The NIU 200P KQI scooter is a great scooter for commuters or students, or for those just looking to get around. The build quality is very impressive and durable for daily use. I have no doubt this scooter will last a long time. The scooter comes pretty much assembled, other than a few screws and 10 minutes of your time. A full charge takes about 5 hours. Depending on your weight, real world distance for someone like me at 170lbs is around 25 miles or so between charges. The acceleration is very nice at full battery, but slows with less battery. I’m sure this is to save power. The scooter slows exponentially when under 10 percent battery left as do all scooters. The lighting on the scooter is very bright, headlight and brake lights are perfect for safety, day or night. The scooter breaks down very easily with a button in the lower handlebar, and folds and locks so it can be carried (about 40 lbs.) and put into a hatch or trunk. I was able to put mine in a Ford focus without issue. The handle bar has a small bell ringer on the left/brake side. The right side has turn signal controls. The light on each side for the signal is bright and tone alert loud. I loaned mine to my daughter, who is a college student. Now she wants one. It was much better than her current scooter. The handle bar has a nice hook that can be used to attach a lock. As I previously mentioned, the acceleration is very nice. The torque when taking off, or just increasing your speed when needed is instantaneous. The rear 700W motor is more than enough for this unit. The brakes are nice and are not grabby or extremely sensitive. It won’t throw you over the handle bars when full brake is applied. The rear brake is a regenerative brake. This happens when you let off the accelerator as the unit slows down, the battery receives a small charge. The tubeless tires are just right for this size of scooter. They along with the dual front shocks offer great stability when addressing rough roads or bumps. The deck is just perfect for my 9.5 size shoes but may be an issue with those who have larger feet. The app is great for this unit. I had my daughter try to pair her phone with the scooter after my phone was paired. She was unable to pair unless she would send in proof of purchase to the manufacture in order to pair it. I love this as not everyone can pair it and take off with it. Speaking of the app, it shows battery strength percentage, miles traveled, any faults, and location (only if you and scooter are in same location). You can tweak the settings to show mph or km. Also record your rides to show distance and speed. Daytime running light can be turned on or off, or turn both daytime and night light on. For security you can set alarm, and if the bike is moved 1 foot, the alarm and lights flash until turned off in app. The location of the bike and you are tracked if you turn on locations. But does not track scooter if it is stolen. You might find a conspicuous area for a “tag” if you require this, which is a great idea. The handle bar has a small bell ringer on the left/brake side. The right side has turn signal controls. The light on each side for the signal is bright and tone alert loud. I would recommend this to friends and family.

This was so simple to setup, literally took minutes. Most of it was assembled already, we just snapped the handlebars in and tightened it with the screws & wrench that was provided. Also included is a nozzle adapter for inflating the tires. The inflatable tires give it a smoother ride. The throttle is on the handlebars & is easy to use. I found that my arm was getting a little sore after awhile so I turned the auto cruise feature on, I highly recommend using it because after 5 seconds at the same speed it kicks in & you can let go of the throttle, this is on till you brake. The brakes are front drum & rear ebrake . I think disc brakes would be better but it stops well & it has regenerative braking which controls deceleration & can be set in the app. There is only one brake caliper. I like the turn signals which are bright & beep but sometimes they’re a little hard to turn off without turning the other one on. You can set what speed you want to kick start at, I have mine at 2mph. This can be turned off in the app but I’m keeping it on so the scooter doesn’t get away from me. This collapses for storage & the handlebars also fold down. It’s not a light scooter, it’s quite heavy, at least to me, I’m a small person. It goes well in grass & on slight inclines. There is a bright LED headlight with daytime running & a taillight. A small bell is on handlebars . Maximum speed is 18.6mph, I haven’t worked up to that yet, I’m at 15 mph. There is an app which is a must & the scooter must be on to customize it. There you can change from kilometers to miles, however the scooter itself still reads km. The app shows you how many miles you have left on your charge, you can set an alarm, it shows your riding data and you can also set your lighting, preferences, cruise control, customize your ride to kickstart limit, battery charge limit, and maximum speed. This is a real fun, smooth ride, easy to set up & use. Go have fun & ride one!

