I mostly use our PS4 for movie watching and have almost no experience with the controller for gaming. The remote is a great alternative for non-gaming use.

The remote is mostly for someone who's not familiar with holding a controller and working one to use the BluRay player. It doesn't really add anything, but does make it easier for those unfamiliar.

Works well when my PS4 decides to see it over/in addition to the gamepad. I was easily able to set it up as universal remote for TV and stereo systems. Happy with that. Battery life is excellent.

Missing some features. Also, remote "times out" quite frequently. If you are using Netflix or some streaming service on ps4, this remote becomes annoying because you have to press ps4 button on menu first each time you want to stop play or any function.

Good remote for use on PS4. Only thing I don’t like is it disconnects automatically even when in use and shape buttons were removed from this version unlike ps3 version.

Anyone who watches Media on their PS4 wether it be Vue, Netflix, Hulu, over a Media Server, etc.. this is for you. The batteries last maybe 2 months with daily use but you have to remember it is bluetooth. You will forget about your tv remote in no time and just use this one. Build quality is great and doesn't have that cheap plastic feel. It compliments the PS4 perfectly.

Easier to use for the rest of the console if you're not playing the games. Should come with it instead of only the game remotes.

The media remote for the ps4 is great. I can use it with my cable box ,TV, and receiver along with my ps4. when I watch DVD's or blue ray it is easier to handle than the controller. nice add on.

I use my PS4 (PS4 Pro now) to watch Playstation Vue and Netflix in my game room and hated having to use the controllers. Picked this up and now don't have to anymore. Pairs easy, works great.

Saw a lot of people posting about volume push through problems, I haven't had any issues with that however there are issues with the volume button itself. Most of the time you hold it down it only goes one number instead of multiple - so basically you have to push the volume up/down button multiple times to get it to where you want it. The bluetooth connection is finicky but you get used to it. When the remote isn't used for a while you have to push the "PS4" blue button to reconnect - stay patient it takes 5 seconds. Kind of a hassle but having one remote that works completely with our TV, Pioneer Surround Sound, and PS4 is great - especially for the price.

This remote is just that, a typical remote designed to work with you PS4 just as you could purchase with the PS3. However while this remote is nice and has the same/similar features and compatibilities as the PS3 remote option it's battery life is sub par. Sadly this remote sucks the life out of batteries very very quickly. I think the batteries maybe lasted a couple weeks if that. I'm not sure why it seems to eat them so fast, but it was a huge disappointment. If you're going to purchase one, I'd invest in recharagable batteries for it.

I tried using the standard game remote to watch movies on the PS4, but that was a pain in the butt. I could struggle through it, but my wife complained all the time. This remote makes it easy to navigate the screens of movies. It would have been nice if the PS3 media remote worked. It seems unnecessary to make us buy nearly the exact same thing for PS4.

The product works well with the PlayStation IV. Connection is easy and the device works like a TV remote to control your PlayStation.

I love having one remote. Only complaint is that there is not a button to turn all items off at once. Got to turn off the os4 then then the tv.

This is a great remote for the PS4, it works with virtually every app and can be configured to work with your TV as well. This remote is bluetooth, so you don't even have to point it your devices. Best of all, by using this you can leave your Dual Shock Controller to the side and not have to worry about having a low charge because of watching Netflix and other apps.

This is a great remote for the ps4 but does not use full use on some apps. Some apps tell you to press X and when I press X on the remote it does not work butt overall it's a good product

Great when a controller is needed to watch movies or use the browser. I found when pairing the controller press the ps4 button then perform the procedure, otherwise its a long wait.

Not sure why Sony don't make their own. This isn't from them. It works but you have to pair it with the PS4 every time you use it. Not quite as elegant as the PS3 remote from Sony.

This remote in my opinion is the best one on the market to use with the Playstation 4. It has all the dedicated keys of a remote and PS4 keys.

If you are buying to work for your PS3 and PS4 it will not work. It is work PS4 only, but has all the great features a media remote should have.
