Initially this seemed like a great coffee maker with interesting features. However, we never use the extra features and just make a basic pot of coffee. We also seem to need to clean the system fairly frequently.

I really wanted to love this. It has great features- different types of brews, cup sizes ranging from small single to an entire pot, and even has a frother. The problem is that it brews cloudy, sometimes bitter coffee! After Googling, it seems this is a common problem but there's no actual fix for it. I've swapped the reusable filter for paper and that doesn't even make much of a difference. The coffee usually tastes ok, but occasionally it will have a bitter flavor. But it always looks cloudy, and leaves a fine chalky texture in your mouth which is really a turn off. I'd suggest researching this product and alternative products before making a purchase.

We bought this coffee pot and began using it. Less than a month went buy and the machine started to malfunction. It would not brew for more than a few seconds before shutting off. Not only was it a faulty product but when we called Ninja. They told us we would have to pay 20.00 to ship a replacement part-and that’s with a one year warranty on the product. I asked them if this happened again would we have to pay shipping again. The answer is yes. Don’t Buy unless your willing to pay endless shipping fees for a product that doesn’t work. The irony here is that Best Buy shipped us our initial coffee pot free of charge.

So this Ninja bar, fits perfectly on our standard counter. Brews a pot of coffee in just a few minutes, single cups even quicker. Cone style filter, that can be used WITH or WITHOUT paper filters. Use ALL types of ground coffee... so the sky is the limit. From just a traditional Folgers, to an exotic bean that you self blended. No pods to waste, no Pods to keep around in a clunky drawer or storage bin. Several options to change how much you want to make. Also has a milk steamer as well (haven't tried it yet, but it is there, and conveniently stores away). Don't want a Pod system, or can't decide WHICH pod system? Well don't worry about it with this, as this uses the same ground coffee we have been using for our entire lifetimes.

Happy in general but 4-5 times a week the machine keeps beeping and stops the coffee making process. I checked the manual it says that the beeping sound means that the dripping dial in in the off position, which is not true. Not sure why it does this.
