I been looking for a PlayStation remote for some time now. Now I love this one works on the tv ps4 hand down great remote..

Although it is not needed it is great to have. Very quick and easy to set up. I use my PS4 more for multimedia and movies instead of games so using an actual remote as opposed to my gaming controller. I caught it on sale for $20, but at regular price it is still worth it if you prefer not to use your PS4 controller.

The remote works as advertised for the most part... You can control the PS4 just fine and there is a volume pass-through so you can change that on your TV without switching between remote settings. The remote does have some quirks, however, like it will sometimes lose sync with a PS4 even after restart. I've noticed this happens if you start certain games with the remote instead of the controller you intend to use. You'll have to remove the device from your PS4 and resync; and that process itself can be a pain since it can take your PS4 a while to search for your remote when syncing.

Finally a remote worth the money. Works great, only wish there was an on/off switch on the remote, that is because if you watch something for too long it powers down on it's own and you have to push the PS4 button to reactivate and wait for it to resync with the PS4

Nothing really to say here...it performs as it should. Much easier than using a controller to watch movies.

This remote works pretty good with the media player on the PS4 except for the Vudu app,but other than that it works well.

It works, sorta. I mean you can navigate through must things. But- it's buttons are super small. You have to pick each devise to control individually from the small buttons. So the volume button won't control the sound bar if you yo select PS. Also when the remote shuts down, instead of being able to hit the large PS logo button to activate the remote. You have to select the small and crowded button at the top. If there was another option for an non-game controller remote, I'd take it. Come on Sony! Let the PS3 remote work on the PS4! That remote was great. This new one is just frustrating.

I find this very useful when using the PS4 as a DVD player. Much easier than using one of the controllers to operate.

I like the remote, however it's functionality with Huluand Netflix just isn't there yet. I figured you could use the Play, Pause, etc with them, but no dice. Also cannot get my soundbar to program to the remote, but now down to just two remotes instead of 5.

It's a great remote and does what I need it to do, but not all apps are programmed for it. For instance, Hulu doesn't work with the remote so I have to watch Hulu elsewhere if I want to navigate the app.

Didn't feel like wearing down the charge on my controller so I picked this up instead and it has worked great so far.

Remote is what you would expect it to be. The one major problem I have with it is it does not work with all the apps completely. The major one that I use is Hulu and you cannot control anything with it

I bought this since my area finally got PSVue and I like being able to control the ps like a tv/dvr while watching tv and dvds now. Only thing slightly annoying is you have to always re-engage the ps4 with the remote but its not reason to not get it (you just have to hit the ps4 button) . But yeah i like it.

Not sure when this came out, but I was happy to see it. Alot easier to operate when watching movies and streaming!

Good product for a remote paired with your PS4, but it would be nice if the buttons lit up when you're watching a movie or TV. It would've been nice to have Sony make an official remote for the PS4 as they did for the PS3. Why they didn't? I'm not sure.

I love the remote and it works great, but the one annoyance would be it goes to sleep like the controller does. Meaning, after watching a show for a while you have to push the PS button down again to wake it up before you can use it. I know it is due to the remote using Bluetooth. It isn't a deal breaker, but it is something to test the first few days after purchase to see if you can live with it. Since we don't use it that often, I didn't spend a lot of time researching to see if there is a way to fix this by extending the time-out or anything.

Yes, you can use the PS4 controller to watch video content.. but battery life is a huge issue with the controllers. and it just isn't intuitive to use for watching videos. This remote solves those problems. I had the PS3 version previously, and waited eagerly for them to finally release a PS4 version.

I gave this to my brother in-law for Christmas and he was very happy with it, it make watching movies much easier

You would think the remote could be used for Playstation 3 since it's a universal remote. Also the remote loses connecting or something. While watching movies ever so often you have to press any button on the remote to prevent the remote from disconnecting. If it does disconnect nothing works and you have to hit the PS4 button to reconnect the remote. Other than those issues, the remote is fine. Haven't connected to any other gadgets yet and probably never will.

Use it with my PS4. Pairs nicely. Runs smooth. No complaints. You can even sync other devices to it.
