I like the remote. It works good. The only thing I would like them to change is that if you are using the remote for your PS4, you have to press the tv button before you can control the volume.

I bought this remote to simplify the blu-ray/dvd watching experience. I find it easier to control movie functions with an actual remote instead of the PS4 game controller. I'm old and not really a gamer. Very useful to turn on console and navigate to apps like Netflix, Amazon Prime, YouTube etc. I highly recommend for some using a PS4 for more than just games.

Loses the connection all the time. Requires a punch of the os button to connect all the time. PS3 works more seamlessly.

Since my wife isn't really into the gaming side, bluray watching was the biggest use. She was quite frustrated when sony didn't release a remote on launch like it did with PS3. Let me tell you one thing, Happy wife truly equals Happy Marriage. This thing really does the trick

Love the design and that it can control the tv as well as the ps4. Doesn't have full functionality for apps like Hulu and Netflix. I am sure they will fix this in the future though.

Works well with the ps4, but unable to connect to my insignia tv or fios cable. Possible user error, but if I had trouble, most will too.

I've read complaints about this remote because it doesn't work right. From what I've seen, it controls all PS4 functionality like it should. Unfortunately, some apps, like Hulu haven't built its support into their apps. This is an app developer problem, not a PlayStation problem. I would definitely recommend over the regular gaming controller.

I recommend this remote to those who liked the official PlayStation remote for the PS3. It took awhile, but now there's one for the PS4. I like that I can program it for my TV, and no longer need to use my controller to watch Netflix. The only bad side to this remote is that likes to eat batteries a little bit. Expect to be swapping out 2 new AAA's every few months if you're a frequent Netflix watcher.

Overall, this is a decent remote. The slim size fits well in your hand; however, the buttons are a bit small, so they can be difficult to identify if you're in low lighting. For me, the worst 'feature' is that it has a sleep mode; which means that you can't simply pick it up and use it. If it's been sitting for a little while, you have to wake it up by clicking a few buttons in a row to get it to send a new request. I get the purpose, but it's still pretty annoying.

Works well for me. Now I don't have a lot of externals linked to this remote. I use it to control the PS4 and that's it. But like I stated, I like it.

Good slim and light remote control for the PS4. I've bought every "media" control for all the PlayStations going back to PS2 and this one has to be the best one so far. It's better than using the game controller while surfing YouTube & Netflix. Only downside is it needs to be re synced after 30 mins or so of not using it cause it disconnects, but easily reconnects by pressing the PS button again.

Really like the slender design and its very easy to use.

i actually wanted the smaller pdp media remote but this puppy went half off black friday sale so i gave it a whirl. thus far ive only used it with my ps4 to watch netflix, amazon prime, and blu-rays. the remote works reasonably well, the blutooth works similar to the ds4 controllers and turns off after a period of inactivity and there is a bit of lag when turning it back on. the batter life is great, still showing a full charge after a month of use band it allows me to keep my controllers charged for gaming which is what i wanted. dbatteries not included

I've been waiting for a long time for this to be released. I hate using the controller to watch movies on my ps4. Works great for Netflix and my other apps too. I had no problems syncing it with my ps4. The remote does feel a bit flimsy so I won't end up replacing my universal remote for this, but as a ps4 accessory it's great.

Let me be clear: I LOVED my old PS3 remote. LOVED it. And I wish SONY would get off their butts and create a remote for the PS4. Because even though this one comes close...it's a miss in many ways. It's missing many of the buttons we frequently use (Subtitles, for one). Further, it needs to be "woken up" almost every time you go to use it. If you don't, you sit there pressing buttons like a fool and nothing responds. It's better than using the PS4 controller, but not by much. A shame.

This remote allows my family to easily use the PS4 for media without using battery life of the game controllers. Not sure that it needs as many buttons as it has.

Powers PS4 on/off. Has an eject button to remove discs. Can control 3 other devices. Smart learning features. Bluetooth is used for PS4 features, and it automatically shuts that section down if not used after a time to preserve battery. Other devices are controlled by infrared. Had problems getting it to control ATT Uverse tv box, and there is a volume punch through feature that I couldn't get to control my Pioneer receiver volume no matter what device is selected.

This remote is very easy to use and connects to all of my devices. It is basically a universal remote and ps4 controller in one. Especially good when trying to watch dvds/netflix/etc because I do not need to waste my controllers battery charge.

Needs some programming if you want to take advantage of your Televisions extra functions but works great right out of the box for the basic functions.
