This little air cooler is perfect for an apartment or condo. Not only does it cool small areas (like a bedroom or small living room) really well, but it’s lightweight and easy to move around with its wheels and convenient handles on each side; the removable water tank is easy to fill and keep clean (use one of the included blue ice “bricks” along with ice cubes if possible, to enhance the cooling effect); the water level indicator is visible from the front; the filters are easy to remove and rinse off; and the small remote (that stores in the back of the unit when not in use) is convenient for changing the timer, speeds, modes, etc. I have a much bigger & heavier evaporative cooler for larger areas or when it’s particularly hot. But it’s a big hassle because the tank isn’t removable and tends to develop smelly algae within a couple of days, then I have to lug it outside to drain it and scrub the tank—not to mention having to point the exhaust outside by leaving my front door open when it’s in use, which decreases the cooling effect. And it’s very noisy. All in all, the NewAir cooler is way more convenient and easy to use and maintain!

Keeps you cool if you do not have air conditioning. Great to run at night instead of the central air conditioning. I only have to fill the water up 2 or 3 times a day max.

We live in El Paso Tx. My girlfriend's a/c at her apartment complex is horrible and often goes out of order, with management taking up to a whole week to fix it. In the hottest time of the year, my girlfriend was roasting and she often struggled to make it through the night using her ceiling fan and a box fan I had bought alone. I bought this thing just to keep in her room so she could at least get some sleep without dying. This little thing worked in cooling off the entire room like a charm. When the a/c is actually working (rarely), both of these cool the room immensely. I know it's recommended to open a window to let the air flow, but we personally keep the windows closed when using it and it works just fine. From a technical standpoint, when it arrived she couldn't wait for me to get there to set it up. She set it up all by herself, and by the time I got there it had already cooled her place off really nicely. It seemed easy to set up. It's pretty heavy but sturdy, and the wheels mean it's easy to move around. For sure it doesn't feel cheap or seem like the company cut corners anywhere. We both often remark that this has been one of my best purchases. It's worth every penny, I paid around 160 for it.

I have purchased others kinds of evaporative coolers and regretted all of them. It gets completely un livable in this house during summer months and I have wasted so much money trying to get relief. I was afraid to try another one but I had to, so I got this one and was shocked. It works great. It makes the room bearable even when it gets over 100° outside. It got knocked over hard onto a concrete floor and still works. FYI, It is not easy to knock it over I just have a family full of people that have tenancy to break everything. It isn't too loud. I can talk on the phone with it on high. It is very easy to fill. It lasts through the night. When the water is too low it has a soft beep then switches itself to fan only if you don't refill it. The beeping is soft enough to not disturb sleep, work etc. but enough to let you know when you're awake. I bought another one 3 days after I got the first one.

This is a great product love it works great as air conditioning and use as just a fan perfect product to keep cool with.

The NewAir didn’t work for us. We live in inland California (in an area the manufacturer says it should work), where the humidity rarely exceeds 55%. The NewAir did not cool the air at all. Maybe the humidity is too high in our area for an evaporative cooler to work. It works well as just a fan, though! As mentioned in other reviews, it does have a strong plastic smell when blowing air. Lastly, it feels cheaply built, while is probably what makes this cooler affordable.

Good size, easy to maneuver, reasonably quick to set up, and does a nice job of moving cooled air in my west-facing room. I have a swamp cooler but it just doesn't move air in all the places I would like, this fills the gap.

Excellent fan, blows cool air air at a decent speed! And if you need it colder just add water. If you need it colder than that add ice!!! Awsome choice if you live in humid environments and don't want to spend the money on an air conditioner!

It works great and can cool down the room. It holds enough water for longer hour use. The cooler is very easy to operate. I like the timer function.

A bit bulky for my liking but does the job. Cools up the room fast with cold water

This cooler mostly works as expected. It could cool the room by a few degrees. One major issue is the plastic smell. I let it run in the garage for a couple of weeks, and rinsed the cooling pad several times according to the manufacturer's advice. I can clearly smell it if I come in to the room from outside. I don't know if it's just me or it's the material used.

Clunky and big. It does work but doesn’t take the place of an air conditioner. I wish I bought a Dyson instead. You must fill water tanks and swap out ice packs daily.

I have for more tha 2 years i had a flood on ida in nyc and this fan was sink into water and didnt suffer no damage still working today

I bought this for my granddaughter, who lives in a very hot place and has a problem taking heat, Now that it is very hot, she reports that it works so well that it has made her bedroom bearable once again so she can sleep again.

Best fan purchase every! I live in Texas and like the description says it works well with your A/C. The water freeze packs is a plus. You can really feel the cooler feature of this fan.

After finding couple reviews on YouTube about this evaporative cooler I decided to make the purchase it was fast shipping and I didn’t think it would deliver until next Wednesday but Saturday!! The evaporative cooler itself was easy to use so far and it cooled my hot room.