Summary: The NIU - Kqi 200P is great full featured electric scooter that is fun to use. Setup: The scooter comes well secured and is almost fully assembled. The box (and scooter itself) is a little heavier than I expected, so you may want some help with a second person to unbox. After removing the scooter from the box you need to attach and secure the handlebars to the base using the enclosed hex bolts. Before using the scooter, I fully charged it overnight. NIU App: After downloading the NIU app and creating an account, you will connect the scooter via a Bluetooth connection. Once connected, you can customize some of the settings of the scooter. This includes Start Speed: How fast you need to manually push the scooter before the motor can activate, Regeneration breaking: how much the scooter will slow down if the accelerator is not active, and Dynamic Mode: acceleration characteristics. There is also a way to lock and unlock the scooter. Riding experience: This was my first experience with an eclectic scooter, so I had a little bit of a learning curve on the first few attempts to ride. However, after a few tries I was able to get a hang of how to properly stand and balance on it. I like the scooter needs to be moving at a min speed before the motor kicks in, to ensure it doesn’t accidently turn on. I do like that the scooter has shocks on it. It made for a smooth ride going over speed humps and cracks in sidewalks. One note is that I do think they should have some kind of safety string that will shut off the motor in case you step off the scooter and don’t let off the accelerator. Storage: The scooter can conveniently fold down to make it easier for storage and transport. You just need to be aware that the scooter is on the heavier side and may be difficult for some to pick up and carry.

The uptick in electric rideables has been really fun, and in particular E-Scooters fit a great space in piece ultra portable but with speed and durability. The NIU Kqi 200P is an excellent example of this showcasing how a scooter can be so much more than you might think. PROS: - Unboxing this, this scooter is really beautifully made. It’s sleek, elegant, modern, and looks like a scooter that is made from great materials. Just nice to know it doesn’t feel cheap or look cheap! - Once setup, this is a treat to use! It’s simple and straight forward. It gets up and goes really fast I was quite surprised by the acceleration factor! Its top speed is just short of 20 mph and it gets there real quick! - The ride itself is very smooth, it has top notch suspension along with steel frame to provide that ultra sturdy material. I felt like it handled both the roads, sidewalks, and dirt paths very well! - The range on this is awesome too, not only can it go fast but it can last for 33 miles which is great that I do not need to worry about charging it all the time. - Some other things I really like are the headlight and brake light and even turn signals!! Really nice touches. CONS: - My only con is that this is only rated to take on hills at a 20% incline. I know thats still pretty good but I would have liked something slightly better for hills. BOTTOM LINE: - I can’t say enough good things about this NIU electric scooter. It looks amazing and is made of really high quality material. It’s fast and zips around super quick along with a fantastic range. And it’s packed with great features like high end brakes, lights and turn signals, and app connectivity. This NIU scooter provides a great blend of versatility along with durability and speed. It’s an excellent companion for essential travel or just for fun, and its going to be a fun time for all owners!

