Customers often highlight the exceptional picture quality after calibration, making it a great choice for those seeking a high-quality visual experience. My first Smart TV purchase and it was such a smart choice. All the apps we commonly use on our tablets and the ability to stream movies with Netflix, Amazon Prime, or even Hulu. My kids figured out YouTube really fast too! I love it. Next TV will definitely be another Panasonic Viera, only larger!

Bought this unit on close out at best buy and got a relatively great deal. Easy to mount with my existing mount and accessories connected very easily. Remote they gave me was the wrong remote, they made an adjustment and directed me to one of their partner sites to order a new one. Vivid colors, great slim design and overall very pleased with it. This was my first LED TV and it took some getting used to. I have a Pioneer elite plasma in the other room and this picture is a little different.

Thus far, we love it! Nice picture and decent sound, thin screen, well constructed. Panasonic has one of the lowest repair rates according to leading consumer mag. Good selection of outputs (4 HDMI) on back. Easily connected to wireless internet, lots of apps which I've only begun to explore. Easy to set up and get all the features working. On the downside, it's difficult to navigate the internet with the remote and on-screen keypad. Suppose you could hook a keypad up to the USB and use that.

Very nice picture quality everywhere in room 15x12. Mounted at eye level on wall.
Sound adequate but improved greatly with soundbar.
HDMI outputs are out straight from back, so you will need a 90 deg. adapter if you mount on wall.
Biggest disappointment was Browser. very cumbersome with remote provided, and don't waste your time on the smartphone app, either android or apple; both are very poor in function.
Did come with many apps like Netflix which were easy to use.
Overall we are satisfied, but would have also preferred a set that could wirelessly stream directly and easily from a device.

Totally satisfied. Beautiful picture. Very light weight. I set it up by myself with no assistance even though it is large. Crystal clear colors.
Wish it had a VGA port and a few more connection options on the back. An ad card reader would be nice, too.

To me this is one of the beat looking televisions that i have ever seen. No chrome, a very thin frame, and no unnecessary bits the could detract from the picture. The picture for the most part is very good. Sometimes there is a flashlight effect in lighter scenes and at times the picture looks flat like bad video camera footage used to, though not a deal breaker. This is my first flat screen LCD. It is replacing a Sony Grand Wega that cost more that twice as much. Panasonic is one of my trusted brands. In summary I say "for the money" only because this set is the E series and I think that the higher up ET series has the IPS panel and a much better picture, but more $$. This is also my first smart tv and found the viera connect excellent.

Very solid budget TV. Super thin. Picture quality is excellent after calibration. True 120Hz. Plenty of connectivity, HDMI ARC etc works very well. Easy to use. Good number of Apps.
The major con is the speakers are horrible. Like really terrible. Don't buy this TV if you don't plan on adding a sound bar/ speaker system.

My fiance and I have had this tv for about a month. We bought it after our OLD big screen (60 inch) tv broke. This tv is a bit smaller but the picture is great! The sound quality is decent but improved dramatically when we connected it to our surround sound system. The set up was very easy. Even though my fiancé is very good with electronics, he had some difficulty connecting this tv to our wifi. I don't know if it was the tv or Internet but that has been our ONLY problem and it was solved by connecting it directly rather than through wifi.

I bought this T.V. On bestbuy.com open box. The T.V. shows a very clear pic, it seems as if I can teach out and touch the people in the movies. The sound could be a little better but got a sound bar and it's perfect. The wifi is easy to connect my 11 year old niece did it, I love the variety of apps. In all this is a great smart T.V. I gave it a 4 because of sound.

Originally I bought a Plasma 51" and returned it because it seemed too dark. I bought the plasma because the Best Buy guys said it was better for games because of the refresh rate. But when I got this LED TV home and played my PS3 on it, it was so much better. Plus the smart TV functions are awesome. I can use my phone to search for videos on YouTube and they play on the TV.

Did a lot of research and Panasonic was one of the top picks. In the store comparing it to Vizio and Samsung, the picture quality and color and definition, it came out on top by leaps and bounds. Very satistifed with everything about it.

I've had this TV for a month now and have had nothing but a great experience with it. I am a sports junkie and my children are into the
Discovery Channel and old Horror flicks. I looked for months to find a TV that would give us the best picture quality while watching everything from the Stanley Cup playoffs to 1950 Dracula movies; I noticed some TVs were good for sports and others for movies. My new Panasonic Slim LED works fantastic for both.
This is my second Panasonic HDTV. My first one, a 50" LCD that I purchased in 2004, is still working wonderfully and is now downstairs where my boys play Xbox and watch movies.
I recommend this TV wether this is your 1st or 10th HDTV.

Great quality picture, remote is fairly simple and self explanatory. Smart apps are easily navigated. The TV sound is good not great, but paired with a decent sound bar or home theatre sound system. It's an ultimate tv module for a small to medium size living space. If a large living space, I recommend the same model TV but the 58" or larger style.

Picture is great, particularly since it is installed in a family-room, mounted on 2+ story wall full of windows, above a fireplace. Easy to connect, easy to wall-mount on Rocket Fish full-motion mount. Internet app's seem to work well. Sound however is fair at-best. Granted, TV is mounted in a recessed area, in a stone floor-to-ceiling fireplace. TV speakers are rear-facing, thought sound would come "bouncing out", had to raise TV volume to nearly '70' to get any appreciable sound. Purchased Klipsch SB-1 sound bar, immediately took care of sound quality and volume. I wanted TV with no 3-D, but all the high-def, internet app's, and great picture - this TV does all that, and at substantially reduced price compared to TV's with all the 3-D features that won't get used in this application. I would recommend this TV, but plan to use savings on sound bar or other speaker equipment.

Panasonic - 50" - Great TV, Great Price!

This reviewer bought the Panasonic - 50" Class (49-1/2" Diag.) - LED - 1080p - 120Hz - Smart - HDTV, based on online customer and professional electronic reviews -- and the television lived up to expectations. However (and this is not really a major complaint) one has to realize that with all the modern digital technology and upgrades, [things] are bound to change. In this case, the connections for components in the back of the tv unit are geared for those modern digital formats. There are 3 sets of HDMI (Input) connections, 1 set of Y/PB/PR Analog Component (Input) connections, only ONE digital Audio Output, ZERO (0) of the old reliable RCA video/audio connections, and ZERO analog audio outputs. So, if one has outdated video and stereo components, one might have to buy 'digital converters' to adapt them for the HDMI and digital audio connections (or just buy all new components with HDMI output connections). Otherwise, the Panasonic - 50" Class (49-1/2" Diag.) - LED - 1080p - 120Hz - Smart - HDTV has a great picture and sound quality.

My wife wanted a larger TV for the family room due to eye problems. We picked out this unit due to its size, sharp picture quality and sale price. The picture is very sharp, so much so that I can see just how much makeup actors wear to cover their blemishes. I like the way that the screen takes up most of the height and width of the set with very thin frame around it. My older sets have surrounding frames that are four times larger. I set it up myself and found it an easy task. I'm disappointed that the only audio outlet is for optical audio cables since my transmitter for my remote wireless speakers does not have this feature so I have to plug the transmitter into the cable box. As a result when using the remote speakers the audio and video are out of sync. Other than that I've very satisfied.
