The difference between this one and the last Panasonic phones is that they would have a light when they are charging so you can see where they are in the dark. That’s essential in a dark room.

When you put it on speaker phone you can barely hear anything. I would have returned them but I did not plug them in and try them when I first bought them. When I realized how crappy they were it was passed the return date. Wasted a lot of money. I have since bought a AT&T phone system and put these back in the box and they are sitting on a shelf.

Posted .Please follow these steps to help you solve this issue.
1) If you have a model that has speakerphone on the base, put the call on speakerphone. If there is still noise, it may be coming from the incoming line. Try connecting to a different phone jack.
2) If connected to a modem you may need to contact your Telephone Service Provider to get a DSL filter
3) If only one handset has noise, try resetting that handset by removing the batteries for a few seconds
4) If there is noise on all handsets try changing the cord that connects the base to the wall
5) If noise is only on some calls, try moving closer to the base and away from sources of electrical interference (microwave oven, vacuum cleaner, etc.)
