    Retro BASIC Phone

1St of all- This is a BASIC phone! NOKIA 3310 is a retro phone that does what early cell phones were designed to do, before becoming "SMART". With this in mind, it is flawless and refreshing to own a rather simple cell phone. I purchased this as a "back up" phone for my MOTO g5+. this unlocked 3310 is a 3G phone that is GSM compatible (T-mobile, ATT and GSM MVNOs). I popped in my SIMPLE mobile SIM and it connected right away to network- no hiccups, no problems. Phone is also compatible with my previous METRO pcs SIM chip. That's the plus of having UNLOCKED cell phones, flexibility in changing cell services. Call clarity was good. screen is decent and visible. original "snake" game is colorfully updated with added game twists. FM radio is good and sounds good. includes headphones. Phone is rather lightweight. negatives are a few: buttons are rather small and crammed together, "2MP" camera is more like VGA quality, don't expect any useful photos! very limited onboard memory (good thing microSD expansion is available). preloaded junk game/Apps are non-removable. the back located speaker is not very loud at max setting. opera browser is ancient and clunky. Just keep in mind this is a PHONE, nothing more, and your expectations will satisfied.

It's more useful for the older generation who do not use or like to use smartphones. The battery charge is good for at least 5 to 7 days depending on the usage.

Thanks for your review, Aberdee. Did you try contacting T-Mobile about this? The device is fully compatible with T-Mobile so this sounds like a carrier issue. NokiaMobileprofile1

So Nokia has brought an updated version of its candybar phone to modern carrier networks. We'd wanted to get a really basic phone for our oldest kid so if something came up at an extracurricular activity they'd have a way to contact us. We didn't want a smartphone and then deal with all of the distractions and unwanted apps that come with those. Not many dumb-phones seem to exist for US carriers these days. We got the Nokia, charged it up, and realized it needed a micro-SIM - something that our local shop didn't stock so we had to go to an actual ATT store. We got some funny looks for having such a limited-functionality device, but it works fine for our needs. Call quality is good enough to make calls. Battery life is great - can be on standby for days or weeks. Texting is better than expected with the US dictionary. Type the numbers corresponding to the letters you want to type and word suggestions appear. I don't think this can be customized, but you can opt for the older T9 texting if you want. Photos - it's a 2MP camera. Good enough to capture a reminder or some basic photo, but not to replace a real camera. MP3 Player - if you add a microSD card to the phone you can use it to play MP3s as well. Nice, but we haven't tried too much there. It can do basic Twitter, Facebook, and really basic web browsing but we didn't buy it for those capabilities. Gripes: * Can't remove/hide unused apps * Wish there were a better way to add contacts - haven't found it yet if there is. * Manual is a bit limited. Had to mess around to find settings. * No Vibrate when phone is on silent. Overall - it does pretty much what we want it to do and no more. I didn't buy it to be a smartphone and don't expect it to compete with those devices. It does make calls and let you send/receive messages. It also isn't a device that's going to distract you a lot from the people around you.

Got it as a backup/nostalgia phone. Put my SIM in and it connected to T-Mobile right away. Was able to transfer my contacts from my iPhone to it via Bluetooth with no issues, and my car stereo and Sony bluetooth headphones paired with no problems as well. If you're looking for a basic backup phone, are feeling nostalgic, or just want a break from the 24/7 smartphone social media flood, this phone's calling out to you. Has a removable battery too! One TINY downside: no WIFI.

As a kid of the 90s and early 2000‘s, I had the first 3310. I have to say this is a very pleasant upgrade it. I currently carry an iPhone ex are, but sometimes I really feel like I want to unplug and also not carry around $1000 cell phone at the zoo and places like that. This thing is amazing it is so late! I actually got a second for my 10-year-old As her first cell phone. I couldn’t recommend this enough. Whether you want to go off the grid or use it as a back up especially at the price you really can’t beat it.

This Nokia 3310 3G is an upgraded retro budget cell phone that you remember back when it all started but better. For those folks that prefer a phone without the bells n' whistles that most consumers prefer nowadays, well this is it. For me it's all about simplicity!

If you want a non-smart phone, this is a great option. You will be frustrated at not being able to remove pre-installed apps & icons, and it seems like they could have landed somewhere between no features & all the features, but for the price you can't go too wrong.

    Nokia 3310 (2017)

I love the phone. It does not have a touch screen for people who are tired of touch screen. It has a large screen. Nokia 3310 comes with a head set and wall charger. You can access Facebook etc. I like that you can personalize the phone. I wish it has side buttons for volume, but it does not. But you can answer texts without unlocking the phone and even phone calls. Overall I am happy. The 3310 is easy to save numbers to block sender without leaving the call screen .

The battery on this phone really last and it's good to have as a standby phone. And since it's a quadband phone it will work worldwide. The built is okay despite being plastic and the size is small and slim.

The size, functionality, and build quality are all a great value for the price. While the 320x240 screen is a bit lo-res and not as readable off-angle, it is hard to complain.

The phone company I was with was sold and the new company didn't have plans to support my phone, so I had to give up my beloved LG 101. It's not easy finding a feature phone that's the candy bar style rather than the flip (that works in the US) and frankly this Nokia was not my first choice (I had my eye on another Nokia model), but it's the only Nokia feature phone to be sold in the US. I like this phone, it's going to take a little getting used to since some of the keys function differently then my old phone. I haven't had to make a call on it, but texting works just fine. And this phone feels massive compared to my old one. But over all it's a fine feature phone. Opera mini works ok...it will take a while to look something up but I would only use it for emergencies. If I wanted to browse on my phone, I'd use a smart phone. There are only a few problems I have with this phone: 1. no dedicated keys to control volume/ringtone volume. You have to hold down the # key to get the volume controls to show up if you aren't on a call. 2. No note line for miscellaneous information in contacts. I like putting friends' street addresses in there in case I need them for things like rides/taxis. 3. Keyguard setting does nothing. On or off it doesn't matter, you will still have to wake the phone, press unlock and then press the * to unlock. Ridiculous. 4. Icon only menu. My last phone had the choice of icons or list menu and I really prefer the list menu. I hope Nokia makes more of their feature phones available in the US and I hope more become 4G (I don't know how much longer 3G will last here).

It is hard to believe that a phone for this price can do so much. It was purchased for overseas family to use back home in Ireland. It was much cheaper than anything they could get there and had all the features they needed. They just bought a prepaid SIM card in Ireland and the phone works perfectly,

My mom needed a phone that would work with T-Mobile network. This fit the bill. In retrospect, I have no idea if this version was 2G or 3G, but I don't think they've ever made the 2G 3310s in Azure? It actually replaced an old Samsung slider(!) phone that was on its last legs after 10 years or so in use. Per mom: - It has worse camera than Samsung (which is a surprise, since this has better resolution) - It's fine - How do you change the volume on this - How do you put it on silent - Somehow this is complicated Dedicated volume button would've been nice. But all things considered, I'm glad that feature phones exist at all that isn't made by a no-name Chinese maker. (This IS made by Foxconn, but let's ignore that for a sec.) If you can still find this (given that it's now sold out at Best Buy) and you need a non-smartphone, you could do worse.
