We use our PS4 like a tv so having a TV remote was beneficial. IT is really hard on battery usage, but durable and works. A little tricky for the not so technical person to figure out, but once you get the hang of it, works like a charm.

This universal remote is really useful for watching Netflix/Hulu on the PS4.

Its a pretty good remote, only thing it is missing is the shoulder buttons which would be useful for fast foward and rewind for apps that dont recognize those buttons. You dont really need this if your controller is nearby all the time.

I like this remote allot, have ps3 remote that I got free with rewards points so when I got a ps4, I realized that this would be handy. Also works as universal remote so makes it even better. Only down side is I wish the volume buttons worked with all remote inputs but not too big a deal, handy for bluray/DVD movies and Netflix/Hulu. Have noticed doesn't work with Crackle or Epix apps but don't use those too often so not too big a problem.

Got this because I was tired of having to charge my controller often while browsing on YouTube or watching stuff on Netflix. This really helps with all the video apps, now I just use my other controller while playing, recommended.

I got this remote to use my PS4 without having to use a regular controller for streaming services - some of those services (Hulu for example) don't recognize most of the buttons so it's hard to use - i.e. the back button does not take you out of the show to the series page. Not the remote's fault though.

I have a PS4 and XBOX one. This remote is a better remote than the one for Xbox one, because you can program it to a lot more devices. I spilled a glass of water on it. All I did was dry it off and let it set for 12 hours. Tip: Keep a plastic bag of the silica packet that you get from random electronics. When you have something you want to dry out, put it in there. Good for cell phones.

I got this remote because I own a PS4 so I wanted to get this so I could have something for me collection. It's an easy to use and program. If you read the guide and you'll be fine.

I picked this up a couple of weeks ago and it does the job, but it should be no more than $20. I have read reviews on other sites about the issues with it when it comes to movie playback. I personally can't confirm or deny them since I don't watch blu-ray movies on it (have a stand alone player for that).

we were used to having this type of universal media remote for our PS3, so we got this for the PS4 when we got it, but it's just not as good, and the kids would rather just use the game remotes to control the media. there's nothing at all wrong with the remote, we just find that we don't really need it.

So this remote is great for use with a TV and the PS4, but it does this weird thing where it will turn off when not actively being used like a PS4 controller. It is pretty annoying, but once you get use to it the controller is alright.

I kept trying to watch Netflix, Hulu, and blu-rays on my PS4 at night and one little bump on the gaming controller would have dire consequences. I would lose up to 3 minutes of TV watching time to get back to where I was. This fixed that! (Also as a challenge, if this quarantine is getting you down, try playing a video game with the TV remote it's hilarious)

It works, but that's about it. I can switch between TV and PS4 actions (volume, power, channel switching), which is cool, but there's some universal stuff that's missing. For example, I still have to use my TV remote to switch inputs.

i got tired of using multiple remotes for my sound bar, tv, & ps4 so i finally decided to get a multi remote and this is amazing. easy to set up using the auto code finder and being able to allow the volume keys to stay locked on the sound bar no matter what device i'm using is great. the only down side is that i wish i could lock other keys. still a great buy.

I bought this remote to use while watching Netflix as well as the PlaystationVue network. Works great for Netflix but doesn't work very well with the current PlaystationVue interface.

The Playstation 4 blu ray media remote is an essential accessory to get the most out of the system. The remote works great with the Crunchyroll and Youtube apps as well as the PS4 Media Player. I can now keep my fully charged PS4 controller for gaming, instead of having to constantly turn it on and off in order to conserve the battery life. If you have any sort of video subscription app on your PS4, you definitely need this remote.

Works well as a remote for playing blue ray discs on the PS4 which was the intended purpose for my use of this product. Functionality and ease of use are comparable to the remote that was available for the PS3. Recommended for this purpose.

This remote works well for controlling my PlayStation 4 Pro. But it has a few small issues: 1) The mute button is minute and recessed, so you need to grow at least 1 of your fingernails to be able to press it enough to have it function. 2) The number of devices which are able to be controlled by each of the various device buttons is very small. If you own a McIntosh vacuum tube preamp you cannot ever control it with this remote (so I can't control my audio source with it). In addition, you cannot control DVD/Blu-ray devices with it. 3) The remote is far smaller than an average man's hand. So if you want to do anything quickly you cannot pick it up and position it well enough to get to the buttons you need/want. Apart from the above it is generally a quality remote control.

THis is a good remote that works as intended. I was worried that the battery would be the same as a PS4 controller, but far from it. Been using this thing regularly (daily) for a few months, and the PS4 still shows 3/3 bars of battery. It synced with all my entertainment system and tv (both much older models). It's also easy to use and get used to. Great for us since we dropped cable and watch all are tv via the PS4 now.
