After years of owning the original magic bullet, I decided to upgrade to this. Big upgrade! Large cup. Very powerful. And it really breaks down fruits and veggies. Great for smoothies.

I was surprised by how much we ended up liking this blender; to the point where we actually said, "Okay, this one actually IS worth the asking price." Obviously designed to compete with other "bullet" styled, smoothie-themed, single-serve/mini blenders, the NutriBullet ups the game by adding a cavernous 64 oz traditional blender pitcher to its on-the-go-friendly duo of smoothie-sized drink cups, one 24oz cup with a handle, and one 32 oz tumbler-sized cup without, making this a legitimately multi-purpose unit that likely could replace multiple blenders in a well-appointed kitchen. The package includes smoothie cup lids with nifty gasket-ringed spout covers that allow you to blend your smoothie in the cup, cap off the same container, and then drink directly/periodically from it while you're on the move without worrying about spillage. Just be aware that the lid adds a bit more 1.5 inches of extra height to an already generously sized smoothie cup; a standard 9" plastic smoothie straw stores fully beneath the sealed lid of the 32 oz cup--you'll need at least a 10-inch straw to extend beyond the opening of the spout while still reaching the good stuff at the bottom (if you prefer to sip your smoothies rather than gulp them down soda-can style). As for performance, make no bones about it, they aren't lying when they say that the 1200W motor will liquefy pretty much anything you throw into the blades. Blending, chopping, pulverizing--whatever--this blender seemed to do it all, and we saw whole frozen fruits gobbled up and converted into mall-worthy smoothies without distracting lumps or chunks left in the mix. Now, I'm not sure how much I buy into the claim featured in the item description that the motor is quiet enough for you to "engage in conversations while blending fruits and vegetables." We still found the blender plenty loud, especially on the higher setting and during the "Extract" spin-up; but truthfully, this blender proved so powerful that it's not like we spent a long time waiting for a job to finish just so we could get back to chatting in the kitchen. For those of you familiar with kitchen blenders, there's little here that's new other than maybe the totally awesome "Extract" program setting. Unlike the simple "Pulse" setting, "Extract" spins up the blades for high-speed blending, then stops them entirely long enough to let the ingredients settle a bit before spinning back up again to high speed. The unit rinses-and-repeats this cycle on its own before stopping after 1 minute to avoid excess heat and pressure build-up (that's not me being a smarty-pants--it's in the manual!). This is a seriously awesome feature for unattended blending, and thanks to this one little brilliant bit of functionality and product design, not ONCE did we have to remove the cup, open it up, slosh around the ingredients with a spatula and then re-seat the container to restart the blend--NICE! Now, once you take away "Pulse" and "Extract," there are really only three steady blending speeds left. Those of you with experience using blenders with constantly variable speeds, or an array of 7 to 10 or more graduated speed/program buttons might wonder if you'll miss the extra settings...well, my sense is that it's doubtful given how each blender/manufacturer likely has a different capacity to create the subtle differences between puree and frappe or grind and mash anyway...but do be aware that your speed choices here DO have their limits. There are a few other neat/inspired bits of usability worth noting, some especially for those unfamiliar with kitchen blenders in general: - The blender lets you know if everything is seated properly so it's very unlikely that anyone might accidentally or absentmindedly start up the motor without the blending collar and cup/pitcher properly seated in place. First, the whole blade assembly snaps into the base with an audible click. But better still, the blender won't even start if the base isn't seated and clicked into place properly, AND the power LED flashes at you to let you know there's a problem - There are suction cups on the feet! Sure, it's just a little detail, but none of the blenders we've used in the past had them (and we've had a LOT of blenders over the years); but they really made a difference on our tile countertop because once we got the blender settled in where we wanted it, we didn't have to constantly re-jigger it back into place, even after use or man-handling the blending base removing or seating the blender cup - The NutriBullet won't let you run any blending program longer than 1 minute at a time while using the smoothie cups to avoid potential heat and pressure build-up. Honestly, I didn't really know/think about this until I read the manual because I haven't really made smoothies in anything but a standard blender pitcher before, but for anyone who simply throws out the manual with the packaging, this unit is designed to minimize the possibility that you'll inadvertently heat your ingredients or shatter the cup during operation - There's a tamper (think "smooshing stick," for those of you not familiar with this item) that fits through the vent cover of the 64oz pitcher lid; you can open the cover to add ingredients and then push/stomp them down towards the blender blades WHILE THEY'RE STILL RUNNING--it feels a bit like tempting fate by putting your hand down a garbage disposal at first, but the tamper is JUST long enough to get you very close to the top of the spinning blades without really running the risk of getting black-flavored plastic bits in your food or drink. This gives you maximum smooshing power to get those ingredients off the sides of the pitcher, or folded in on themselves, and all the way down to their doom at the hands of the powerful spinning blades Although our uses for any blender are typically limited to smoothies, milkshakes and salsas, the NutriBullet also comes with a handy recipe guide for smoothies, soups, sauces, dips, and drinks just for good measure. All in all, this is a well-appointed, single-serve blender that can EASILY shoulder some pretty demanding double-duty as a standard kitchen blender. For a house-warming gift; to serve in a smallish kitchen; or for someone's first, kind-of-serious, mid-tier blender, this would be a great fit. It's very solidly/reassuringly built, is quite user-friendly (maybe even a bit idiot-proof?), it has some neat design features and functionality, and grinds through foods, liquids and ice seemingly without breaking a sweat. Maybe it's not sophisticated enough to replace a true multi-stage, ultra-high capacity blender capable of achieving professional chef or even serious kitchen hobbyist-level results; but for just about anyone else, it would be hard to think of a reason not to grab one if you're in the market for a great smoothie maker that also happens to be a great/capable blender in its own right--HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

