I got this for my daughter for Christmas. We have had so much fun with it!! The only down side is it's a one player game system. So if you share everyone else and you are playing an adventure game. If anyone other then the MAIN person goes on to play they are picking up and playing where the main person left off. Other then that this is awesome!! If they could make it a multi player game system it would have 5 stars!!

This machine is great! I've been wanting a VR headset ever since I worked with the Oculus Rift a couple years ago! This machine is one step better than I could've asked for because of Oculus Link. Now I can use it on our off my computer!

I had to purchase this headset somewhere else, because I ordered through bestbuy with next day shipping (which I paid extra for), and 4 days later it still had not shipped so I contacted them. After much hassle and back and forth between them and ups I discovered they never shipped the product and after I had already paid and been charged for the full price customer service informed me that they did not have any in stock. Even though the site said there was was some in stock AND let me complete my transaction. They offered no adequate compensation of any sort not even so much as an apology for the mixup. I'm hesitant to make any purchases through bestbuy ever again because there is no excuse for such blatant lack of regard for customers. They should have immediately contacted me when the product did not ship the day it was supposed to and inquired about what to do next when they discovered it was not in stock for some reason even though it was when I purchased it, therfore it should have been delivered to me as such. It is one thing to do that with a small purchase, but this being a 500 dollar transaction they should have acknowledged that they should probably keep better track of their sad excuse for basic logistics. There is no excuse that I had to call them several different times to get a straight answer for why my package didn't ship. The product: 4/5 Stars. Amazing quality VR experience with a versatile amount of games and ways to play. If you have a pc capable of VR and want to be able to play wireless this is the way to go. I have so much fun playing all of the games i have either native quest games, or streaming from my pc. This as a first headset is perfect if youre looking to get into vr and have never experienced it before I highly recommend it (phone vr doesn't count, because that pales in comparison even to this, which is technically the entry level VR headset). Most people modify the headset for comfort and functionality which i also recommend. The device itself performs great, but to be honest the original headstrap is not the most comfortable and doesn't counterbalance the weight from your face. Also the stock audio solution on the quest is underwhelming compared to the fidelity of quality speakers or a headset that are available from other headsets. You can use HTC vive's deluxe audio strap if you'd like to modify the headset for better audio and a more comfortable strap all at once. It makes the headset the quality it should be out of the box which is fantastic. But its an extra 100$ to shell out on an already expensive purchase. These things are not necessary to enjoy the headset, but it turns it from the 'budget, entry level' hmd it was meant to be into a much higher quality experience that you will love and enjoy for hours and hours over and over again. I honestly haven't played a non VR game since getting my headset. Ive always been an avid gamer, but experiencing vr has been such a game changer for me and has made gaming a fun and exciting experience for me again. I had gotten to the point where my favorite hobby turned into something daunting and undesirable and found I wasn't even having fun like I always used to playing video games. The oculus quest (with a little help from my gaming pc) has reinvigorated my love and passion for gaming and given me some of the best experiences I could ever ask for as a gamer. If you're on the fence, don't have a gaming pc but want vr, have a good pc but don't want to deal with wires, have kids and not a lot of space to play in your 'computer space', i highly recommend this product. It doesn't offer as high quality VR as the higher end devices, but i will say that the freedom to play wireless (standalone or streaming from pc) is well beyond worth it. I want others to be able to get the joy and incredible experiences I have had with VR. I think if you're thinking about, you should do yourself a favor and buy one. I am so happy I finally got a vr headset, so hopefully, you will be too. (The reason for 4 and not 5 stars is because I don't like the original headstrap and had to spend 100+ extra dollars to make it to my liking).

I am new to VR, and this device has shown me a whole new world! The feeling that you are actually there is incredible. The headset is heavy but it’s easy to forget that it is on. I really like that it came with both controllers.

I love the VR but over time it gets heavier. You do get dizzy fast for beginner. I just don’t like the smell of the product. It makes me dizzy just the smell and while using it. But for the blackness color. It’s perfect!!

