This is great universal remote. There are a couple different reasons why I gave this 4 stars instead of 5. It turns the tv on very slow. The remote goes into sleep mode within about 15 minutes. So you need to turn the remote back on for any Bluetooth function. The circle and x button do not work in the Hulu app but they do for everything else, so it is irritating because there is no back button for Hulu, you need to close the app. Other than that, it is a great remote. It has quick responsive button functions. Easily programs to most newer tv's.

I bought this remote so that I don't have to use my controller every time I want to watch Netflix or Hulu especially because of the fact that if you accidentally touch the analog sticks on the controller when watching a show, the show will either fast forward or go back. However, the only thing that I would like to see improve with this remote is the fact that when I am using the Hulu app, I cannot just press "O" to go back a page and instead I have to completely exit the app and log back in in order to just go back to the home screen to select another show.

It's a Bluetooth/IR remote that once it's setup is easy to use by anyone. It has all the buttons from the PS4 controller along with TV and DVD functions. The best part is the universal features to control the TV, Amp, and Cable/Sat box via IR. Setup takes some time depending on your setup. I had to do a code search for a good 5 minutes to find a TCL/Roku code that fully worked, not just power and volume. My old Sony Amp was quicker with the third code entered manually. The manual mentioned IR learning where you can take your original remote and program the buttons on this remote to do what you want, which is nice to have. I'm happy with my remote as my TV's Roku remote always seems to disappear and watching disc movies using the controller is awkward for the nongamers.

I have enjoyed using this remote for watching apps on my PS4. However you need to realize that it doesn't work with all of the apps. It works great with Youtube but doesn't work at all with Hulu.

Well worth the price. The PS4 controller is very touchy so this is a great remote to manage all video content.

Perfect usage when you don't have to have your controller. Easier to use than controller when playing movies!

I bought this remote control because some of the control mappings were different between DVD, Blu Ray, and streaming services. This remote simplifies all of that by dedicating buttons for specific controls. Play, reverse, advance, stop, etc. are all controlled using the same buttons across each of the different media offerings listed above. Also, when using a PS4 controller, accidentally bumping it would cause a shoulder button to be pressed and the program I was watching would then advance or go in reverse. Then remembering which button would pause, stop, or play would be a guessing game I did not like to play. Additionally, I was able to program my TV and sound bar easily with this remote. The only drawback - and it's a minor one - is that the remote seems to go to sleep after a few minutes. I'll pick it up to adjust the volume and then may need to turn it on again by pressing the [AMP] button, even if it was the last device I controlled.

I purchased this because I didn't like having to use the PS4 controller to navigate Netflix, Amazon Prime and such apps. The dualshock 4 would stay on, just drain the batter and yes you can manually turn the controller off but why have to do all that in the first place. I got this universal media remote (made by pdp) for $10 and it well worth it to me. I have to say it feels a little more "cheap" than the PS3 version (made by Sony) and the buttons are a bit more cramped IMO. But it works well and I use it for navigating non-gaming apps on my PS4.

Works well and handy for people who not acustomed to the PS4 controller. I just wish that it would not automatically disconnect after 30 min.

Great remote just not as efficient as you would think. The initial set up was easy to follow.

Several problems with this. First off, this is the official remote, but it's not a Sony product. It's licensed. The build quality is less than the old PS3 remote. It's skinnier, lighter, and less comfortable. The texture on the plastic is not the same as on the controllers. The buttons are tiny. Second, the number keys don't work in PS4 mode. So if you have an app like Plex where you need to enter a PIN, you have to do that with the arrow keys.... so everybody can see your pin while you're typing it in. Third, it's short on buttons. No L1,2,3 or R1,2,3, etc. So if you have an app that isn't specifically programmed to respond to a remote's FF/RW buttons, but uses L2 and R2 instead, you have to go back to the controller. Fourth, it has a volume punch through feature, but it only works with the "TV" mode. So it will send the volume keys to your TV in PS4 mode, but you can't make it send the volume to AMP or CBL. So if you have any sort of home theater setup and your audio doesn't go through your TV, you're plain out of luck.

I have everything Sony and Best Buy makes everything so much easier to get, use, and has the best warranty.

This remote is the most used item with our PS4. If you watch BluRay, or use Net Flicks, you gotta have it.

It's okay, kind of quirky. The universal remote part works great but the PS4 funtionality isn't fully compatible. There really isn't another option so I'm content with it.

Much easier to use than the controller, with more available options.

It is super easy to use, less clunky then using the controller, and makes watching videos more enjoyable

Works great on my ps4 just as I hoped. Works on movies and Netflix.
