A Stylish, Consistent Cup of Coffee

The Ninja Coffee Bar 10-Cup Coffeemaker is the a stylish appliance that makes an amazing cup of coffee. I have enjoyed other Ninja Coffeemakers, but they tend to make a single cup at a time. The Ninja Coffee Bar 10-Cup Coffeemaker, as the name implies, makes up to 10 cups of coffee at a time. This is perfect, as I drink about 2 pots of coffee per day. The water reservoir and the coffee scoop ensure you get a consistent coffee experience by regulating the amount of coffee grinds and water used in each cup. Combine this with Ninja's Thermal Flavor Extraction methods and pre-infusion, and you've got excellent coffee, every time. The built-in frother is also a welcomed feature, as it is not only very sturdy and easy to use, but it is easy to clean, snapping off for easy washing. If you love coffee, then this is the coffeemaker for you.

Broke after six months of use. Cleaned and maintained it so this was disappointing. Customer service were rude.

I guess it's my fault for not looking more into this, but this does not actually steam milk which is a bummer. Coffee taste gross and it brews slowly

The unit is not user friendly, too many steps to make a cup of coffee. I wasn't very impressed with the taste either. Returned the unit after a 30 day trial.

Opening the box and unpacking the unit was a breeze. Everything has a place, ie the scoop on the side of the unit. You remove quite a few pieces of tape and warning stickers and plug the unit in. I trimmed one warning sticker and placed it on top of the unit. The steam can be scalding and the warning is stamped in the black plastic making it blend in. The sticker will hopefully stop anyone from placing their hand on top of the hot unit. So not reading the manual, I figured run a pot of clear water through the unit since it was new. As it was brewing, I read the instructions which said to run 2 clean cycles before brewing the first pot. Okay, when this brew is over, I can do that. Nope, you need to start with a cool unit so I wait for it to cool down and then fire up the clean setting. I then see that it takes 1 hour for the clean function to complete. Then another 8 minutes for the flush to finish with another full tank of water. Let cool and repeat. In my case, the 2nd one was done the next day...so much for trying out a cup. Which brings me to the present. I finished the second cleaning and flush. With the unit finally ready for brewing, I set out to make a flat white. Seems easy enough from the recipe book...and it was. I put down the mug tray, which folds down when not using the carafe and on specialty setting it brewed 4oz. I thought it wasn't going to work at first, but it kicked in about 30-45 seconds after I hit the button. I microwaved a 1/2 cup of milk and whipped it with the attachment (which locks with a quarter turn, making for easy cleanup) and combined the two. I added the whip and although not part of the recipe, a spoonful of creamer. This is the first cup of coffee in my life that I've drank without any sweetener. It was so good, I thought about another cup, but I think I'll just savor the first experience. Now on to try the other recipes...I'm going to need to make a store run for ingredients. This probably won't take the place of my mini Keurig, but it's not really a daily coffee maker. It's something much more enjoyable.

Am I ready to ditch my Keurig?

I couldn't wait to get this set up at home and run it through its paces! However, I followed the instructions and ran it through two cleaning cycles before using it. Cleaning cycles, wow! Very impressive. And it takes an hour to run through cleaning. I am kinda eager to see how effective cleaning is after I've had a chance to muck it up with hard water. So -- one major advantage I noticed right away compared to my Keurig -- hot water!!! I can simply remove the filter and make a cup of hot water for tea or whatever. Also -- I can make a whole pot of coffee! This produces way less waste than the Keurig does; no more of those environmentally-irresponsible pods to deal with. Now if only someone would come up with single-serve filter packets, like what you get in hotel rooms, that would be awesome. It would be great to be able to brew a cup of coffee and just toss the pod in your compost bin. Single-cup brewing -- it is much slower than the Keurig and then I have to deal with cleaning up the grounds, but eventually I think I'll switch to it. I'm relieved that the machine fits on my counter below the wall cabinets. The Keurig fits there, but there's not enough clearance to load a pod. It would be awesome if the water reservoir pulled off sideways instead of up so that it wouldn't have any low clearance issues. The real bonus with this rig is the frother! Wow, now I can make my own lattes and cappuccinos. It's easy to use, and it removes for easy cleaning. I'm very happy with this! When there is a really quick and easy way to do single-cups, or if I just get a bit less lazy, that Keurig will be history.

    Expensive Junk

I have only had this for a couple of months and it WILL NOT brew coffee. Im not talking anything complicated, just plain black coffee. It stops after about 3/4 of an inch. If i try to run the hour long clean cycle, it runs for abount ten seconds and then beeps and stops. This is the most expensive coffee maker i have ever purchased and the one that lasted the least amount of time. How Frustrating!!!!!!!!!

Stopped working after a year and a half!!!!!!!!!! Do NOT purchase any Ninja products. Crappy warranty, products do not last. This Ninja - Coffee Bar 10-Cup Coffee Maker - Black/Stainless had a blockage (like many others reported on the web) that caused it to stop working. This product was not cheap either. Simple applicances should last more that one year and five months.

After having issues with my single-use coffee pod machine, I took a look at the Ninja. This is a pretty awesome coffee station. It handles small individual cups up to a full pot of coffee quickly and cleanly. No little pods, no paper filters. Frother works pretty good too, however it's ONLY a frother, you must warm the milk first before frothing. My only "criticism" of this unit. Really love the recipe book that's included. It's really a nice collection of tasty drinks.

Not the greatest product by Ninja. Last one lasted only 27 days before the beep of death claimed it. Number 2 lasted roughly 37 days. First one lasted 6 months and then turned into a water feature (leaked water all over the kitchen counter).

Awful coffee maker. We did everything to clean it and keep it running well and it died this week after barely 5 months of moderate use (maybe a couple times a week). We got the 5 beeps of death, which is apparently pretty common for this item. Save your money, this isn’t worth it.

We bough this and within 6 months it stopped brewing full cycles. We have to push the start brew button numerous times just to brew a single cup of coffee. When we contacted the manufacturer, they were not helpful. This is one purchase we regret.
