Finally a remote that is BT supported, officially sponsor by Sony and doesn't requires a USB dongle. About time. The only thing I wish I could change is the sleep function of the remote and the battery issues.

Got this for PS4, wife loves using it to control blu ray and Netflix rather than dual shock controller

I bought this remote to make it easier to use my PlayStation as a bluray player. Works well, but has to be woke up much like the normal gaming remote.

I loved my PS3 media remote, but unfortunately the PS4 version is less than stellar. Compatibility issues with various apps render it almost useless at times (I have yet to find anyway to go back in Hulu) and it goes to sleep after 30 minutes and takes ~5 seconds to wake back up. Not recommended.

This is much easier to use then your actual ps4 remote controller. It runs on battery so you don't have to waste time charging your controller over and over again. Also, you wont mistakenly press the wrong buttons on the controller anymore.

I bought this because I needed to replace a previous universal I was using. The set up was quick and easy and it paired rather quickly. Works as well as expected, nothing fancy.

We recently got PS Vue, and this remote is much easier to use for that than the regular controller. Outside of out TV & PS4, we were also able to sync it to our soundbar on the programmable buttons for volume control. It works as expected!

This remote is really good for anyone that uses their PS4 to play movies or any other media on the system. If I had one small gripe, I wish I didn't have to always hit the TV button to change the TV volume if I was previously controlling the PS4. Not a huge deal but it is quite obvious that the only thing that needs volume control is a TV so I wish it was hard coded to always be active for the TV.

It took a few tries before my PS4 recognized the remote, but once it did, the remote has worked perfectly.

The remote works well with the system, especially with Vue. Difficult to use with Hulu and Netflix though.

Great remote. It does the job. It could get little complicated but you will get used to it in no time.

I have a Sony 4K TV, Sony Sound Bar, and a PS4. I use my PS4 for gaming and TV (Hulu, Netflix, Vue). The remote doesn't control sound unless you change it from PS4 to TV. And in Hulu the PS4 buttons do not work, except for home which does work). For Netflix and Vue, it's perfect (other than volume). You'd think that an all Sony product would sync better.

Not a great remote in general. There are not many or if any other options for a remote to use for the PS4 that isn't the controller. This remote has to be 'awakened' to connect with the PS4 and sometimes it won't stay connected. Especially if you try to use it to turn on the PS4 I find it may turn it on and say it is connected but not work. Also with some apps it will not work seamlessly. I've been very frustrated with this as I cut the cord and watch TV via the PS Vue app. It or the app is not designed with this in mind other than being just an extension of the controller. With some of these frustrating problems in mind I tried exchanging it thinking it was just that remote, but the newer one did the same. It really needs a make over if Sony wants to use the console as a universal hub of entertainment. Nobody want to use the controller all the time. Or more importantly, Sony needs to stop being so exclusionary and allow better third parties like Logitech to control the device.

My husband has been looking for this forever. We had the PS3 version when it came out. Looked for the PS4 version forever, but gave up looking when we couldnt find one anywhere. Walked in one day, and there it was. Works great!!

I mainly bought this to watch dvds/blu-rays on the ps4. It works just fine and as expected.

Does exactly what I had hoped. Be sure to pull up instructions to connect your new remote because you can't just push the home button. Takes maybe a minute to read directions while setting up the remote. Great product.
