I prefer to use remote for media over a controller. So happy to have this but disappointed that Sony doesn't make its own. PS3 remote is still the best. My two issues are the button placement (remote is long too) and auto shut off, so have press PS button and reconnect. These are not that big of a deal but worth mentioning.

It works well for a universal remote but the volume and channel buttons are not dedicated and you have to switch between modes.

I would have given this 5 stars if the PlayStation controls didn't shut off after so long. I was able to program it for all of my devices but after about 10 minutes the Bluetooth part that controls the PS4 shuts off. This is only irritating because I no longer have cable and use it to control my PlayStation Vue account.

I could not stand using the PS4 controller for media playback so I have been waiting for an official first party remote. The remote works well controls the PS4 media functions without issue. I did have a little trouble connecting the remote to the system the first time.

I went from four remotes down to just this one. Very easy to program so that you can get the basic functions of all your other remotes. Things like cable TV or satellite remotes have too many options to fit into this, but if you want power, volume, and a couple of other frequently used options, you're in luck.

Great controller and easy to setup for other devices. The biggest issue with this is, you can't control your 'amp' device volume while in another device mode. How can you fail at that? So unless your TV device button controls your TV and audio all in one programming mode then this is gonna be a pain in the butt as it is to me.

It is ok. But it keeps disconnecting from my ps4..

Works as advertised, even has 4 buttons which can be programmed independently. I don't mind using the Dual Shock 4 controller but the wife did so bought this I did lol. I control my 70" Vizio TV and Sony HTST5 soundbar with no problems using this remote.

It's a light controller and has a lot of features. I was able to pair with my Sony TV but for some reason it would not pair with my Sony receiver after 5 times I gave up. The remote shuts off meaning you have to wake it up by selecting PS4, or TV or whatever and then inputting the function such as volume, channel.

I mean it's a remote that does what it should... Pretty self explanatory. I use it when needed and hasn't failed me yet.

FINALLY! A REAL MEDIA REMOTE FOR THE PS4! AFTER ALMOST 2 YEARS, THERE IS A REMOTE FOR THE PS4. IT CONTROLS ALL THE THINGS YOU WANT (POWER, BLU RAY, PSN, ETC...). FOR THOSE OF YOU THAT HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR A MEDIA REMOTE FOR THE PS4, YOUR PRAYERS ARE ANSWERED!

I was fairly excited when I heard about the Blu-ray PS four remote. So much so that I avoided reading reviews and just bought the thing. The PS four remote is much thinner than the PS3 remote and feels cheaply made. Also one pair of aaa batteries lasted me a grand total of one week before the remotes completely died .

If you're going to be using you're PS4 to watch TV or movies then this is a must. Using the controller works OK for a while but when you go to pause a movie only to find the controller off or you set the controller down only to hit the L2 or R2 button you'll wish you had this. My only complaint is the small buttons.

The reason I got this remote was for PlayStation vue it works better than I expected. After that they're a couple of things it could work on like if you want to turn up the volume you have to piush the tv button instead they should have it turn up the volume by default. Overall it's a good product No complaints.

I always had the media remote for my PS3, so when I got a PS4, I went ahead and got this media remote for it. I tend to use my PS4 just as much for playing various media formats as I use it for gaming, and certainly a remote like this makes it far easier to use than a game controller. This is a very full-featured remote, and can be used as a universal remote for other devices such as a TV set, amplifier, and cable TV box. I have far more devices than that, but every little bit helps, so I use its universal remote features when I'm using it with the PS4.

Worked well enough for about 3 months. Couple weeks ago it stopped working with DVDs/Blu-rays in the PlayStation, which was kind of the point of it. Then about a week ago it stopped working entirely with the PlayStation, but the console could still recognize it. Today, it finally died. At least I'm assuming that's what has happened. I tried to perform a reset according to the manufacturer's instructions and it just sits there, no signs of life and not recognized by the console. Oh well. I wasn't fond of how I had to hit the TV input first to change volume, my old Logitech remote would change volume no matter which device was selected.

Had some problems setting the remote up to the TV. This is very different to the PS3 version. Overall works good.

i was glad it wasn't too big and still looked great even though not mounted - I did expect a little better sound

I was looking for a remote for my PS4 when I came across this. I had been searching for a while for one and was hesitant because there have been many poor quality remotes released in the past. I have yet to run into any issues or have any problems with the remote it paired via bluetooth on the first try. Speaking of bluetooth I was surprised this remote had bluetooth. Good remote functions as it should and does what it was designed for. Just wish it had a headphone jack to attach earphones for audio.

It is great for watching blu rays on your PS4, but a couple of caveats when trying to use it as an universal remote. It cannot control volume from a receiver and a cable box at the same time, requiring constant switching between devices. Also, not all video apps on the PS4 support the remote currently
