I really liked my official PS3 remote, this one is not quite as good but does the job.

We use our PS 4 for watching movies as well as playing games. Using a controller at times was a bit challenging for me since each app (Amazon Prime, Netflix, etc.) seemed to have different buttons for different actions. The reviews for the older PS 4 remotes were not very good, so I waited until a better one came out, and I'm so glad I did. It much easier now to fast forward, reverse, pause, and play movies now, no matter the app or if you are watching a DVD. I highly recommend it!

this is a good size remote,not to small/not to big.just wish the sleep feature could be adjusted .

Since I’ve had this remote I’ve rearranged my home theater setup a couple times, and each time re-syncing the remote to a new set of devices was so easy. I used to manual code entry and the search options and both have worked well. The manual code entry is significantly easier and more efficient in my opinion, but all in all, this is a great universal remote for your ps4 home theater. No complaints this far.

This is a pretty good remote, but it took me a few minutes to figure out how to sync it to the ps4.

Ok so it was meh at first but not because of the functionality but I just didn’t use it as much as I’d thought....then SOMETHING changed and we were all home more than before we had ever been and watching so many streaming services and switching from that to playing the occasional game in between is where this gem came thru like a shining beacon of hope to a frustrated papa bear! Worth every penny for sure!

Finally a good remote for the PS4! But it still feels like a downgrade compared to the ones made for the PS3. Oddly this is not made by Sony but PDP. Great to finally watch BluRay discs and stream movies on the PS4 with no need of the game controller but still feels like a let down.

This remote does what it advertises. It works well with the PS4. The only flaw/issue is that it turns off after sitting for a couple of minutes. A bit weird if you are watching a movie. Other than that, you will be pleased.

Does the job with DirecTV and simplifies life if you're an avid TV/Netflix/PS4 video viewer. One big problem is the lack of back light on the controller. Nearly impossible to maneuver at night or when watching TV with the lights off. But still the best option on the market.

Purchased this as I didn't want to use my controller when using Playstation Vue. Seems to work fine except for needing to reconnect it all the time to bluetooth when it hasn't been used for about an hour. Also some buttons not on remote, but don't need them very often

Overall this is a good setup. The only issue is it doesn't seem to respond on the first attempt

This remote is exactly what we needed to make movie watching more enjoyable. Very versatile and compatible. Overall, I love it and it will make watching netflix, amazon, or adjusting TV volume much easier now that I won't have to switch in between a TV remote and a controller.

The remotes pretty good but some buttons don't work on hulu which can get annoying.. also difficult to set up to tv as a universal remote if u don't have the code needed.. aside from that it's better then using your controller to watch netflix since the controller dies

wmWhile you still need a functioning controller to sync with this remote, it makes searching, rewinding, pausing etc much easier when you're streaming through the playstation. Making quarantine a tad easier.

It's not as good as the universal remote Sony made for the PS3, but it does the job. It doesn't feel as solid as the previous remote and it's missing a few buttons the other one had, but it is still better than using the controller all the time for non-gaming activities.

Had one of these for my PS3. Make it much easier to use when I'm using the streaming functions on my PS4, especially since I have to share with my dad. Also allows me to save the battery on the controllers for the games.

Though it does everything I want, it is often annoying to have to hit the TV or PlayStation button veggie coding the option I want. But, overall, a vast improvement over using the controller to control DVDs.

This PS4 remote works like a charm- just like the previous remote I had for my PS3. The only issue I had with this was it didn’t pair with the PS4 as easily as the instructions said; it took several attempts before it finally paired.

Bought it to use with Onkyo Receiver, Sony projector and a PS4. Works with PS4 and the receiver. Still haven't been able to connect to the projector. Auto pairing feature is cool but takes a while. For the price, I definitely recommend if you own a PS4.

I haven't had many occasions to use this remote yet and the couple of times I have used it the responsiveness has been iffy but it seems to work well enough. We just switched from cable TV to Playstation Vue and the remote is much easier to use than the controller.