After the initial excitement of owning the Quest, I began to notice all the little issues that makes owning this device unbearable. Hardware: This thing is front heavy, it will leave you with raccoon eyes as it requires a tight fit. Requires a counterweight to use comfortably. The front cushion is extremely uncomfortable and not good for long sessions. The system uses a dated cpu so the graphics are not great. Low refresh rate can make some gaming sessions nauseating. The lense easily scratches, prone to burn in, and is non-replaceable. The poor quality lenses still retain god rays and the screen door effect is prominent. No way to determine if the IPD slider is adjusted correctly to the user which can lead to headaches during gameplay. Quest Battery life limits gameplay to 2-4 hour sessions. If you wear glasses this may not be for you despite an “adapter” (does not work for all glasses). Some units have sound, mic, and WiFi issues. If you buy direct from Oculus they will not replace it. There are some 3rd party manufacturers that developed products to fix these issues however you will pay closer to $800 for the Quest to resolve everything I just described. Software/Games: Very limited selection of games. Game manufacturers are charging high prices to crap and old ported games that are 3 or more years old without adding any new content. Many “high rated” games have short playability (can finish the game in less than 6 hours). Some games (especially the ported games) have awful glitches, some developers take months to fix them, others don’t care to fix them. Some users have complained of tracking issues. Games are restricted to the account/device, you can’t share the game with a family member so each family member with a quest must purchase the same game. Many settings are unavailable to the user, requires a software like SideQuest to unlock basic settings such as changing time/date and loading games/software not available in the oculus store. Online Multiplayer is almost nonexistent and the few games that support it, game developers have yet to activate the feature. Quest avatar is really crappy and you are unable to delete it after creating one. Facebook privacy policy is terrible and it’s possible they are tracking users usage of the device.

This is the Oculus Quest with expanded memory to 128gb. It is simply the best stand alone headset out there. The controls are slick and the headset is top 3 visually. Without wires, there is no comparison to this Facebook offering. The best as a standalone non-wired VR set. You will not be disappointment. I would only recommend this if you don't have the Oculus Link to transfer data out

I never thought VR was this cool. A couple of years ago we had the cheap $5 headset for your phone, and that’s how I thought this would be... but this blows my expectations of VR away! Lots of cool games and they are inexpensive too.

This thing is amazing! Yeah the graphic quality might be just a tad lower than the PC powered (Rift S) but still totally worth it. No cables is GREAT! I'm not even into video games but I've had so much fun playing on this one. Highly recommend!

This unit does a great job offing enough power without requiring the unit to be tethered to a PC. Headset is a little uncomfortable when worn for a long time, but image quality, ease of use, and portability make the compromises worth it for me.

We had the rift which is also great but not having the wires in the way is so much more convenient. The grid is easy to set up. Only suggestion would be to add rechargeable batteries for the controllers and a charging dock.

I use this thing a lot. I will use it even more after this virus stuff is over with. Before this virus stuff I would go out of town every month. I have a Rift S but bringing my powerful PC with me is no where near as easy as packing up my Quest and walking out the door. This thing can play tons of games. The first time I played Beat Saber I knew this headset was a game changer. You can play PCVR games and play games without touching a PC. It keeps getting updates all the time. It now has hand tracking which lets you play without controllers. There is also a good chance there will be even more updates that add functionality. This thing just keeps getting better and better. If you can only buy one VR headset this is the one to get if you ever want to play VR without a PC.

I have owned three different VR headsets including this one. The Oculus Go, Playstation VR headset and now the Quest. Out of the three, the quest is easily the best. The 6 degrees of freedom (6DoF) without wires or external cameras is a triumph of engineering. You can create play spaces for the headset using the controllers that will keep you from bumping into objects, and if you go outside of the designated play space you have created, it shows you the real world (in sort of grainy black and white. The resolution is excellent although you still get that screen door effect that is common on VR headsets, but I notice it a lot less on the Quest than I did on the GO or the Playstation VR. There are a couple of issues I have with the quest though. One is that the game and app library is not nearly as extensive as wired headsets for PC gamers or Playstation users. It is not even as extensive as the Go. I suspect this will increase substantially over time. My biggest issue is the headstrap. For such an amazing device, I feel like they really missed on the headstrap. Because this device is so heavy, it has a tendency to rest on your cheek bones which can get a little painful after 30 minutes or so. I also find I am adjusting the headset every 10 minutes or so. The headstrap seems to be a common complaint for the Quest. I am hoping they will develop a better version in the future or perhaps an aftermarket headstrap will be developed. Overall though, this is definitely an amazing device.

My only complaint is that the battery life isn't great, about 2 hours on a full charge. I have never played VR, and I guess I expected better graphics, but the Oculus has great experiences even beyond games for purchase.

The Oculus Quest is currently the best fully wireless all-in-one solution out there. I am very impressed with what it is able to do considering it is powered by a Snapdragon 835. Just don't go into it expecting the same level of graphical fidelity and performance of a more robust PC-powered VR solution and you won't be disappointed. One thing to note with regard to audio: The Quest does not have the built in headphones like the Rift does. Instead, it plays the audio through a speaker on the headset. This is fine, but for experiences that rely heavily on audio fidelity, you may want to consider picking up a pair of headphones to go along with it.
