I've been a user of the Meta version for over a year, this second generation of the tech has much better battery life, and 60fps video. They continue to add additional functionality like conversation focus which is good to see. The transitions lenses are great so you can keep the glasses on when indoors, which was an issue with my previous sunglasses version. Overall very good.

I’ve been using these Oakley Meta HSTN glasses with the grey Transitions lenses for a few days so far, and overall I’m pretty impressed. I love how light and solid they feel on my face and how crisp the optics are once the lenses darken in sunlight. They’re way more comfortable than I expected given all the tech packed in and the transition effect works well enough for most weather changes. I enjoy having the smart features like audio and camera ready if I want to grab a quick video or listen to music on the go. My only small gripe is that the transition lenses don’t get super dark like full-on sunglasses in cooler/cloudy conditions, so they’re not perfect for bright snow or high-glare days indoors/outdoors. The clear frame also is awesome if you can find it in stock get it! so cool seeing the tech inside!

I was really excited to try out these glasses because I saw a chance to easily capture fun moments with my newborn son and my wife. The great part is, even when my hands are full holding him, I can still activate the camera to record video or snap a photo using the Meta AI voice assistant. Speaking of the AI, the feature that lets you choose different voices for the assistant is pretty cool. I picked John Cena to handle my voice activated questions. Learning how the glasses work was also pretty simple. You can record videos up to three minutes long and take as many photos as you want, provided you have the storage to save your content. To activate the camera, you can use your voice, or just use the button on the top right temple: a long press records a video, and a short press takes a photo. Plus, Meta AI is always connected to the internet through my phone, so it can identify what I’m looking at in real time and even give me some background info if I ask. Overall, I found the most value in having an option to capture a special moment at literally any moment's notice. The one thing that's a bummer is the design. I honestly don't like how they look on me, which is why I really only wear them around the house when the baby is awake and playing, or when I'm walking the dogs around the neighborhood. I haven't been comfortable wearing them out in public because, for my taste, the design is just a little bulky and awkward. Despite the design issue, they are still great smart glasses and they excel at that. They're awesome when I want to listen to a podcast or music but don't want to mess with headphones or drain the battery on another pair of earphones. They're great for capturing awesome, portrait style videos and photos in moments where I definitely wouldn't have had my phone out, and great for getting real time answers to questions about something I'm looking at or just a random thought that popped into my head. And the sound quality is great. You can hear everything clearly, even at lower volumes in quiet spots, but you can still hear what's going on around you even when the volume is turned up. Overall, I really like the Meta AI glasses, but I'll definitely be holding out for a better design next time.

I’ve been using the Oakley Meta glasses for a bit, and there are some things I really like about them. The battery life is better than I expected, the 3K video capture is sharp, and the lenses are solid—great clarity outdoors with Oakley’s usual quality. I also find the Meta AI integration surprisingly useful, especially for quick info or hands-free tasks. The build feels premium and definitely leans into a sporty, active look, which fits me well. That said, they’re not perfect. The frames are pretty bulky and can get uncomfortable after a while, especially if you have a smaller head. They’re also pricey, and depending on the lens option, they don’t always block out bright sunlight as much as I’d like. The open-ear speakers are fine in quiet areas, but in noisy environments, sound leaks and clarity take a hit. I’ve also noticed a few quirks with the software—accidental button presses and some features that feel limited. Plus, there’s no real prescription lens support, which is a big drawback if you need it. Overall, I’d say the Oakley Meta glasses are a solid choice if you’re outdoors a lot, want better video and battery life than other smart glasses, and don’t mind the bold design. But if comfort, discreet styling, or prescription lenses are must-haves for you, they might not be the best fit.

Excellent quality! The Oakley Mete sunglasses are lightweight, comfortable, and very stylish. The lenses provide great clarity and sun protection. Highly recommend!

These are great! A bit on the expensive side but great quality. Love the quality of the lenses and view. Not as bulky as I expected, a little heavier than I'm use to but still very wearable all day. Good extra features such as picture taking, video, sound (I only wish the sound was louder and better quality). They should have used Shokz bone conduction tech to improve. Also, still trying to figure out what else I can do with these, but so far the big thing seems to be pics and videos. Really wish for more... Maybe software updates?

The built quality is great, the battery life is awesome. It lasts around eight hours. The comfort is a little heavy and a little tighter around your ears after a long time wearing.

They immediately replaced my earbuds. The sound is exceptional for both listening to music and audio books, and also for phone calls I love being able to hear in both ears without needing to shove earbuds in my ears (I find earbuds very uncomfortable and will never go back to them). I also love to use the glasses to record pickleball, both as a player and when spectating. It's so nice not to have to hold a phone up to take video! The quality is excellent. I do like their Ai video editing too which makes some changes effortless like changing lighting, making a montage video, or making it more suitable or interesting for social media posting. The Meta Ai is ok and gets most of what I need done such as answering questions about what I'm looking at or answering a call hands-free. very nice. I love the Oakley's too. I wasn't sure I would, but I ended up really liking the style and they feel solid and high quality. I had the gen 1 Rayban's previously (which were also good) but I like the Oakley's better.

If you find the HSTN chunky looking, get the clear frames. Build quality is a step up from the last gen Meta Ray Bans, especially around the hinges. Folding is nice and solid. Battery life is noticeably improved. My only gripe with these is the bulky case with snap magnetic top. It's nice and well built but a pain to fiddle with one handed. They snap close like an AirPods case while you're pulling out or putting in the glasses. And you know Meta has a better solution with the folding case that come with the Display glasses. Those should become standard across the lineup.

Bought as gift for my other half but he returned them. Although the features were great the shape/style did not appeal like other Oakley sunglasses. The features are fun especially ease listening to music or messages read without having to have earbuds or pull your phone out. The battery life is also longer than the Ray Ban Display Meta glasses and the frame is comfortable and of course better for your wallet.

I absolutely loved these. The battery life lasts a long time and the picture and video is extremely clear. The only thing is if you have a wide face they do fit a bit tight.

Battery life isn't bad. And if the battery gets low on the glasses, throw it in the case for an half hr and its back to a 100%. The AI is impressive. Helped in my most scariest time with my dog. It explained to me that the symptoms my dog was experiencing was a seizure and urged me to seek medical attention for him. Explained why a certain tree fell in my yard by looking at the break in the tree and asking "why this tree fall". Hooping with the glasses is cool for causual games, not competitive games. Glasses. Cant seem to stay still and bounce around too much but i guess that varies upons who is wearing. Resolution great. Sound great. If tou was to get on a call in a nosey background, the noise cancellation.

I’ve been using the new Meta sunglasses for a few weeks now and I’m seriously impressed! This pair was my first AI glasses and I loved it at first. The audio was sharp and clear (did lack bass though), camera is high quality for a wearable tech, and Meta ai is getting smarter everyday. The fit is great but doesn’t look good for my face shape. The only reason why I returned these is because I wanted to upgrade to the Meta-Ray Ban Display Glasses. Other than that, highly recommend

I purchased these for my wife for her birthday. She loves the transitional lenses, the fit of the glasses, and the battery life is ok, but not great. However, the fact that you can only film short videos is a big bummer. We're hoping that in future models Meta can up that time frame. Also - very important: once you get your videos over in the Meta app, make sure to verify that you transferred them to your photo or video collection, as if you delete them from the Meta app, they're GONE! There is no trash can where you can restore them. Don't find out the hard way.
