Set up the extender in my upstairs and my main router downstairs. I get really good signal and fast connections with almost no noticeable lag. I use it on a PS3 and an XBOX 360 and a Samsung smart TV. Occasionally it will suddenly drop the internet for about 10 seconds, but it happens during peak afternoon times so it might be too many wireless connections in my area all working. 99% of the time I am cruising along without any trouble and even online gaming without any problems. Nice little unit to have to make your network reach just that little bit farther.

I bought this because my house is big, and my network router is buried in an upstairs corner of the house. So, Netgear Range Extender to the rescue, or so I hoped. Turns out, I needed three of them for my three story home, however they do the trick. Now, you can be in the basement, outside in the screen house, on the roof, or anywhere in my house and get great Wi-Fi receptivity. Setup is quick and easy, and using them is like plugging in a night-light. Once you've set it up, you can move it around as needed, if needed. I'm extremely happy that I finally have eliminated the network "blind spots" in my home. I'm just a little disappointed it took three units to do it.

Got this not really to boost my WiFi range, but to give my receiver upstairs a semi hard wired connection to my network. The receiver did not have wifi so I used this give me a port upstairs without having to run an Ethernet through the wall. Works like it should!

This unit was remarkably easy to set up. Pretty much plug and play with a quick install tutorial on the computer. Boosted my wifi range from about 20 feet outside my house to about 60 feet. Has the occasional drop which kept it from 5 stars.

Main wifi router was in home office at one end of the house. Signal was weak in several areas including kitchen and basement bedroom. Now signal is strong everywhere! And it was a snap to set up.

I bought this Range Extender due to my Xbox 360 and PS3 randomly disconnecting from the internet while in use. Both systems are on a metal entertainment stand, and the metal seems to interfere with the WiFi transmission. My house is 2500 sq. ft., and my Wireless Router (NetGear WNDR3400-100NAS) is upstairs in the loft. Setup and installation is really simple. The only part that MIGHT take more than a few minutes is placement of the Range Extender. In all honesty, if you can't get the range extender to sync with the Wireless Router, you're probably out of range. You press and hold a button on the router, press one on the Range Extender, and you're done. It really is that simple. I've had this Range Extender for a few months now, and it has yet to fail me. If you have any doubt about your connection, give this a shot.

My WiFi access point was on the north end of my house. There are two bedrooms on the south end that had little to no signal. This was bad when we had guests and they were not able to use WiFi. I bought this extender, plugged it in, followed the installation wizard, and now not only do I have signal in the guest bedrooms, I can also go out to my toddler's playset, which is a pretty good distance from the bedrooms, and still use WiFi. I recommend this device to anyone that needs an affordable extender.

First one we installed only worked about 2 weeks, but Best buy swapped it out no questions asked. The new seems to be doing much better. I use it to get wireless to the garage which is over 300' away from house. Took a while to get it locked in, but now it works great. Son can play his Xbox in room over garage and not bother us. Read up on Fresnel Zone if you want to tune this to its max. It is worth it. It was a lot easier than digging a ditch and running a cable the 300 feet :)

Using two of these extenders in a two story house; main router is on first floor, one extender upstairs, using the ethernet ports to a wired connection on desktop pc; second unit in entertainment center, also using hard wires to the ethernet ports on dvr and apple tv. Find that this wired connection thru the extender provides a much stronger/cleaner signal to those devices than just wifi would. Of course the wifi signal from the units is strong as well for the tablet/phone use in the house. Great value!

The Wi-Fi extender works pretty well. It has a great range, but caused some interference on my network, and that didn't please me. I'm using a Cisco module to broadcast my network from my basement next to my router. I put the extender on the second floor in my bedroom, and it sniffed the network, but recommended that it had a stronger signal to work with. I moved it to my first floor, and the range extended throughout my 1200(?) sq. ft. house. It has great range, but I noticed that my devices got a little confused between the extender network and the original network. I didn't want to have them forget the Cisco router in case I wanted to move my devices downstairs, but that seemed like the best way to make it work in my house. Overall, a good device. Strong signal, excellent range. My only immediate drawback was that it only accepted a broadcast signal to extend, not something that I could plug in. However, it does have 4 ports in the back to give a hard line to my other devices. That was particularly useful.
