Works well and better then using controller. Wish it had backlight

Makes using Playstation 4 with Television very easy.

It's cool but disappointing that it wouldn't work backwards with my ps3

Even though I have a DVD player connected, I never used it. I always used a gaming system. This remote gave me the option to use an easy remote than having to share my game controller. :)

I guess the remote gets the basic job done but, it's got a few bugs out of the box. First off, it's doesn't work in every PS4 app, at least not until the app is updated to support the remote. Vudu has not done this so, it will not work in this app. The remote works just fine in Netflix and for Blu-Ray playback and it is nice to not have to use up my batteries in my PS4 controllers when I just want to watch some videos. Second bug, the manual lies. The manual describes a procedure where you can make the volume buttons always control you TV or AVR even when set to control your PS4, called "volume passthrough". The problem is that it only works with the TV codes. I could never get it to work with my AVR. I called PDP, the company who makes the remote, and they confirmed that the initial version of the remote sent to retailers had some features that did not work correctly. PDP replaced my remote with one that worked correctly so now I can control the volume of my AVR. It is still an average remote that gets the job done.

As the licensed PS4 media remote, I'm somewhat disappointed. There's actually buttons missing from the PS3 remote that I used a lot. The ones that stick out: Audio, subtitle, and the R & L buttons. I watch the WWE Network a lot. The R & L buttons help out with selecting points in events such as PPVs.

Easy set up, and does have code to control TV's and cable boxes as well.

Had to get rid of my old TV remote and this was a perfect replacement. I hate having to use multiple remotes and this let me combine into one.

The buttons are small but does the job just needs the right batteries

Excellent remote. Easy to use. Simple instructions for setting it up on your PS4. I recommend anyone who is looking for a remote to watch movies off of their PS4, this is the one for you.

I thought the older PS3 remote worked better. The PS4 remote seams to have some lag time trying to get it fired up to work have to press a button twice initially to "Wake" it I think. Remote does feel a little cheaper in hand but no other option really for it other than the controller. After purchasing I would have rather just keep on using the controller.

I does everything it says it does. It's not as "universal" as I'd like, but it has enough of the TV's functions to keep my happy. The only thing I don't like is that I have to hit the "TV" button before I can adjust the volume. Then if I want to go back to PS4 functionality, I have to hit the "PS4" button. I mild inconvenience, but an inconvenience nonetheless.

Nice remote for ps4 and easy to use if your streaming Netflix and all. But it difficult to use in the ps4 browser to go on a internet site.

To this day the PS3 is probably the greatest media player for a home entertainment center, I still use the last gen system to play blu rays & any downloaded movie content. I used a similar media remote to this PS4 remote but the PS4 interface still needs some work to get up to speed with PS3's awesome media playback features, otherwise the remote works just fine.

Super convenient not having to keep charging controller to use system for streaming only. Super easy set up, love it.

Works great with my tv and PS4. Only app it doesn't work with us Vudu.

Love it especially when watching a movie I bought of the PlayStation network or Netflix. Other apps such as Hulu control doesn't work that great. I'm not too picky, so I'm fine with that.

This is our second remote. My son ended up breaking the first one. But we were happy to replace it because it’s awesome to have the tv and ps4 both using the same remote.

This is definitely the best way to watch a DVD on the PS4 console. I got tired of using the regular controller and bought this remote. It makes a world of difference!!
