I cut the cord and went to ps vue. The regular controller just felt weird and hard to navigate with. I'm so use to having a tv controller with tv service. I went out and bought this and now feels like I'm using a regular tv controller on a regular tv service now.

this was somewhat difficult to setup and can be tricky at times to use. you really have to go over the manual to get it working properly. all in all not a bad remote if you feel you need something like this for a tv/ps4.

This works exactly how it's supposed to. My only gripe is that since it connects through bluetooth it turns it self off after a while. Presumably to conserve battery power. It's a minor inconvenience.

Love It, don't understand the complaints. Several users have very rough reviews. I love mine. Use it on Blue Ray, Hula, Media, Netflix etc. No issues. Yes the unit power down after 2 min to save battery, but you just tap the power button to wake the remote. That is just like a PS4 controller. I also have the XBOX version. I like the texture on the XBOX remote better, however my PS4 is a better Media player. There is a new smaller version but I prefer this release.

I like having a remote to control alternate to allow my controller to charge while I'm watching Hulu and Netflix. I don't like when I'm watching a show on Hulu I have to come completely out of it and close it out just to pick a different show. Other than that, perfect.

The PS4 is my husband's games system. I use it for media viewing. The remote was necessary because i am not good t controller usage. I returned the remote 3 times thinking it wasn't working before a customer service guy at Best But explained to me what i was doing wrong in trying to set it up. I finally got it working and it works ok. I still wish i could get the PS4 to shut off with it. I can't figure out what R1 or L1 are on the remote. I want to do things that say hit R1 orL1 but nothing on the remote is R1 or L1. I still haven't gotten the rest of the functions to work like tv, receiver cable control is. I still need to use 4 remotes. I m hoping someone who knows this stuff comes to visit me. It does most of what i got it for.

Nice not having to worry about charging the dualshock 4 constantly if you watch a lot of Netflix or are a playstation vue user but might want to invest in rechargeable aaa batteries since they only last a month or so. Also does not work with my lg mini hifi system

I was able to program my TV, PS4 and DirecTV box rather quickly. It works great, battery life is awesome and buttons are easy to reach/find. Only downside is like all PS4 controllers, it has an auto-off function...for instance if I'm watching a movie and I'm 40 minutes into it and try to pause, I actually have to push the PS4 selector button first then wait about 5 seconds before it reconnects and I'm able to pause the movie. Just a slight annoyance but worth it for the battery life.

Was resistant at first to purchase this remote due to the higher price, but after reading troubled reviews on other remotes that cost less, I needed to give it a try. Setup is easy and paired to TV, PS4 and cable box fast. It's a bit small and too long for the hand. Buttons are made of good rubber but small and hard to read with no back-lit. Battery life is very long. The remote does control a lot of functions and is very useful with Netflix, Amazon and other apps on the PS4. I'm happy with the purchase and find it to be worth the price.

Why couldn't they just use the same PS3 remote and slap a PS4 logo on it. After waiting forever for this to release I'm disappointed. This remote tries too hard to be a universal remote, when all I want is a blu-ray remote for my PS4. To that end the buttons are not instinctual like the PS3 remote. I have to keep looking at it to find the buttons I need. The menu buttons are small and half way up the remote away from the other options. The blu-ray functions should all be within a thumbs reach from each other. Anything beats using a game controller, but this is a wasted opportunity.

This remote works pretty well. My only annoyance with it is it goes into a "sleep mode" if you don't use it for a while. To turn it back on, you need the press the PS button and wait for the red light to flash. Then it is is ready for the command.

Programs fairly easily. I really liked that some of the keys can be remapped to other functions depending on what you're controlling. Works well so far. More functionality than the other basic remotes at the same price point.

I do like this remote but boy are some of these buttons really small. It makes it very difficult to use in the dark. Also, I had some issues getting it paired up. It did finally work but I will be looking forward to getting a better universal remote to control all my devices. This thing is supposed to be able to control other devices but it does so at a minimally successful rate. I had to manually enter many functions and it did not automatically find even some of my newer equipment (surround sound receiver, DirecTV receiver, and TV).

I bought this remote, because I wanted to control my television, my PS4, my DVD/blue ray, and my Netflix/HBO Now all with one controller. It is a necessity item if you are using it for movies. No issues with the device.

Not perfect. Takes a while to connect each time you use it. Have to reconnect every time you go a few minutes w/out touching a button. Doesn't have L3 and R3 buttons. Doesn't work with Vudu.

It’s a handy remote than works great with the ps4 and can be used for the tv and cable box.

The remote works great for my TV and PS4, but switching between the modes is harder than it needs to be. Some TV buttons, like the input button, are too small. Overall, it lets guests use the PS4 as a blue ray player.

If You Use you're PS4 For Any sort Of video Viewing, This is a Must Have. I Personally can not stand using a Controller to fast forward, Pause, Or Stop when Watching shows. all the apps have different control settings, and its Hard to keep up with witch button dos what. This Hear Remote, Is as simple as any other to use, across all apps, Blue ray, and DVD. It is also a Universal remote, Like most are these days, So when you hit Play, And This Show Is Ten times Louder Than That Show... You Can Adjust the Volume Quickly, Without Scrambling for the Other remote... CONNIVANCE is Key to Enjoying video Media.

Remote works great with TV and PS4. The big problem, which is very annoying, is that it goes to sleep after a relatively short period of time. I haven't timed it, but it doesn't last a 45 minute show. To wake it back up you have to push the PS button and wait a few seconds for it to re-establish connection. Also, this doesn't work well with all streaming apps. The circle doesn't go 'back' in the hulu app, you have to use a controller. It works great with the media player app, though, so the problem is likely with the hulu app.

Makes watching movies and/or Netflix much simpler. Especially when I want to pause or rewind a bit. It looks like it can also control other devices, but I haven't tried that as I have a Logitech Harmony 1100.
