Works very well for shaving your head, battery lasts long, cleaning feature saves a lot of trouble. The only downside is having to keep buying the detergent for the cleaning base but it's worth it and is very necessary for getting a good shave without razor bumps.

I have been using foil shaver for so long. this new shaver, I can say that I really like the first touch of it. so far I am happy for the product.

I like it, I like that it’s self cleaning. It just misses more than I expected unless I go over the same spot a few times. As much of a pain as my $100 Babyliss BUT smoother overall by far! And I like self cleaning

I purchased this to replace an old rotary uniting I had. It was an ok unit, but I had always preferred my first fail shaver to this. My brother really liked his panasonic, so I got this one. The cleaning/charging stand is a nice bonus, but you can buy this same shaver without it. It does clean this very nicely, I do it once a week to be thorough, but daily rinse and tap does ok also. The closeness on this if very good, minimal irritation. My old foilcanceling? A single unit, so having 5 is odd, but effective. Irritation is a minimum for me. I do prefer to use a bit of preshave with this just to make sure. Battery life is easily 14 days fo regular shaving 1 time daily. Overall, it is a bit more expensive than some other units, bit I hope it will last a long time and works well.

This is my 3rd Arc Shaver from Panasonic having previously owned the Arc2 and Arc3 shavers and my first time having a shaver with the cleaning system. Ever since my first Arc shaver, I've been sold on Panasonic making the absolute best electric shavers (which is all I've ever used since I was a teenager because I have an intense fear of razor blades). This Arc5 is an excellent upgrade from my Arc3. It makes shaving so easy with the individually flexing shaving blades and then the overall head that can be locked in place or allowed to move and adjust with the contours of your face and neck. I mean, so many other companies would have one or the other, but Panasonic builds there's with both! The handle is comfortable to hold. A single charge seems to last forever. The battery level indicator is clear. You can lock this thing for travel so it can't accidentally get turned on in your suitcase. It really is the PERFECT electric shaver. Then throw in the cleaning system and it's unbeatable. I love the cleaning system. It's easy to use and keeps my shaver cleaned and charged. Really the best shaver on the market!

I had been using the Braun Series 9 until it broke so picked up the Panasonic Arc5 shaver as a replacement. I am glad I did. It definitely out performs the Braun and is lighter and gets all my neck beard more easily than the Braun ever did. Got the model with the self cleaner and very pleased with it as it drys the shaver after cleaning so you don't have that wet residue the first you shave afterward.

I have been using a Braun Series 7 since it first came out. My third one broke, so I decided to try a new brand based on reviews. The Panasonic Arc5 is the best shaving tool I have ever used! It performs so much better than the Braun when the whiskers are short. When they are long, it's no contest; I feel as though I shaved with a traditional razor. It's very comfortable. No snagging of the skin. The cleaner uses a reusable tank, so unlike the Braun, you're not throwing away a cleaner tank every time. It's a minor point, but I feel it's worth mentioning that this is much better for the environment. Finally, I really like that the cleaner has a dry mode! Too often, I would clean my Braun and then realize I missed a patch and have to use it when it was still wet from cleaning. All in all, I was greatly surprised by how good this shaver is! I am seriously going to look at Panasonic for other electronics in the future.

Easy to use and gives a close shave every time with no hassle

The instructions say to give my face 30 days to adjust. To my surprise, I got a close shave immediatley with no irritation. My shave is closer than using a blade. The cleaning system is easy to use. A surprisingly good purchase.

Not only is this the best electric shaver I’ve ever had, it gives me a smoother shave than a traditional razor and is much more convenient. The cleaner that comes with it is easy to use and very effective.

I've been eyeballing these shavers for a while and I finally got one a few weeks ago. This is shaver is amazing! I actually got what feels to be a closer shave with the Arc5 over my Gillette Fusion and my safety razor and a WAAAAAY better shave over my Norelco rotary. It's comfortable to in the hand and on the face. The cleaning/charging base is AWESOME! If you're lazy like me, this is a must! The razor get almost spotless with the cleaning function. Waaaay better than using those little brushes. Only complaint is it's a bit loud when cleaning. I ended up putting some foam padding under the base to dampen the vibration noises. Other than that, I highly recommend this!

I have owned several electric shavers and this one is the best one hands down. Way better than the Braun 7 shaver. The trimmer on the side is great and easy to use. Well worth the money! You get a good close shave with this shaver, still not like a regular razor but pretty close! Also the battery life is great and easy to determine how much battery life is less. If you want an electric shaver this is the one to get.

Pros - Excellent razor. Closest shave I have ever had. Fast and easy shave due to excellent blades. Cons - Requires a bit of maintenance. You need to run the “cleaning program” every day (personally I do it every other day). Some water and a cleaning solution shoots up into the case and cleans the razor once activated (1 pack of solution is provided for one month - available on Amazon sold as a pack for a reasonable price). This seemed like a bit of a pain at first, especially changing the solution every month, but the razor looks brand new and is working like it was just out of box many months later, so I think it’s worth it. Note - the first ten minutes of the cleaning process are VERY NOISY. The last 60 or so of the drying process aren’t too bad. Don’t expect to clean this razor before you head off to work if your partner is within 25 yards. It’s like waking up to someone vacuuming your pillow.

I have used electrics in the past but have always gone back to traditional razor and shave cream. I shave in the shower but decided to go back to electric, rather than waste all the water and electric required for shower shaves. I bought a new Braun 7, which had a great accessory package and a reasonable price. However, I didn't like the razor. I missed the old pop-up trimmer, as the Braun required removing the foil and snapping on a trimmer. This is not convenient, and I didn't really need most of the other accessories (stubble beard kit) and the whole set-up seemed flimsy. So, I returned it and ordered the Arc 5. I have been happy with the change and the Panasonic seems to be a better build unit. It is more attractive sitting on the counter and no switching of head components are required. I have fairly sensitive skin and have had no issues with this razor. The pop-up trimmer is nice and practical, and the razor is comfortable to use. I have to go over areas multiple times, but that is always the case. I never get as close of a shave as with water/blade/shave cream, but the convenience balances things out. The cleaning system is very compact and doesn't take up much counter space. It seems to do a good job, but it is loud. My wife has come from a couple of rooms away to ask what the noise is. It is louder than the Braun and quite a bit louder than my older Phillips-Norelco. But it works well and is the first one I have had that has a dryer cycle. You can hear the fan, but not like the sonic cleaning. The cleaning solution pouches are overpriced, but there are less expensive options to be found. If you are looking for an electric, I feel this is a good choice. Heads and foils are not cheap for any of them, but you should get a couple of years out of these. Hope they stay available, unlike my Phillips-Norelco. And there isn't the constant snapping on/off of head accessories, like the new generation of Braun. Battery life seems good and has plenty of juice for weeklong trips without a charger. This is my favorite of the three major brands which I have tried.

If you really want “baby face” then this razor for you!!! Amazing results, easy to use and clean + cleaning station is really really helpful

Had a earlier model Panasonic shaver that I wanted to replace because I could. This 5 blade model provides a closer shave than my previous 2 shavers. No issues with my sensitive skin. I like the newer cleaning station and the cleaning solution packets are a nice upgrade. I did upgrade the foil to the Japanese foil that has the 2 gold guides based on an article I read.

Clean and close shave for my head and face. Holds long charge and easy ro clean. Fair price for what you get.

This is not a bad electric razor. Works just fine. I switched from using a braun series 8 to this one and i like the fact that this one has a cleaning station that i pour a packet of liquid in then water to the fill level. the razor cuts well. Not giving me any problems.
