Doesn't work on Hulu or amazon in vudu but works good on other apps

I really like this remote, and it's a huge upgrade from using the stock controller for Blu ray disc playback. Effectively controls my TV and Cable box (both Samsung). Many comment that they liked the PS3 remote better, but I never owned a PS3, so I can't compare, but I'm happy with this. If you're expecting this to function like a Harmony remote, you'll be disappointed, but for the price, it's probably the best PS4 accessory I own.

It works great. Battery life is not the best for sure.

Its not the greatest remote ever, but it gets the job done. It seems to disconnect from the ps4 every 30 minutes, and its hard to get it connected again. Most of the functions do not work with my Vizio tv which is a drag. I unsuccessfully tried to program the custom functions as well.

My wife and I watch Netflix/Hulu etc all the time, and using the controller was getting a little cumbersome! Finally a remote that I can use to control my PS4/TV etc. Works great!

I bought this because I was tired of hitting the fast forward and rewind buttons on the gaming remote when I'd put it down while watching blue ray/DVDs. Insta-fix, mama is happy.

Good with only 2 complaints, can't program it so volume controls only go to receiver and the remote turns off after a while when controlling ps4, meaning you have to push ps4 button often. Love the universal remote option - way better than Xbox one media remote.

Works better on my tv and sound bar than my att uverse remote.

I bought this controller for one reason: to control Netflix while eating dinner and watching TV without getting my game controllers dirty. The controller is highly functional and makes it VERY easy to skip around while watching Netflix. The IR beam must be fairly weak, as you REALLY have to point this at the TV to control the TV (it paired very easily). Overall, I'd recommend this item, especially at sale prices.

It's nice to see Sony finally bring out a remote for the PS4

Not all of the functions work with my TV. I've tried all of the codes but things like the Play, Stop, FF, don't sync up. I also wish there were more than just 3 learning/programmable buttons. If I could teach/reprogram any/all buttons this would be an awesome universal remote.

Seeing as this is only a LICENSED product from Sony, this remote has some issues. For the pros, it connects effortlessly with a PS4. Also, once you figure out how to set it up to work with your TV/sound bar, the volume and power buttons make it a great replacement for several remotes. With that being said, it was fairly difficult (and frustrating) to pair with my TV/sound bar. The instruction manual is POORLY written, with several large errors. I basically had to figure it out on my own via trial and error. For reference, I have a Samsung 55" Smart TV and a Samsung 2.1 channel sound bar. I had to use one of the programmable buttons on the remote to allow the sound bar to be turned on/off via the remote. Once I figured it out, I was happy with it overall.

This remote is the best remote to ever remote a PlayStation.

I have always purchased remotes for all my PlayStation systems and they have all been great. This is no different as I am able to fully program the remote to control my TV as well as my PlayStation 4. I really like the new slim look and the feel of the remote in my hands. Really easy to use and to program as the manual has most of the program codes to help program the TV, Cable Box or Amplifier (receiver).

When it comes to control if a ps4 this is a must have so you don't have to keep turning on your controller to do anything. Perfect for watching Netflix or watching movies.

No need to power up your controller when you can control it all with this remote. From sound bars to the latest TV never control Netflix wroth the ps4 controller again!