For those in search of an electric scooter that offers a decent blend of performance, comfort, and conveniences, this NIU Kqi 200P may be the ideal choice. The scooter is designed for smooth and dependable commuting. With a max speed of 19.5 mph, the Kqi 200P provides a sufficient level of speed for getting around quickly. The dual-tube suspension is particularly noteworthy, effectively absorbing imperfections in the road surface. A significant advantage is the 25-mile maximum range of travel. While I never got exactly this amount, given my usage contingent on the terrain and riding habits, I generally noticed being able to achieve at least a 20-mile range on a single charge. The charging process is uncomplicated; the battery seems to maintain performance after numerous cycles. The scooter feels robust and well-constructed, featuring a sturdy frame. Its foldable design facilitates easy transport and storage. The regenerative braking feature guarantees prompt and effective stopping. I own several E-bikes, one of which is a NIU, and after seeing the rental scooters zip around Pittsburgh. I wanted one for short trips and bike trails near me. I am impressed and surprised at how fun these faster electric scooters are. While substantially more attention must be given during higher speeds. It is not hard to see why scooters ended up everywhere in major urban locales. The NIU Kqi 200P might be a great fit for you. Read on to know more about my first week zipping around. First off, the 200P has a 1/8th of a mile safety mode (max speed 9mph) you have to ride through to get the scooter fully unlocked to use all it's features and speed. Nice for us new guys. Just something to know if you start running through the apps settings prior to the break in ride. 10MPH: Riding the scooter is a complete blast. My wife and friends all took turns and surprisingly, we all survived without incident. It is very easy to ride and just kinda feels natural. Anything under 10mph is not scary and small inclines and uneven road or sidewalks is manageable. I really don't think the suspension shocks are doing much and most of the time I could never even get it to compress. Not sure how stiff it is meant to be, but it does not seem adjustable and may be locked on my scooter. Manual does not mention any adjustments. The tires at full pressure are also not adding much comfort to the ride for me as an older adult. At slower speeds, this will not be a major issue. You also get the most milage at the slower speed as mentioned in the manual. Max Speed: Faster speeds add to the excitement of the ride. Full speed runs up and down gentle hills will drain the battery pretty quick and the recharge time is pretty long with the small laptop style charger that is included. I went about 10 - 12 miles on a paved bike trail and was down to 2 bars from full. And I really don't think if the battery died you could "kick" ride this back. Its like having one foot on the sidewalk/curb and the other in the street/gutter. Riding at 18-19MPH maxed out is fun. I quickly noticed you CAN'T safely ride with one hand (as mentioned in the manual). A bug got in my face and I tried to brush it away and instantly knew to get both hands back on the grips. Good idea to buy a helmet with this or any scooter if you do not have one. Brakes: Good for lower speeds and gets the job done reliably. At higher speeds you will wish for a bit more. Just be ready to lean back a little when you apply them. The brakes are only on the front wheel. Panic stops would result in what my mom would say, "Butt Over Tea Kettle", if not careful. It does have a setting to turn regen braking up and that may be a helpful option. Check your brakes before longer trips. Hills: Yes, it will go up a hill and it can do it at max speed. Just know hills in Kansas are more doable than hills in San Francisco. Gentle slopes, like many trails that once had trains and are now paved over will be easy for the 200P. Tech: The NIU app is feature rich and allows you to lock and alarm the scooter(sounds like an alarm clock, not very loud outside) as well as track travel. Since I did not have a phone holder for the scooter, my flagship phone did not log my rides in app while in my pocket. I have not had an issue when on bikes or in vehicles, but this app requires line of sight with the sky I guess. There is a mini screen on the handlebars and speed is about the only stat you get. Would have been nice to have battery percentage instead of just bars. Then the other feature on the handlebars is the turn signals and the nice little ding bell. The turn signals are a nice add on. Yet for me, my hands cover the lights on the grips so less visible unless at night. The head and tail lights are very good and visible anytime of day. There is also cruise control in the app. Gripes: Day 2 of riding this around and the stickers are starting to fall off the deck. These stickers contain serial numbers and other manufacture info. These will likely be lost at some point. Also not sure how you lock this up if grabbing a bite or going into a store. A metal lock loop might have been nice in addition to the electronic lock app feature. At 50'ish pounds. It can be carried away pretty easy. Final Thoughts: It may seem like too many negatives above, but it is just how I see the reality of this scooter. It is a complete blast to ride, but it does require far more attention to not end up on your face. The tiny wheels do feel every road imperfection. I rode paved trails and when the surface got rough at max speed, my eyeballs bounced. Highly recommend crash equipment for anyone riding this on a street at speed. You will have fun, but the characteristics of scooters will spice up the ride.

