I found programing the remote was a breeze, I was able to program my TV that I wasn't able to program into other universal remotes. It was legit a point and shoot for both the TV ;and cable box. However where this remote lacks is when the battery gets low so does the signal strength of the remote. So far the remote lasts about a week to a week and a half under good usage. Still happy with it overall. Now I don't have to worry about bumping the controller and end up fast forwarding/rewinding what I am watching.

It is an excellent remote control that helps you out to handle the PS4 instead of using a plethora of them. The only issue is that it disconnect from the device and take a while to come back. This is a little bit annoying.

After purchasing a PS4, I was in need of a remote that I could use instead of the controller that came with the console. Because I had purchased a similar remote for use with my PS3, I had high hopes for this remote once I found that such a remote existed for the PS4. Not the same as the PS3 remote AT ALL! The buttons on this remote are TINY! As a woman with small fingers, I am amazed at how difficult it is to push buttons on this thing. And considering the fact that the tiny PS4 button has to be pushed everytime I want to play, fast-forward, reverse, using this remote becomes a colossal headache. The final "con" of this device is it's humongous thirst for battery-juice! I've had to change the batteries twice and I've only had it 2 weeks. Hopefully, Best Buy will allow me to, at the very least, return it for a store credit. I've had it with this useless thing!

I was so sick of watching my controllers dying while I was watching netflix. This remote is the perfect solution for that problem I feel like the product would be a much better buy at a lower price point than $24.99.

Great for controlling the ps4 as a entertainment unit. Only drawbacks are itis a little too small compared to the PS3 version for my taste, and it seems to drain batteries quickly. Other then that love the remote!

All functions work as advertised. Connects to the PS4 very easily and can be paired to pretty much anything else in your entertainment center. My only complaint is the need for batteries (2X AAA). I know they have good battery life and will not be replaced for a long time, I just wish I didn't need to buy batteries anymore.

Feels good in the hand. Sleek design. Way better than using the regular ps4 controller

Great addition to the 4 does exactly what I need it too even works my Sony Bravia tv.

Having a remote is so much easier than trying to figure out which buttons to push in the controller when watching DVDs. Definitely recommend a remote if you watch tv apps or DVDs on your PS4.

Does its intended job which is to control the PS4 and TV, etc. No frills, but handy. Only annoyance is that you have to push the button of the intended system you're trying to control before you can use it.

Had the remote for my PS3, loved it but I still had to have my remote for the tv for volume, channel and source switching. Not anymore, this one will do a pretty good sized lists of different tv, amplifier, and cable box remotes all in this one remote. I have only had some issues with guiding through Hulu's app on this remote but I'm always having issues with them someway or another anyways.

Got this so we would be able to cut down to 1 remote instead of 2 and a PS4 controller to manage the TV and all of our devices/streaming services. It does a good not great job. Manages our TV, soundbar, PS4, etc well and with minimal hassle and an easy learning curve. Some customization of functions which is handy and retains all aspects of the remotes we were was using before. Pros: -It works -Button layout is sensible -One remote for multiple devices -You can customize some buttons w/ functions of other remotes* -Pairing is fairly smooth** *There is a handy section in the manual explaining how to do this **Our TV didn't pair using the auto pair function so I had to use codes in the back of the manual. It was a little time consuming but not problematic and pretty straightforward. Just a heads up if you do have to go this route - test all the buttons after getting it to initially pair. I went through about 4 or 5 codes that paired some functions/buttons on the remote before finding a code that paired all the functions/buttons (that I tested/use regularly). Cons: -Some of the buttons are a little small -Volume is linked to TV mode*** *** i.e. if using the remote to navigate around the PS4 menus I have to switch the remote function back to "TV" if I want to adjust the volume. Doesn't seem that big of a deal but I have to do this surprisingly often so it is kind of annoying

If you have a PS4 and you use it to match a lot of movies or get online and I would recommend you buy this. It is so much easier to use then the PS4 controller and has made things so much easier for me.

Works good. I always had trouble remembering what button on the ps4 controller did what when watching a disc or netflix. The remote is a definite must if you use your ps4 to watch movies or tv shows.

i liked this alot, kind of sucks that it only works on the main home screen, dvds and netflix, i was hoping it at least worked with vudoo and hulu and such but it doesnt, its good but nothing amazing

I purchased this to replace the Insignia PS4 remote as the Insignia one is just plain but was the only one available prior to this remote. I'm happy with this remote and the fact that it works with apps such as Netflix, Youtube, Hulu etc and it can also be used as your main remote for your TV, Cable box, and Receiver. Definitely worth having if you watch a lot of movies and TV shows through your PS4 or if you own and currently use the Insignia PS4 remote.

This is what we have been waiting for since the PS4 was released! The official universal remote has worked as advertised for me. I have it programmed for use with my PS4, TV, DirecTV receiver, and my PlayStation Soundbar and each works perfectly. It was a little annoying to program when you have to program the special code for each device into it but once you get it, it is done.

Had a hard time getting this remote to sync to the PS4. Once it sync'd it worked great. Went to use it the other day and it was no longer sync'd, not sure why. I hope that was a one time glitch.

Only problem with this remote is that you have to constantly sync the remote with the PS4. You have to press the PS button if inactive for a couple of hours. Old PS3 remote was always connected.

Purchased as a gift for my son. I also watch movies on his PS4. For me it's difficult with the controller. This remote makes it so much easier.
