy another. The app is also helpful when trying to diagnose an issue with service.

Had the router for a month and it's provided much better signal all around the house. The blink doorbell has much better signal now.

Its definitely better than the router it replaced, however the 2.4ghz seems to be pretty bad. Note: i live in a singlewide trailer that is 56ft. The router is almost dead center. For whatever reason the speed and connectivity is completely unstable in my master bedroom. 5ghz works perfectly there and further. I primarily upgraded for the processor and the fact it advertises to handle more devices than my previous. All in all its a decent up to date router.

Great product with insanely fast speeds. My townhouse is about 1,600 sq ft and I have no issues in any part of the house. I like to game and get pretty competitive, and this router has been incredible. Zero lag and smooth connection. Also, the app gives you control over your connected devices and super simple to use.

After buying this and taking it home, I had to call netgear to walk me through setting it up. Once it was up and running it was great. Faster than my old one, Takes up less space.

This router works great, setup is pretty simple, but the app setup they want you to do doesn't give you half as many options as what PC set up does, however it does get it working. Got this for fiber internet and I'm getting the same Internet speed out from the route as I'm getting in from the fiber modem

My old 12+ year old router finally breathed its last breath recently. It kept going in and out with the connection, and it frustrated me. Once it died, I drove over to Best Buy and bought a Nighthawk router at a very good price. My living space isn't big, so I knew I didn't need to upgrade with greater signal range. I got what I paid for, and it was awesome. My router was extremely easy to set up, and had very few parts in the box for me to physically assemble. I used to set up routers purely through ethernet connection to my PC, but this time I did it with the Nighthawk app via my phone. I was amazed at how much technology has changed since 12+ years ago, because of how convenient & quick the digital setup process was. And as soon as I got all my devices configured with the new network & password, my whole house was running on full steam again, faster than before.

The physical part of setting it up was easy. But there are other parts of the setup that are NOT intuitive or obvious and require going online, but that's not mentioned in the instructions nor does it automatically happen. So just call customer service upfront to walk you through it and save yourself the grief of missing a step. And make sure you have something to take notes on. You'll be glad you did. Otherwise, I really like the router, and I had no idea that they actually got worse over time and I needed to replace it. Much better now.

Honestly didn't expect much. Old router died and it was on sale. I was pushed towards a app to setup but was able to do so directly and not have to setup an account. I was getting decent speeds but nothing great. All devices were able to connect without issue. Later I noticed increased speed as it adjusted to the best channel which was great. The firmware updated automatically so that was good as well. Overall, very happy with the purchase.

I was searching for a router for my mom and I knew absolutely nothing about them but that I didn't need to do fancy things. I did some research on Best Buy and chose three different ones online to pick up in the store so that I could see which one that the Best Buy employee recommended most from my choices of affordable ones. He was very knowledgeable, pleasant to talk to, and assuring so that I felt confident that he knew what he was talking about. I chose two TP routers and one Netgear because of their reviews. I have had Netgear in the past and have liked their products but I was willing to try something different if it was better technology. When I showed the employee the three that I had chosen he immediately went to the Netgear as his first choice because of quality, features, and endurance without breakdowns or problems. You can just install it and almost never have to worry about it again until you need a new one because of necessary updates in technology. I personally chose the Netgear first because it had a good rating, was compatible with Spectrum Internet, and was on sale for my moms budget. I am a dummy when it comes to electronics so I was a little stressed that it would be hard and complicated. Thank God it wasn't! I followed the easy instructions. I downloaded the app. I got the Internet up and running within minutes. I love the app! It has a lot of great features and the process also registered my router at the same time. The password was easy to set up. I love the ability to quickly check my Internet speed and how it has a special feature already installed for daily safety checks. The app has more things that I probably will ever use, but just knowing that I have it there to use and that I can easily get help there brings peace. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone.

all though I'v used Netgear through out the years, I had trouble with this one using the app to set it up. end results talk to support for 1 1/2 hrs to get it up and running. He told me to ck if I could get on the internet and sitting in front of my laptop I got on and said thanks. Tried to get the tv and no luck. Frustration set in at that time and and I put the old one back so I could get back on line. Lesson when you can't get on line. ck what network your on, may be it wasn't the router and the difficulty I had with the set up, was me in the end but still hard to set up with the app. To be fair I needed support 2 times with the router I have now . Apps that are buggy will drive you crazy, also Googles ai gave me a generic answer, close but !!!

Description: For it's price point, it's an excellent WiFi 7 router. I was already about to purchase it, but this particular model went on a black Friday special as well. As with most people, Internet service was starting to charge for equipment rental and as I like to keep monthly expenses down, I decided to get my own equipment again. Setup is easy and straightforward. I only had one big issue that wasn't on the router per se. I spent around 5 hours on the phone and off trying to get service going through my new modem and router and determined the modem was just fine and wasn't the issue. The router just wouldn't connect to the Internet, wired or wireless. At first I could connect to the router through my cellphone. But shortly after, it would glitch out trying to load the router settings/setup page. I knew it was in the settings and I needed to change an address around, but couldn't access that. I told my ISP to turn back on the old modem/router(theirs) while I figured a solution. I plugged the old back in and wired the Netgear into it. Within seconds, the app notified me that it changed the address to match the providers service. Then it started to update the firmware. After giving it a bit, I reconnected it and everything was working. My ISP is Optimum by the way My advice to anyone else is to just plug it into your current service if you can and let it update and possibly alter any settings it needs to automatically so you don't need to have a goose chase like I did.

Easy setup. Fast internet both upload and download. Increased upload speed by almost 10x over older nighthawk. Provides adequate signal strength to reach basement corner from opposite end of 42' first floor location. Eliminated need for signal extender.

Great buy! Stellar coverage and speeds for the price point, combined it with a nighthawk range extender to cover the whole house in speeds comparable to what I get from a hardline. Set up was also easy peasy. Works flawlessly with my spectrum internet

I moved and needed to provide my own router. When I couldn't find my old Netgear, I decided to buy a new one. And I know... old tech doesn't keep up. But I'm glad I got this new router with WiFi 6, it's so much faster than the WiFi 5 that my other provider came with. I use it with my roommate in a 1,200 sq ft apartment. We both can stream movies or work from home with no latency issues. I think it's a great choice for the price.