I've been having a blast commuting everywhere around town with the new NIU KQi200P. The riding experience is phenomenal. Aside from a small quirk with the app, I've had a near flawless experience with this e-scooter. I'm really impressed by the overall build quality. It's frame is constructed of metal while other components are made of premium quality plastic (such as the deck and wheel frames). At only a little over 40lbs, I had no issues collapsing the stem of the e-scooter and carrying it around with me for short periods. I love the rear latch system that secures the stem into place when collapsed. In situations when I wanted to grab a quick bite or drink at a local pub or restaurant with an outdoor patio, I was able to quickly collapse the e-scooter and bring it indoors with me whenever I needed to use the restroom or close out a tab. The kickstand is also fully constructed of metal and does a great job stabilizing the e-scooter whether it's collapsed or standing upright. I've operated this e-scooter at night and I'm a huge fan of the halo headlamp design. The light is bright with a pretty wide beam. The rear brake light is also large and bright to ensure you're easily spotted. There's also plenty of reflective accents throughout the frame that will help you stay visible at night. While there is ample space on the deck for my 10.5 sized feet, I do wish the deck was just a tiny bit wider for an even comfier ride. Operating the e-scooter is intuitive and straight forward. Simply hold down the large power button to turn it on, short press it once to switch between modes (i.e. chill, standard, wild), short press it twice to turn on/off the headlight, and short press it three times to switch between speed units (i.e. km/h or mph). You can also short press it five times to activate pedestrian mode. Pedestrian mode is effectively a safeguard that limits the scooter to 2.5 mph in situations where you're walking it next to you. This is to avoid you accidentally pressing down the throttle. To accelerate, you simply twist down on the right handlebar grip. I love that the KQi200P has also integrated large turning blinkers on the handle bars. This was useful for me when I was in heavy traffic areas. There is a physical button module on the right handlebar that allows you to quickly press a left or right button when you need to signal taht you're about to turn. While most of the basic operating functions can be performed right on the scooter, the iOS/Android app is an absolute must have in my opinion. There are certain features that you can't enable or modify without the app. The app allows you to modify the level of regenerative braking stopping power, select if you want to sync the daytime running light (i.e. the halo) with the headlight, see an actual percentage of the remaining battery life (the handlebar module only displays bars), deactivate/activate kick-to-start, the start speed of kick-to-start, auto-cruise, battery charging limit, and see your ride data. That is a ton of features that you would otherwise miss out on without the app. The only issue I had with the app is the ride data. Whenever I finish my ride by powering off my e-scooter, my most recent ride data doesnt show up. For whatever reason, it won't show up until about a day or two has passed. I hope NIU fixes this with a firmware update. While this is a bit annoying, I didnt feel it was fair to deduct an entire point because of this. In terms of the ride experience, I could not be happier. NIU rates this e-scooter with a top speed of 19.5 mph and a max range of 33.6 miles. These specs will certainly vary depending on the riders weight and the terrain they're riding on. I'm a 185lb male and rode mainly on concrete with plenty of hills. After setting it on the fastest speed (i.e. "Wild"), I was able to max out the KQi200P at 19 mph on flat ground. However, most of the time I was only able to max it out at 18 mph. For me this is plenty fast for commuting around town. In fact, I don't even want to imagine what falling on concrete would feel like when going 30 - 40mph. Most of my ride sessions were around 12-16 miles and there was still plenty battery left (about 30-40%). While I doubt it's capable of reaching its 33.6 mile rated range while riding it on the "wild" setting, the range is plenty for getting around the city. At my stated weight, the acceleration also felt decently fast. The ride on this e-scooter is incredibly smooth and silent. NIU did a fantastic job on the dual-tube suspension. This front wheel suspension eats up all the cracks and bumps in the road to give you a really comfortable ride. For fun, I tested jumping off of several curbs and the suspension performed excellently. Because this is more of your everyday commuter e-scooter, it seems that NIU decided to outfit this scooter with smooth 10” tubeless pneumatic tires. While this is a great choice to provide a smooth ride on everyday city roads, it is not the best for terrain that includes sand, mud, or dirt. I went over some city roads that were covered in sand and noticed that the tires had a bit of a tough time maintaining their grip at faster speeds. Just something to keep in mind depending on the terrain you'll be riding in. The manual brake is very impressive! Even when topping out the e-scooter at max speed, it comes to a complete stop fairly quickly. The regenerative braking is also a great touch. I love using it if I know that I'll be riding in heavier traffic areas as it helps me with not having to use the manual brake as much. Do bear in mind, however, that the stronger the stopping power that you set the regen braking for, the more battery it will consume. Overall, I think NIU knocked it out of the park with the KQi200P. It's a fun, fast, and feature rich commuter e-scooter that provides one of the smoothest and most stable rides I've experienced on any e-scooter. It's also very well constructed. The only minor nit pick for me is the ride data not appearing immediately after a ride session. And while I do wish the tires provided a bit more grip for off-road terrain, I can't fault the KQi200p as it wasn't designed for that. If you're looking for a reliable, smooth, stylish, and stable ride on an e-scooter to get you around the city, I can't recommend the KQi200P enough!

