Initially i bought the Ninja model that was on sale only to find out it had no attachments! I went to the Ninja website and looked for which model fits the attachments I was buying separately. This one fit and I am very pleased with it. I have had no problems with the thing. Plus Bestbuy was really great about swapping out models.

I finally had it with my Oster blender from Walmart since it couldn't handle crushing frozen fruit or ice. The ninja makes it look easy. I mostly use the single serve cups which is an awesome idea. I put frozen fruit, Greek yogurt, milk and some protein powder in and the ninja goes to work effortlessly. I have only used the big container a few times. I think I would rather of had a smaller blender vase ( the xl is huge!), but it will creameate anything you put in. Worth the money!

I highly recommend this blender. I have owned it for several weeks now and have yet to be disappointe. It is great for my morning smoothies or as a food processor when I want to make things like homemade salsa. It's fast, it's easy, and it works perfectl. I would recommend this blender to anyone looking for a reliable purchase.

This is by far the best blender I've ever owned. It easily blends large amounts perfectly in seconds and is so easy to clean. I use it to make large amounts of smoothies, soups and of course margaritas. It easily chops through ice and frozen fruit alike. And you are not left with lots of lumps in your finished product. It definitely lives up to the hype.

I was looking for a blender that really could crush ice with out having to nurse it. Very surprised at what this blender can do. Carving blade sharp cutters destroy ice cubes in less than seconds. Great for smoothies and other adult beverages! Can do anything you want it to do and cleans up really fast too. Will never go back to a cheapy again.

The Ninja is a blender and food chopper. It's a very good blender, and a fairly decent food chopper.
What the Ninja ISN'T:
IT IS NOT A JUICER. It will liquify fruits and vegetables to a drinkable state, but it does not remove the pulp. If you want true juice with no pulp (such as carrot juice and not pureed carrots), buy a juicer. Like the Vitamix, the Ninja can create "juice", but it is from the whole food and will contain pulp and possibly small chunks of food (especially hard foods like carrots).
IT IS NOT A FOOD PROCESSOR. It can be used as a food chopper, but it does not replace a food processor. It does not slice or shred, it only chops and blends. If you want to use it for chopping onion, making salsa, guacamole, pesto, sauces, etc., it should work fine. If you don't need a product to slice vegetables, or shred cheese or veggies, this may work OK as a substitute for a food processor.
IT IS NOT A VITAMIX. It may not blend quite as smoothly. It will not heat foods as it blends, so it won't make hot soup in the blender container. It doesn't have a tamper, so you may have to scrape down the sides of the blender, and you probably would want to cut whole fruit like apples into halves or quarters instead of tossing them in whole. However, the Ninja will do a pretty decent job for a lot less - probably better than most blenders. I didn't think the extra price for a Vitamix was worth it for my needs, but if you really want a Vitamix, get one.
It does come with attachments for bread dough and soft doughs (like cookie dough), but I haven't used them, so don't know how well they work.
--- Why buy a Ninja instead of a standard blender? ---
The ice crushing ability is much better than any home blender I've ever used, including my Kitchenaid that was nearly twice the price. If you want to make snow cones, slushy drinks (frozen Margaritas, Pina Coladas, etc.), or have any other need for snow-like ice, it works quite well. Do not expect it to turn out the same kind of smooth, consistent product as a commercial blender - there will probably be a few chunkier pieces left, but it does pretty well.
The multi-blade shaft works a bit better for pureeing frozen fruit than my previous blenders. All of them left a few chunky pieces of frozen fruit when I made fruit smoothies. I don't have that problem with the Ninja - it even works well on large frozen strawberries. However, be aware that a typical blender with the blades on the bottom will create a vortex that sucks the food items down from the top. The Ninja's blades work more like a food processor, which throws the food sideways against the sides of the bowl. It may not mix thick purees or very slushy drinks quite as well, and you may need to scrape the sides of the bowl.
The Ninja comes with a dough hook and dough paddles, which allow you to use it as sort of a mixer.
BOTTOM LINE: If you rarely need to turn ice into snow, blend chunks of frozen fruit, or use the food chopper ability or dough attachments, a less expensive blender is all you need. If your primary use is to make slushy bar drinks (frozen Margaritas, etc.), a commercial bar blender may give better results. If you want to frequently process whole fruit and vegetables, make nut butters, etc., and get the smoothest result, you may be better off with a Vitamix. But the Ninja is a very good choice if you want more powerful chopping ability than a blender, but don't really need (or can't afford) a Vitamix. It was perfect for my needs: frozen fruit smoothies on a daily basis, and occasionally making frozen drinks, or pureeing soups/sauces,

This blender is powerful. Easy to clean and assemble. You never have to deal with the traditional blender bottom residue, and a leaky blender compartment. It is easy to keep clean. It comes with rubber suction cups which keep it from moving and in place, making it easy to walk away and leave it blending. The multiple sharp blades work well just watch out when you take them out to clean them. The blades are super sharp. The blender container is easy to assemble and I like the safety features it comes with. The blender won't start unless the container is decided properly and the lid is closed in it's respective position. I have had two models of this blender which I have used in the last 6 months, they both have held up well so far. I don't know what the wear and tear will be in the long run on the main lid and I don't know if they are replacements out there in the market just for that specific part. This could be a concern in the long run for a faulty lid or broken lid would not allow the blender to work. I would assume that it is just a matter of doing a little research. I would definitely recommend this product to family and friends.