This is my second NutriBullet product as I’ve already owned the NutriBullet Pro 900 for a number of years. While I love my NutriBullet Pro, it just couldn’t handle some things that required a traditional blender like blending down hot foods or making large quantities like a pitcher of slushies. This NutriBullet Blender Combo helps fill in that gap. Not only does it come with a 32 oz blender cup and a 24 oz one with a handle for smoothies and individual/small sized servings, but you get the benefit of having a full 64 oz blender pitcher for when you need to blend up a large quantity of ingredients for soups and frozen drinks. I liked that two "to-go" drink caps are included with the set, one for each blender cup so you can make up a smoothie, cap the cup, and take it with you, but still drink out of it easily without having to pour it into a separate glass or make a mess trying to drink from its wide rim. The design of the easy-twist off blades, which feature ergonomic finger holds for grip and twisting, make installing and removing the blades far easier than getting the lid off a jam jar. The twist-to-lock feature on the base allows the cups and pitcher to slide into place quickly and securely before you blend. I thought the suction cup feet on the bottom of the motor base do a good job of keeping the unit in place on my granite countertop while operating. My favorite feature is the 'extract' button for fruits and veggies. When used for making smoothies, it automatically runs through a cycle of timed pulses, with increasing speed, each time drawing your ingredients down into the blades without requiring you to remove the cup to shake, scrape down, or stir the ingredients manually. It even shuts itself off when it’s done making your drink. The results are smooth, creamy, and finely pureed smoothies that don’t have large chunks floating around in them, even if you add ice to the mix. One thing I learned from my older NutriBullet unit is that you don’t want to blend hot liquids in the blender cups, because with the seal, as the liquid cools, it creates a vacuum which makes it hard and sometimes impossible to open and remove the blades from the cups. With the blender pitcher, you don’t have to worry about that because it has a vented top which allows any built up pressure to escape, so this makes the pitcher ideal for both pureeing hot foods, for example tomato or pumpkin soup, and making shaved ice drinks like margaritas and pina coladas. With the pulse feature you can also do short bursts of chopping and dicing which works great for making chunky sauces like salsa verde and chutneys without having to pull out the food processor. I appreciate that the blender has three speeds so you can better control how fine you want your puree, though if run it long enough in any mode and you'll end up with a super smooth final product. That said, the blender cups have automatic shutoffs of 60 seconds per blend. This is to prevent the contents from heating up and building up pressure in the sealed cups. The pitcher has no such time restriction. I did try out a few of the recipes in the included recipe book, and I can recommend the green smoothie and tomato soup thickened with cashews instead of cream or flour! The custom tamper is well thought out too because you can insert it through the vent hole in the lid, and it stops just short of the blade so you can be sure that it won’t interfere with them for safe operation. The one thing I did notice was that if the rubber gasket of the pitcher lid gets oily, it’s literally impossible to get it seated in the pitcher and create a seal; it will simply slide up and pop out on its own. I found this out when one of my soups called for olive oil and some got up under the gasket and when I popped the lid off to add more ingredients, I couldn’t get the lid back on the pitcher again until I washed and rinsed the gasket off with soap and water. Aside from that small issue, I’ve really been enjoying using the blender and the smoothie cups to help me make quick and healthy smoothies, soups, and frozen drinks. The motor is powerful and not super duper loud, though about what you’d expect from a high-powered blender.

