NordicTrack rower provides a great workout. It is sturdy, smooth and quiet...and folds up easily. Price match made it a good value as well.

Great Beginning Rowing Machine

For the price, this is an amazing beginning rowing machine. I would recommend this for your average at home gym - if you are a dedicated rower training at a high performance level, save up for the Concept rower instead. I have experience using Concept Rowers, water rowers, you name it. Because of COVID, I had recently cancelled all my gym memberships and needed a rowing machine for my garage to keep me busy. My 1st choice would have been a Concept 2 Rower, but since the factory had closed I couldn't get my hands on one. I was pleasantly surprised - at a much cheaper price than a Concept Rower, this one does the job, I get my workout in and the screen has a nice spot to put my iphone to play youtube, etc. while I row. The flywheel is noisy if you are used to a Concept, but otherwise easy to get used to. It comes with a month of iFit, which honestly I will not be renewing because I'm able to design my own workouts. iFit may be good if you are new to rowing.

I wanted a rowing machine to use at home and I’m very happy with this NordicTrack RW200. Very easy to set up and use. It doesn’t have a fancy screen but I can set my iPad on the ledge and look at that. I got it when they had a special deal on Best Buy.com and it was the same price they were offering on the NordicTrack website. I was able to get it quickly with no shipping costs from Best Buy. NordicTrack direct it was back ordered and you had to pay for shipping.

Pretty solid tower. They force you to sign up for iFit, which is not required. Literally there is a sticker saying that the tower is inoperable if you don’t sign up. That’s not true.

Bought while it was on sale - building my home gym. Shipping took a while thanks to the quarantine, but that was my only issue! So far the rower has been great. Set-up was easy. Right now I’m using with the iFit trial membership, 20-30 mins a day. Not sure if I’ll keep the membership but I do enjoy the workouts. Resistance isn’t an issue right now but might be for someone more advanced. Overall, I’m happy with the purchase and the price (while on sale).

Could not activate - Inconceivable!

I'd love to write a full review about how the machine works, but I cannot activate it. "Invalid Code" was the message, I believe. I was not surprised as that seems to be the most common complaint.
I checked out YouTube for assembly videos, and was able to put it together by myself, even though the suggestion is for two people to assemble it. I only ended up with one badly scraped knuckle - I don't consider that too bad.
It appears the device can be used without ifit activation. Call 866-608-1798 and wiggle through the menu with the nice man telling you how wonderful ifit is after you choose each option and before he gives you any useful information. However, if you go through the options for the account and activation you will ultimately get an option for "if you would like to use the machine without any of the wonderful things I have made you listen to, press and hold the Bluetooth button {yada yada yada}"... Sorry, I did not write the exact instructions down - I want to try the 30 days of free stuff so I will call them again during normal business hours.
I will edit this review once I have activated it. Currently rating as Fair as I was able to assemble it without loss of any toes or fingers (yet).

Wow! We’re impressed. Way to achieve single-handed assembly of this rower equipment! Bravo! You’re going to attack these workouts and make great progress.
“Tomorrow, when I wake, or think I do, what shall I say of today?” :)
This “Invalid Code” error sounds annoying. After reaching out to member care for help with that code, it sounds like you were able to get passed it successfully? Let us know if you need further assistance with it.
We also would love to hear more about your experience with the iFIT free trial and whether you deem it worth continued membership after the free trial ends. Email us for expedited service at ce@NordicTrack.com. We appreciate your time.
Thanks - NordicTrack

When I saw that Apple Fitness had rowing, I realized I didn’t need the more recent model with the large flatscreen and interactive workouts. This fits the bill perfectly and was probably less than half price. Very easy to assemble and nice small footprint when folded.

The rower seems to be well built. Sometimes the IFIT feature takes a bit to load. This is quite frustrating in the a.m. when one is trying to get a quick workout In before work. Everything is fine now, I just wonder about the long run and the machines sustainability. Beshawn at Albany Best Buy is a friendly, and professional employee.

Nice rowing machine. Best Buy delivered to upstairs room. I unboxed and assembled in 35 minutes. This machine seems provide good workout resistance, almost a little too much resistance at the lowest level. However very good machine for the money and would highly recommend buying.

The tower is simple to use and it sets up and stores away easily. The iFit training assistance is very helpful, enjoyable, teaches proper technique, and helps keep me motivated. I’m looking forward to establishing a routine with this machine so that exercise will be a regular part of my life without a gym membership.
