This remote did exactly what I wanted, an easy way to control movies (DVD or Blu-Ray) on my PS4. I don't understand why the controls are different between DVD and Blu-Ray on the dualshock controller? The one thing that would have been nice is for the remote to remember the volume control always goes to the Amp, right now you have to hit AMP mode to control volume and then hit PS4 mode to control the PS4. It should know that the PS4 doesn't control volume and always go to the AMP for volume control.

I love the remote. It's easier to use than the controller.

It was very easy to set-up for use with both the PS4 and my TV. It works great, but the batteries die very fast. Hence the 4 stars.

So far this seems to make it very easy to switch from soundbar to TV and to PS4. It drains batteries kind of fast though.

This is a must if you have the PS Vue app as it makes channel surfing much easier!

I no longer have to have my ps4 controller and tv remote in the bed, just this 1 flat remote.

This remote is good and it is way better than the dualshock 4 for playing movies and netflix

I love this little remote. I had one for the PS3 and have been waiting for one to come out for PS4. It is definitely worth the money. It actually worked to program my Onkyo surround sound and I have never been able to get a universal remote to do that. Very happy.

PDP has put out several revisions of their PS4 Media Remote, all of which have seem much criticism online. Lack of functionality or strange design choices, each version of the remote has been sanctioned by Sony nonetheless - but this revision is the real deal. Volume punch through and a standard remote control size, shape, and weight all help to make this a worthwhile purchase.

Much more Convenient than the gaming controller. A must for people with kids.

Just cut the cord and signed up with Playstation Vue and I needed a remote control. This remote does the trick. Was able to pair it with my TV and receiver as well so I'm not using the PS4 controller or having to use multiple remotes to watch TV. Only downside is that it goes into sleep mode after 10 minutes in order to save the battery as this links to the PS4 via bluetooth. Can be a little annoying but if it saves my batteries then I can live with it.

It works just like any other dvd/blueray player remote. Easy to use. I'm glad I bought .

The remote works ok. I have the remote setup to run my PS4, my Samsung TV, my Sony receiver, and my Apple TV. It works everything pretty well, the biggest issue is that the remote goes to sleep about every 15 minutes and has to be reconnected before it will work the PS4 again. The other issue is if you don't use the remote for the PS4 for a few days you have to re pair it with the PS4 or it won't work,

Good working remote for watching blu Rays or Netflix

This remote makes watching movies easy on PS4. The only reason that I did not give it 5 stars is because I personally don't like the sleep feature that requires you to hit a button prior to performing a function.

Love it cause I don't have to use game controler and recharge it everytime

The remote replaced my DirecTV remote and TV remote. Makes watching DVD/BluRays easier.

It pairs easily and is much easier to use than the dual shock controllers
