After being involved in a non-fault car wreck two months ago, my NextBase Dashcam was invaluable. Proved that we were not at fault and made the claim process so smooth. As soon as we received our Jeep back from repairs, I went ahead and ordered the companion NextBase rear view camera to attach to my NextBase 322GW dash cam. Set up was really simple, attached it to the rear window with the supplied 3M sticky pad and mount. Then left enough slack for the tailgate to open (this is essential or you'll pull it off the back window the first time you open it). Ran the cable all the way from the back of the tailgate, along the headliner so it's all nice and tucked away. Went inside the door trim rubber gasket, around the A pillar and along the front of the headliner, tucking the cable in with a auto trim tool. Finally popped the connector down from the headliner parallel to the power cord and plugged it directly into the camera. Total install time was about 15 mins. As soon as it's plugged in, the dash cam recognizes it (you do need the dash cam to operate this camera, it is NOT a stand alone camera). It gives you a picture in picture of the rear view in the LCD display. Nice and clear, great quality video. Really happy with the ease of use, and the NextBase desktop app is phenomenal, provides so much data that is very useful for the Police/Insurance adjuster, including exact GPS positioning, speed, g-force of the impact etc. Overall, very happy with the purchase, and having gone through it once this year already, I will be more than happy if I never 'have' to use this product, as evidence of a situation. Total piece of mind add-on for $68.

Easy to mount, Quality is great. - Definitely something to add if you have a NextBase camera. Wiring kit was easy to work with and route. Mount stuck nicely to my window and magnetic ball/mount works great and is very flexible.

The Dash Cam for the back of your vehicle is just as crystal clear as the front dash camera. 4K, image stabilization, and parking mode. Can’t beat it for the price either.

Bought this rearcam for my nextbase dash cam and its wonderful. The view is clear and crisp, There’s enough wiring to probably go around my car twice. The sticky pad wasn’t sticking in the beginning and the camera kept falling but after about an hour it stuck properly and hasn’t moved. Overall excellent product.

I don't have too much to say about it I have a cargo van and the wiring wasn't long enough I installed it anyway I just don't have it mounted in the center and no one at Best buy could seem to help me on finding a longer wire I even went online no luck

Purchased this as part of the Nextbase 622GW bundle. I installed this in my 2014 F150 crew cab pick-up truck. Installation was very easy. The toughest part was tucking the wire under the headliner at the front window and making sure it stayed tucked in there. The rest of the installation of the wire was easy to tuck up under the headliner in the rest of the cab. This camera view can be seen in the corner of the main dashcam screen. It produces its own file that is separate from the file the main dashcam produces when you download it to your computer. Overall very pleased. Only downside is that it connects into the dashcam using a separate connector from the main power/mount so you have to disconnect the rear camera prior to removing the dashcam from the vehicle. It would have been a nicer (and cleaner) design if the rear camera plugged into the windshield mount (like the power does) so that installation and removal of the dashcam was cleaner. Use of the rear camera cuts the capacity of your memory card in (by 1/2 I believe) - this is not an issue but just something to be aware of if you install it.

I now have owned a NextBase 622gw for almost a year now. Been on several road trips and I must say I still like the camera. Clear picture, easy to setup. I purchased the camera, the rear facing camera and a cable so that I could hook the camera directly to car power. With constant power, the camera has additional features while you are parked. I decided to only use power while the ignition was on because running the power cable directly to the fuse box was more than I wanted to tackle. I have a Lexus RX350 and found “Dongar Technologies” sells an adapter to tap into the power to my rearview mirror. Easy to install in a few minutes. No more visible cables or plugged into the cigarette lighter. Also purchase a decent micro SD card, fast write. I purchased a card V60 XCII, bit of an overkill but it works. In addition, I went to NextBase web site and purchased a couple extra double-sided mounts to stick to the glass. While they hold to the glass very well, they do not do so good with the plastic mount, started to separate in the Texas sun. I use a Windows PC, the application from NextBase is decent and easily to use. Nice to see the data shown when you play the videos on your PC, speed (forces applied during acceleration, braking, left and right turn) plus a map of where you are driving. The phone app (iPhone in my case) is easy to use and connect to the device. I can download selected videos to my phone if needed. The video quality is pretty good, pleased with day and night. It is a bit pricey, but I have found it performs much better than the less expensive cameras. Still one day would like to run the cable to constant power.

Great addition to my 622GW. Easy to install as you just have to run cable from rear of vehicle to front and plug into the 622. Image quality is very good as is the viewing angle. Now front and rear are covered! Highly recommend.

Next base have some of the best cameras this rear camera and the front view camera are just amazing save me in an insurance issue when a car hit my rearview. Highly recommend good for day and night the clarity is superb. Highly recommend

Nice camera works fine no problems good piture quality is good was easy to run wire and wire long enough to put it in a good location in rear window nice small and compact and easy to install . Simple to setup dont have anything else to say about this camera nice and works I have no more works to tell you how much I like the rear camera

Very easy to install, just plug and run the wire to the rear. Has a long cable so you have plenty of wire to reach the back. Image is crystal clear. No set up necessary, will automatically connect with ur existing front camera.

I like the resolution and works really well as a unit along with 622G. One thing that stands out is that there is no subscription fees, just insert a sd card and you are done.

Great camera, great quality video and fairly easy to use. Cons: Battery is garbage. Camera overheats from time to time.

Great little camera, works seamlessly with the main Dashcam (522GW). Simple to run the cables and push them into an existing plastic cable covers area or under the carpet. Video quality is good and the magnetic connector is surprisingly strong. Cable was more than long enough to run from the dashcam, all the way to the rear window of my F150.

I am using this rear camera with my 422GW and it connected and began recording just by plugging it in. I have an F150 and it had plenty of cord to reach my rear window and I really like the way it connects to the window. The mount sticks to the window and the camera sticks to the mount with a magnet, so you can swivel however you need to. I have a sliding rear window so needed to mount the camera to one side of the rear window but with the swivel and wide view, I was able to turn it to almost center the recording behind the truck. Its a little spendy, but it does what its supposed to.
