This remote is Great for those who do not like using game system controllers for other system functions. Easy set up to link to you PS4.

Finally an officially licensed remote for the PS4. It's about time! It works pretty darn good. It does need better functionality with apps like Netflix and Hulu - where it is used primarily BUT you must use the controller based buttons and not stop and play and skip to control things.

i had the exact remote for the PS3, and i like that one better. this one theres a bit of a delay from pressing a command to the PS4 doing the command. i think it was because the last remote was connected through bluetooth and this one is inferred, it is nice to have this because if you just use your PS4 controller it stays connected the whole time and drains the battery pretty quick so having to recharge the controller over and over again is a bit annoying so i am glad i have this remote and it is worth it. another good thing is that you can control multiple media components as well just like cable box or just the tv itself.

Awesome remote, a must have if you want to watch movies and music on your PlayStation 4 without having to drain your gaming controller

Only snag with this product is you have to hit the ps4 button if not used much during movie play. Everything else works wonderfully

This remote is OK. It does the job, wish i didn’t have to keep “waking it up” everytime I want to use it. Other than that, decent remote.

I really like this remote and for the most part does exactly what I wanted it for. I switched my cable to Playstation Vue(which has been great) and wanted a remote to browse channels just like I had with my old cable provider. This remote works well for that, but for some reason when I control the volume on my Sonos system and then click the PS4 button on the remote to control the app I am currently using, it takes me out of the app to the Playstation main screen. It isn't a big deal, but gets kind of annoying. I would still buy this remote if I had it to do over, just wish I knew why it keeps doing that.

This is a remote that connects via Bluetooth, so you don't need to actually point it at the PS4. However, this also means the battery dies faster and the remote needs to be actively powered to maintain connection. To save power, the remote goes into a sleep/off mode. This seems all well and good... Until you are watching a video, try to pause, and the remote has to 'wake up'. After it wakes, the PS4 automatically goes back to the main PS4 menu (as if you pressed the PS Button, even if you didn't). Yes, this means any button takes you out to the PS4 menu after waking. Extremely annoying if the video service you are using isn't overly friendly with being taken out of the app. This is especially prominent when using Sony's own video apps. Other than that, it works solidly as a TV Remote and has plenty of functions. The PS4 doesn't stand up to the Xbone in terms of theater control, but this remote can make it manageable. The Xbone with an IR Blaster/Connect does a much better job.

I use my PS4 watching blurays. This remote was definitely a welcome addition. It controls my amp, tv, cable box as well as the PS4.

this remote has worked significantly better than our Roku remote, while still allowing us to enjoy netflix, hulu, etc

This is so much easier to use than a ps4 controller and is universal so it takes the place of the tv remote as well.

If you have a PS4 then this accessory is a must have!! It makes it so much easier to navigate thru the menus and other streaming apps! It works great! Only bummer is the AAA batteries that it lives off of. Try finding those in those the junk drawer at home.

great product, easy to set up and use. So much better to use for watching movies instead of using the the traditional controller.

I purchased a PS4 and the only remote was the controller, which wasn't a good option because I stream movies and use the Blu Ray player often. My PS3 remote was not compatible either. The only bad things about this remote are: 1- it goes into a shut down mode I guess to save battery, so I have to re-engage it by pushing the PS button and wait a couple seconds. 2- it does not have any lighting- no glow in the dark buttons, back light, etc... It is the only remote compatible to use with the PS4, so I will have to learn to live with it!

This is a great addition to my PS4. You don't have to remember unique buttons to use and the controller that comes with the PS4.

Waited for along time of a classical remote control to play movies on the PS4. Finally it has happened. I am simply using the basic controls, but they are more familiar to me than the equivalent on the game controller.

Absolute game changer for me. I hated turning on my controller for simple functions and this solves that problem.

Great remote. Performs as expected. Only annoyance is that it times out and has to be reactivated every so often.

Must have if you use the ps4 to watch movies. Great features. Auto off and Bluetooth are nice. Very slender and lightweight.

Great responsive remote that can sync up with most tvs to have a all in one remote!