NIU is all about making mobility very fun. Having owned their electric bike, I had some expectation what their KQi 200P Foldable Electric Kick Scooter would offer and they did not disappoint. As Packaged: • KQi 200P Foldable Electric Kick Scooter • Battery Charger • Extended Nozzle Adapter • Hexagon Wrench • MS Screws (to secure handlebar to stem) • Manual • Quick Start Guide Electric scooters have become ubiquitous as they fill a much-needed mobility option between walking and biking. The KQi 200P Foldable Electric Kick Scooter promises a nearly 34-mile range which is very generous given its formfactor. I personally like the ability to fold and stow out of sight if/when needed. At almost 54 pounds, it can get quite heavy carrying it over long distances but, hopefully, those instances should be rare. I kept the Styrofoam ring on the stem to use as a grip when I carry it, just so I do not transfer any body oil or dirt to the stem (it is a very pretty paintjob). Any fan of NIU will recognize their iconic halo headlight that can be switched off, serve as daytime running lights or produce more illumination for nighttime visibility. To make you more conspicuous especially at night there are amber reflectors on the stem of the handlebar, a white one under the front headlight and the illuminated red rear light doubles as a reflector. This scooter also has turn signals at the ends of the handlebar. To show their commitment to safety, there is an audible beep when engaged. This, in my opinion, provides the rider with options to make their presence known when passing other users on a trail for example. The dashboard (display screen) on the handlebar also depicts the direction of intended movement when the turn signals are enabled, just like a car. The display is highly visible in the sun and dips in brightness when the nighttime headlight beam is enabled, just like a car. It is able to show an equivalent of a “check engine” should there be an issue. While riding, the charge level, speed limit and mode are displayed. The turn signals are activated by pressing the corresponding directional button on the handlebar. To disengage, you simply press that button again. Pressing either directional button twice in succession is the sequence for the hazard (both blinkers enabled); repeat to turn off. You still get to use a traditional bell on the handlebar should you prefer. In addition to the dashboard, the handlebar also houses the bell, directional buttons for turn signals, throttle, brake lever and the power button which is multi-functional. NIU’s app is definitely the brains of the scooter. It provides ride statistics, battery level, route ridden (if enabled prior to a ride), odometer and battery statistics to name a few. The app is linked to the scooter via Bluetooth and it maintains constant connectivity in my experience. Should the app appear not to connect with the scooter after switching it on perhaps, I have found that tapping on the Bluetooth icon at the top lefthand side resolves the issue. NIU can also perform firmware updates to the scooter via the app. Below are some of the key features available via the app: • Unlock/Lock – Option to disable access to scooter. Scooter will not operate when enabled • Alarm – Scooter emits sound and flashes lights if movement is detected while enabled • Start Speed – Option to select at which speed the scooter responds to throttle when moving from rest for kick start operation. The kick start operation can be disabled altogether • Regenerative Braking – Option to select level of braking when throttle is released which correlates to how much energy is captured for return to battery. Low, medium, high or disabled are your options • Battery Charge Limit – Determines which level to stop charging to help promote battery longevity • Dynamic Mode – Options to set acceleration style (Chill, Standard, Wild and options in between). There is also the option to set maximum speed limit in 1mph increments from 3mph to the maximum 19mph) • Auto Cruise – When enabled, a cruising speed is set to the last speed maintained for 5 seconds. The cruising speed is disabled when the brakes are applied As previously stated, the power button activates other features depending on the sequence or number of presses: • Power on device – 1x long press • Mode switch – 1x short press (toggle between e-save/9mph max and dynamic mode set) • Headlight – 2x short press • Unit change – 3x short press to toggle between mph and kmh • Pedestrian mode – 5x short press to enable pedestrian mode/3mph max speed. 1x short press to disable While I applaud all the thought that was put into enabling access to these features/options via a single button, I would have personally preferred additional buttons perhaps next to the signal indicator buttons for items such as the headlight. Currently, I stop riding to turn on the light when needed as it requires multiple taps of the power button which could be tricky while moving, in my opinion. Setup is easy. The handlebar requires attachment to the stem via six hex screws (NIU provides a spare) and a tool to facilitate this task. The provided QR code on the dashboard helps the user download the NIU app and register. Once registered and connected, the user is shown short tutorials on the basic operation of the scooter. NIU shines again here by limiting the initial maximum speed to 9mph until about 1/8mi has been ridden or the user overrides in the app. NIU lives and breathes safety. NIU’s KQi 200P Foldable Electric Kick Scooter or the vehicle as they prefer to call it appears well-built and if my previous electric bike is anything to go by, should provide may years of issue-free use. Its front suspension and 10-inch tires provide a truly comfortable ride. It charges quickly and provides the user a peace of mind as the company ensures there are multiple redundancies that ensure safe operation of the batteries in their vehicles. With useful features such as regenerative braking, battery charging limits and the ability to receive firmware updates, this scooter should stay relevant or futureproof for a while. I recommend.