I was at first skeptical when I saw the infomercials and reviews. This thing is very powerful. Works great for making smoothies. Be careful when washing the blades, they are VERY sharp. The blender cuts threw ice cubes like nothing. I highly recommend this.

I chose this blender because it came with the 2 single serve cups. The motor is amazing. It is a little loud, but that doesn't bother me. The main blender container crushes anything you throw in there. I made a kale puree to freeze and use in my shakes, and it was as smooth as can be. Pina Coladas were as good as any restaurant quality. I also have used the single serve cups for smoothies. It has blended everything beautifully, except pomegranate seeds. They are pretty well broken up, but you still get a little bit of bite. Easy solution is to use pomegranate juice instead of the seeds. Everything else I have put in there has been silky smooth. Considering I got a discount, earn best buy reward points, and didn't have to pay for shipping, I think I got a great deal. There are smaller motors on the market for pretty much the same price, so why not pay the same and get a great motor? I've been recommending this blender to everyone. The only negative I have found is that when I put the main blender container in the dishwasher, the water collects in the upturned bottom. I just turn the container upright and give it a quick rinse and it's clean. That one negative isn't enough to make me love this blender any less than I do.

I bought this blender to start my smoothie diet. I Love IT! It blends to the perfect consistency. I love how quick n easy it is to make a smoothie. I am always running late out the door in the morning to beat traffic so this blender is perfect for me. Every morning i take the personal cups, dump in my veggies, fresh or frozen fruit with a splash of all natural juice or water, screw on the blade top n blend for about 20 seconds n voila'!!! I screw on the drinking top n out the door i go! The only bad thing is that sometimes the amount that fits in the personal cup is small because of the blade. If you fill it up to the MAX LINE it will blend n u end up with about half a cup so I sometimes add more fruit n veggies half way through. Another bad thing for me is that with the personal cups it only allows u to blend by holding down the blend button, as soon as you let go it stops. It would be more convenient to be able to press and walk away to the fridge and put the fruits n veggies away, and come back to a a smooth drink. Same on the big blender, the blades are so big fruits n veggies get stuck on top of the blades that u will have to blend first to add more. Other than those minor setbacks, I love it and its well worth the price. I used to pay about $6 for Jamba Juice and now i drink about 2-3 smoothies at home for free. Really pays for itself over a short period of time. Great way to drink your not so great "green" veggies. Even my 4 year old daughter drinks them and says they are delicious!! Can't even taste the veggies! Definitely recommend the Ninja blender!

This blender was exactly what I needed for blending and making smoothies. If you plan on doing both, please do not waste your time making a $50.00 blender do the job. After doing several searches online, this blender kept coming up in the top 3 and I can see why and is worth the purchase.

My wife and I make morning smoothies and the 15 year old flower-adorned hand-me-down blender we were using just wasn't cutting it anymore. Pun intended. It was making our smoothies more like thickies or chunkies. We knew we needed something more powerful but didn't want to spend a fortune on a top end blender. We found this little gem and it's been wonderful. The single serving blend cups are absolutely perfect for what we need. It makes very fiberous foods have a very smooth consistency in less than 30 seconds. The only thing i don't care for is that it is very loud. When I have a day off and my wife makes a smoothie at 5:45am, it's not the most pleasant sound to hear when still staring at the back of my eyelids. If that's my only complaint, you know this product is pretty darn good. I would recommend this thing to anyone looking for a new blender. It's worth every penny.

I had the Magic Bullet which I love for making smoothies, however there are times I'd like to make something more than one serving, or blend a bunch of greens to freeze in ice cube trays. The Ninja is perfect, as it has the single serve cups and the large pitcher. My old cheap blender couldn't make a smoothie to save it's life (which is why it went to Goodwill!). I still have the Magic Bullet, but it's probably going to my sister to replace their generic one that doesn't perform as well.
The Ninja not only works great, but it's easy to operate and clean as well!
Sure, I'd have loved a VitaMix, but couldn't imagine spending several hundreds of dollars on one when the Ninja works perfectly for what I need at a very reasonable price.
