We watch Netflix and Hulu through my husbands Playstation everyday. My husband doesn't mind using the gaming Playstation remote to toddle through but I am NOT a gamer and had a hard time figuring out which buttons did what. He bought me this remote and I love it! it's simple like a tv remote which is perfect. Now I get to be in control of the remote!

So far so good! Only had to reconnect one time, it just didn't reconnect after I turn off system. Hopefully that is it, TV is other room then PS4 making it a pain to reconnect.

This remote does what it is intended for. Not sure you could ask for any more than that. If you have a lot of devices though, you may be better off with a universal remote.

I can never remember which buttons to use on the traditional PS4 controllers for playing movies, so this is perfect for those of us who can't wrap their head around controllers. If you're watching a long movie, do you need to press the PS button to wake the remote back up to use it. I guess it saves battery life that way.

This remote fills the gap I was in when I moved from PS3 to PS4. It is very useful, but there seems to be an issue where I have to set it to PS4 after some set amount of time.

This remote is bluetooth. It's of typical Sony layout and design and comfortable to use. There are some oddities with it though. Because it's bluetooth it has the same sleep and power up as your normal PS4 remote. Don't expect to pick this up and hit a button like you can on your TV remote. Also, while 98% of the system respects the remote media buttons there are a few areas it does not and you have to revert to the remote style buttons. I bought it on sale and like it overall - just be aware of it's shortcomings.

Although it does not have an “input” button for my Sony TV, does not control my Sony receiver, and randomly turns on my PS4, it is an okay remote for what I need.

Unfortunately the design improved on nothing from the PS3 remote, instead makes it's own functionality more difficult for users

The PS4 remote takes some figuring out, some buttons don't do what you think or should do... the PS3 remote works like a charm... js

Its nice to have a remote for the ps4 and it being universal is cool not all functions work like they should but i bought while it was on sale so i felt like its cool for the price

This is the best thing I ever did when it comes to remotes. I was tired of controlling the ps with the controller. It is much easier with this remote

I purchased this for my fiancé. He had mentioned he needed to get a remote since his PS3 remote was not compatible with his PS4. The remote control has way more buttons than the PS3 remote so you have to get yourself accustom to the new buttons BUT it still worked great. Less of a hassle to use then the PS4 control when watching movies off of the PS4.

Control was easy to setup for my TV. Only con is lack of separate volume controls for TV. While watching movie, I would have to switch back and forth between PS4 and TV

I had been using the game controllers for watching movies and it was just ok for a while. But when my wife wanted to use it for movies it was horrible with the game controllers. This remote made it easy to use. It had everything laid out with the layout. It was similar to the cable remote.

It would be nice if it let you set your audio receiver to the volume control buttons when you have the remote in different modes (i.e. when the remote is in PS4 mode). It doesn't. To utilize the volume controls for your audio receiver you have to press the "amp" button every time to switch the remote into that mode, change the volume, and then press the PS4 button to be able to operate the PS4 again. Kinda dumb. Could've been better designed. Otherwise, it is kind nice to have an actual remote to operate blu-Rays/DVDs tho.

Very good remote for PS4. Easy to set up and use. Will handle all functions seamlessly, if you need a solid remote you cannot go wrong with this one.

I uses my PS4 for most of my media consumption. This remote works well with all the apps I use. The only thing I don't like is how soon it times out.

We're using this to control the PS4, Panasonic TV, and Vizio sound bar. It works great, though it does feel a little flimsy.

It’s a pretty decent remote, my only complaint is it’s a little difficult to use some functions on my smart tv but it’s easy for he basics. Volume, power etc

This is a universal remote designed to work with your PS4. Only drawback is having to sync with the PS4 every time after not using for a while.
