Finally the official remote for PS4! Works perfectly!

Worked well, was able to use it on my old sony receiver. Most cheaper universal remotes wouldn't. Plus it makes it easier to watch movies on ps4. After a week it started acting weird and wouldn't work on ps4 at all. (Currently) Will be taking to Best Buy and exchanging it this weekend. Sony gaming stuff is good. Just got a very rare lemon. Would buy again. Works on old insignia tv also.

This remote has been a life saver no more worries bout having 2 controllers to enjoy tv, only down side would be that battery seems to die a little fast it's at 3 bars now out of 4 and also it's a tad bit annoying having to press a button to switch from tv to ps4 when say I try to lower the volume but overall it's better than dealing with 2 remotes

As far as the look and feel of this remote, it's close to Sony's PS3 remote. However, it's operations are fickle - it would time out after a few minutes and I'd have to reconnect via Bluetooth, which would get bothersome, to say the least. Now, all it does is turn on the console...that's it. It won't navigate, select, or even turn off the console (even though it can turn it on, go figure).

This was a awesome buy works great with my Playstation my TV and stereo. I love all the functions and how easy it is to use different beats out any other remote also you can't beat the price.

This one doesn't turn on your ps4 when pushing a button but having to hit the ps4 button to activate it can be annoying. Other than that its pretty solid.

Finally, the PS4 has a media remote similar to what the PS3 had to offer. It's been improved a bit, as just breathing on it no longer causes the console to turn on (a problem I had with the PS3 version). Now you pair the remote to your system and turn it on by holding the PS button. Unless the system is in rest mode, then that doesn't work. Why? Don't know. You can hold down the PS4 button on the top instead, which seems to work when the system is in rest mode. On the plus side, I bought this for use with PS Vue, Sony's internet TV service, and it's great for that and much easier for someone who isn't used to the PS4's controller (like my wife) to work. Other issues include the way the interface is utilized with certain apps, or un-utilized, as is often the case. Not making all the buttons from the PS4 controller represented on the remote was a huge oversight, meaning app makers now have to remap certain controls to new buttons that don't actually correspond to anything documented, which is problematic when your device releases nearly two years after the system its meant to work with. Additionally, I played a game while still having the media remote active, and that screwed up how it functioned big time (no idea why). I had to make the PS4 forget the remote, then add it back to fix the issue, but that worked.

I got this on sale for 10 bucks. It works well enough for that price point. Would I have paid full price? No. My problem with the remote is although it does its job flawlessly when watching a Blu-Ray/DVD, it does not work with all the different TV apps. Works with some, not all. Gets a bit frustrating.

I like it, but it's kind of annoying when you have to press ps4 or TV every time you want to use the volume buttons when watching something in your ps4

works as a universal remote for your tv and a blueray remote for ps4. works great. devours AAA batteries faster than i would like, also didnt have codes for my av reciever. if you have more than a tv and a ps4 i recommend a Logitech Harmony, you wont regret it. handles my ps3, ps4, computer, tv, av receiver, tape deck, phono, and 5 disc changer.

Maybe this is operator error, but I bought this remote and was very excited to set it up with my ps4. We ended up not needing it because we got remotes with our cable, so it sat in a box for a year and a half. When I went to set it up today, it won't turn on. It's not even that I'm having trouble pairing it, it just won't respond to anything even with new batteries. There is no corrosion on the connections or anything. Maybe it's just my remote, but I feel like if it's simply sitting in a box it should still work after that amount of time. I am saying I would recommend it because I'm sure it's probably just my device because the functionality that it's supposed to have is pretty good.

Overall this is a good remote for controlling my PS4. The reason I deducted a star from the rating is because the remote is not back lit and it times out after a while and when you go to use it again you have to push a button and give it a couple of seconds to connect with the console. This was never an issue with any of my PS 3 consoles and media remotes.
