Coffee made (more or less) complicated
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Ninja Coffee Bar looks like an eyeful. It has most of the bells and whistles you'd expect from a coffee creator of this caliber: large 50 oz. glass carafe; parts that are easy to disassemble and clean; an efficient, minimal step-by-step process; and even a robust coffee recipe book. While it is surprisingly missing one major facet of your morning coffee routine, the Ninja Coffee Bar is an impressive machine overall. I liked the little things. The button placement is sensible, from the clear displays, to the drip stopper, to the coffee size dial. The milk frother, if you like that sort of thing, slides easily behind the machine. The reusable filter is a plus, but it also gives you the option to use throwaways if that's your jam. Even the coffee scoop is attachable, sensibly placed on the machine, and contains simple scooping instructions for the coffee novice. The machine gives you options to make coffee at a variety of temperatures, and a full pot of coffee will take 3-4 minutes tops depending on the desired temperature. And speaking of time, the self-cleaning process is a nice touch, but it took longer than I had expected. Plan to perform maintenance at night or at times you don't desire a cup. The one major disappointment I found was the lack of a coffee bean grinder, which is shocking from a Ninja brand popularized by its blender line. It's more surprising than disappointing, I suppose, as the features of the Ninja Coffee Bar more than make up for its one deficiency. Coffee connoisseurs will enjoy the variety of functions and recipes the machine provides, while coffee tourists will like the single-serving styles and simple choices. The best feature of the Ninja Coffee Bar is that it has a little something for everyone. Full disclosure, I received this product for my honest, unbiased review.

Don’t buy!!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Do yourself a favor and don’t buy this unit. Twice I’ve had to return it because it malfunctions. After about two or three months of use, the unit stops brewing coffee after 15 seconds. Thank God for Geek Squad Protection!

Great Coffee. So many features
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this machine. It has all of the features that you can ever need. A slight learning curve though but it does everything. Even tells you when it needs to be cleaned. It brews excellent coffee. You can program so many things with this.

Awesome Coffee Maker!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had a Mr. Coffee coffee maker before I received the10 cup Ninja Coffee Bar. I was thinking of purchasing a Keurig, but I'm very happy that I didn't. I can use regular or special coffees and not worry about the price of k-cups. The frother on the side of the machine is just awesome. It froths in about a minute or two, depends on how much milk or cream is used. I also like the fact that it makes a single cup, xl cup, travel cup, half carafe or whole carafe of coffee. My Yeti is a 30 ounce and I use the travel cup setting to fill it. It doesn't completly fill the Yeti and that's ok for me. Overall I love this Ninja 10 cup Coffee Bar! Highly recommend.

Top Notch Coffee System
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Everything about this coffee maker is top notch; no more K Cups, no bitter coffee taste, and so many options, including a frothier! Its so easy to make a small cup, giant cup, 1/2 carafe or full carafe, and it even has an attached coffee scoop and included gold reusable filter! Don't even think about wasting your money on another Keurig machine, with its overpriced k cups, and bitter aftertaste...this is the way to go!

Lives up to the hype
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After 15 years of dedicated service, my beloved old coffee maker finally bit the dust, forcing me to find a replacement. I tried two or three, including the updated model of my old one, and was displeased with them all. Enter the Ninja Coffee Bar. From the unboxing to the first pot to several weeks of use, I continue to be impressed. Here's my impressions: Initial setup is easy and intuitive. The instructions recommend you run two complete cleaning cycles before brewing the first pot of coffee. The cleaning cycle is automatic, requiring only the touch of a button. It does take over an hour to run, so be sure to allot for that if you are in a hurry for a cup of Joe. (This isn't explained in the instructions very well.) After cleaning, just fill the removable water tank, swing out the basket, use the included and attached scoop to measure your desired amount of grounds (it only took a couple of trial pots to get the strength and flavor I like), press a button and wait a few short minutes for coffee-house style bliss. Unlike every coffee maker I've ever owned, the Ninja made a great cup from the very first pot. Most have a weak flavor or off-taste until they get seasoned. Not so with the Ninja. It just makes good coffee. I have only tried a couple of specialty coffees and it's quite obvious I'm not cut out to be a barista like Sofia Vergara is in the commercials. The flavor was excellent, but the presentation was a bit lacking. I attribute this totally to user error/impatience as I had a friend come over and made the best looking layered drink I'd ever seen from a home brewer. The built-in frother is easy to use, easy to clean and quickly stores away. The ability to brew directly into a cup is a great feature. No pods, special filters or attachment changes required. A simple and intuitive turn of a knob and/or press of a button changes the brew size anywhere from espresso to full carafe. Super easy to use, the buttons and knob are decently sized and well-marked. The Ninja's design aesthetic is bold and edgy without being over-the-top. (The unit is tall but it fits under a standard wall cabinet. The water tank requires very little space to remove and replace, but consider this if space is at a premium in your kitchen.) It is simple to use, as a coffee maker should be, belying it's advanced abilities. All in all, I've been quite impressed and would definitely recommend. Even if you don't do specialty coffees, layered beverages, etc., the Ninja Coffee Bar is still worth a look because it just makes a great cup of coffee. Give it a try and I'm confident you won't be disappointed. Note: This coffee maker uses cone filters instead of the basket-type, so if you don't already have them, be sure to pick some up. (It does come with a permanent filter if you like that sort of thing, but I have personally never enjoyed using them.)