Review NutriBullet Blender Combo Best Buy Tech Insider Network Review Program Summary: Powerful but Loud, easy to use. Unboxing Impression: Lots to unpack in this box- The combo comes with a substantial base, 2 Nutribullet cups with vented lids, a full size pitcher with pour lid , a tamper and a recipe guide. All the pieces are very sturdy and well made, with the exception of the tamper. The tamper is fine, and up to the task its designed for, but feels a little less substantial than the rest of the pieces. Overall Performance / Usage: I was able to use this quickly to make smoothies and margaritas with ease. The large base easily has room for just about anything. There were no issues with clogging or overloading. The results were a consistently smooth blend each time. Ease of Use: The suction cups on the bottom helped keep the blender in place, and the buttons we clear and easy to understand. I skimmed the included manual before using, but it was pretty intuitive. Price: A mid range price, but overall solid performance. Certain a step up from a basic blender. I think it will last a good long time. Conclusion: Overall it does a great job, it is not the cheapest but far from the most expensive. It is very loud well over 110db. It seems to sound louder than my table saw (but I have not measured my saw) . Don’t expect to quietly make smoothies in the morning without waking up your family, (and maybe your neighbors). SEE VIDEO I would recommend it for its functionality and performance, but not the noise or aesthetics.

    Professional, Quality Blender

I would see commercials and wouldn't understand the hype for Nutribullet and similar blenders. After making smoothies, salsa, vegetable puree, I now know why people recommend the Nutribullet. When using blenders of lower quality, there would be larger pieces of fruit or vegetables that wouldn't be in puree or liquid form. There would be times as well when you wanted a certain smoothie or drink to be at a certain consistency (chunky salsa or smoothie) yet it would come out more liquidy or too thick. What I have liked about the nutribullet is that it has been much easier and quicker to get drinks and salsas to the thickness you like when compared to other blenders. I decided to try it out on the first day and made an oatmeal apple smoothie. I was impressed by the easiness by which it blended the apple and how quickly the smoothie was done. The settings low, med, and high are truly remarkable. I did my smoothie on low so it could be a little thick and the speed/force was pretty strong. I tried the medium speed and felt like it was the high. This is just to say the speed of the blender is pretty powerful, in my opinion. The set came with a large blender, 2 large cups in which you can blend your drinks and attach accompanying lids, and also a masher, which I thought was interesting. The large blender comes with its own blades and there is also another blade you can use for blending with the individual cups. Overall, I thought this Nutribullet set was definitely different from others I've seen and also tried. I like the large blender and also using the same large mount to blend smaller proportions with the cups, the powerful blending, and delicious drinks/food that can be made. I give this blender 5 stars and highly recommend it to people who like juicing or are simply looking for a powerful blender for their foods.

Ease to use, made sturdy. This makes super easy to make smoothy, slush for hot days and kids running back form school. Then it can do what ever needed or create as powerful 1200 watt motor base. Then washing the pitcher and blade is very seamless as upon use then rising them does clean easily (based on rising after making smoothie and juice). Probably the result has to do for first time or new and need to see over time and multiple usages, but the first few usage has been nothing to observe negatively Its accessories "easy-twist extractor blade, 24 oz handled cup, 2 to-go lids, 32 oz cup, pitcher lid with lid cap, tamper, 64 oz pitcher" make practical for quickly serve or use during cooking process. Maybe the motor sound could be bit more smoother or lower pitch, and MSRP could be bit lower, but apart of it in overall does what meant to and does adds up to the need.

Purchased the blender back in Oct 21, 2021. I was moving + was out of the country for a few months and didn't get around opening the box. Finally opened it today when I realized that Best Buy sold me a USED product. There are streaks of whatever the previous owner blended on the main unit. I called Best Buy and explained the situation, they refused the exchange I requested and told me the best they could do was a $15 gift card.

My wife and I practice a healthy lifestyle, so a quality nutrient-rich diet is very important to us. Preparing fruit and vegetables meals couldn’t be any easier or more convenient than dumping ingredients in the NutriBullet blender for 10-20 seconds, creating a well-blended smoothie. We bought a competing brand previously that looks nice in our kitchen, but it’s too tall with the full size pitcher, and looks disproportionate using the individual (or dual) size container. This NutriBullet 1200 combo is better suited for our needs, more compact with balanced aesthetics. Comparatively we’ve also noticed it does a much better job pulverizing seeds and mixed nuts to create a fantastic healthy smoothie. Pros —— + Full-size blender yet convenient footprint + Multi-speed blend controls (extract, low, medium, high, pulse) + Requires minimal maintenance to maintain clean appearance (other model glossy smart screen display panel easily smudged) + 1200-watt seems quite powerful, can blend in super fast bursts, no need for 1700-watt model. + Tamper insert for vented lid to scrape the pitcher sides + Suction cup feet securely affix base unit to counter + Well thought out design, clean lines, solid build + Promotes healthy active lifestyles Cons —— - not as quiet as hoped (yet audible dB quieter than comp on Low) - Faint smell of electronic motor first few blends, gone on day 2 - Two-handed operation, though unattended blending works I don’t recommend it - Requirement of liquids before blending (per user manual) - Hot ingredients and soups only in full-size pitcher Overall we are beyond satisfied with this NutriBullet Combo.