Extremely great scooter for getting to & from work. Great way to get around downtown in small areas. It’s also fairly quick & haven’t really had any issues with speed. One thing that I love about it is that it can fold up. Makes it so much easier to carry in stores if I need to & so easy to take on the train. Truly a commuters best friend.

Awesome scooter, works great for my 6 ft 5 frame, the battery lasts a long time so I can take rides of long distances. It rides smoothly and the light is awesome for at night.

Had it for about a month now. Very reliable, stable, and easy to ride. Slightly heavier than expected, so it is difficult to carry around with one hand. Fits in the trunk of a small sedan. Highly recommend this product if you ride less than 10 miles a day.

What's good with both my son it works well battery lasts and have had no problems with it

This product has met our expectations. Bought it for college student to use on campus. The app/bluetooth interface is a big plus. Speed is impressive and the being able to play with tire pressures to change ride characteristics is good. I will say battery charge/distance advertised is not quite attainable since terrain and rider weight come into affect.

I researched other scooters and decided on the NIU KQI 200P for my son to navigate his college campus. He loves it. It's been reliable, holds a good charge, a good size for his weight, and is easy for him to handle. He's had no complaints, which means I have no complaints. I recommend it.

Does everything I wanted it to do. It is great on battery life

I wanted a mid level scooter that had more power than base model...this model worked out great for me..nice wide platform..has plenty of power..i weigh 200lbs...might be a little heavy to carry up stairs or lift up into back of car or suv...
